Today no patriarchy, no feminism.

All I want is to raise a question,

Are not all the genders equally human?

26th January- Republic Day,

Celebrated with such pomp, show and gay

Actually celebrates our Constitution,

Does that defines differently the law of equality for a man and a woman?

We all are living in an Independent and a free nation,

But are we actually at a free station?

When we don't even have the basic freedom to be ourselves,

Man to express his emotions and woman to choose for herself.

Why our society demands boys to be rugged and stubborn,

Girls to be the painted and decorated figures in the long run.

Who is the one setting all these norms,

Whosoever it may be......benefitting the industries selling the certain prototypical image and forms.

It's something like divide and rule,

Where the third party seeing the benefit from the fight of other two- drool.

Successfully created a divide between the ones who are actually incomplete without one another,

Religiously we worship both the gender

But practically who is inferior and who superior is what we actually want to infer.

Both are like the two lines of a railway track that go parallel to one another,

In absence of even one, the train of life can't go ahead my brother.

Be it the woman responsible for giving birth to a new life,

But is it possible if with a man her life is not intertwined.

Can a man achieve and manage everything all alone - both personally and professionally?

If yes then why even the lord needed his Adhi- Shakti to complete him fully?

All can not be wrong in saying after every successful man there is a woman,

So don't let the selfish hypocrites
Flourish on the cost of innocents' emotions and sentiments.

It's the high time we realise the truth and talk of some sense,

Come over these stupid stereotypes and nonsense.

Give importance to individuality more than the gender and truly live our lives,

stitch it's torn apart pieces with the thread of love and oneness and become menders of our own lives.
