Girl Meets Flaws.

Emily's POV

We are sitting in class. I feel my phone vibrate. I look down at my lap. Why do they keep texting? Why won't they leave me alone?

"Graduation and awards night is coming up. I am very proud of this class. Several of you will be recognized for your achievements throughout the year." Mr. Matthews says, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Awards are a scam. A girl like me never had a chance Matthews. Never had a chance." Maya says from next to me, standing up. Maya looks at Riley and I. I sigh.

"Alright I'll do it." I say. "But it's ridiculous." I say then Riley and I stand up. "It's a scam, Matthews. She never had a chance." Riley and I both say.

"Maya will be receiving the totally cool award." Mr. Matthews says. Maya sits down as the class claps. I sit back down, fixing the sleeve of my hoodie.

"Maya you just found out you won the totally cool award yet you just sit there?" Riley asks her. Then she realizes. "Oh you're being cool. Why won't you rub off on me?" She asks Maya.

"And our two finalists for the scholar athlete award are Lucas Friar and Billy Ross." Mr. Matthews says.

I zone out of the rest of the conversation and look at my phone. Why don't you just do us all a favor and leave. It's from the person who keeps texting me. I just want them to stop.

I sigh and the bell rings. I look around and see everyone packing up. I notice that Farkle isn't in the room, there is a webcam thing in his spot. I get up and grab my messenger bag. Riley and Maya walks up to Cory's desk. I follow them.

"Yes?" He asks us.

"Everybody's getting an award but me. And Emily. What good is it to have you as my teacher if the fix ain't in?" Riley asks him.

"I'm sorry, Riley." He says.

"Riley you don't need an trophy to make you feel good about yourself." I tell her.

"Yes I do. Sometimes I feel kind of invisible." Riley says. I wish I was invisible to whoever keeps texting me and putting the notes in my locker. It's been happening for about a week or so.

"Sometimes you want to be invisible, Riley." Farkles voice comes from the weird webcam thing. "Believe me."

I frown. My phone buzzes. "Want to be invisible? It's not gonna work. Just because you're a nothing doesn't mean you're invisible." The text says. I swallow back some tears, threatening to fall.

Riley, Lucas, Maya and I are walking down the hall. "I looked in the library and he's not there." Lucas says and Billy walks up.

"Hey guys. I checked the ball field. No Farkle." He says. I roll my eyes.

"You looked on the baseball field for Farkle?" I ask him. "Billy are you even trying?"

He shakes his head. "Not really." He says and walks away. I scoff.

Janitor Harley and Farkle walk out of the janitors closet. "Troubled lad. I now release you to the hands of your caring friends. Cause they have time for this." Janitor Harley says and walks back into the closet and closes the door.

"You wanna tell us what's going on here buddie?" Lucas asks him.

"Are you my buddy?" Faekle asks him.

"What?" Lucas asks, shocked and confused.

"Spill it Farkle." I say.

"Somebody made fun of my turtle necks." He says. I look at him confused.

"Your turtlenecks?" Riley asks.

"Yeah, somebody said they make me weird." He says.

"You are weird." Maya says with a small nod.

"She doesn't mean that." Riley says.

"Sure I do. He knows he is. He embraces it. But you already know that Farkle. That's what makes you unique." Maya says to him.

"What good is being unique if somebody knows your really not?" He asks us with a look on his face. He walks away. I watch him walk away, sad. Someone's bullying him like someone's bullying me. I frown.

After school I head home. I see my dad in the living room. Oh no. I walk to my room. After a few minutes of just being in my room, my phone rings.

"Hello?" I say without checking the caller.

"Hey." I hear Lucas say.

"Hey cowboy." I say.

"Do you know what's going on with Farkle?" He asks me.

"No, I wish I did but I don't know." I say. My phone buzzes. I look at it and see Maya calling. "Can I add Maya into the call? She's calling me."

"Yeah, sure." Lucas says.

"Okay one sec." I say then add Maya into the call. "Maya?"

"Hey Em." She says.

"Okay, your on a group call with Lucas also." I say to her.

"Hey Huckleberry." She says.

"Hi Maya." He says.

We talk for a little bit about Farkle and what could be going on with him. I hear my door suddenly open. I put my phone under my blanket, hoping he didn't see it. I notice a bottle in his hand. He's drunk.

"You're the reason she left." He says to me.

I give him a confused look, it's mixed with scaredness. "Wh- what?" I stutter.

"You're the reason thwat your mother left! You're the reason she walked out!" He yells. He throws the glass bottle at me. It breaks on my arm. I shriek from the glass thats now some what in me. Not all of it is though.

"Why did you do that?" I ask him in a small voice.

"You deserved it. You're worthless. You're the reason she left and didn't come back! She should have stayed and we could have gotten rid of you!" He starts to hit me. Kicking, punching.

"Ahh!" I yell trying to get away from him but it's not working.

"Stop screaming!" He yells still hitting me.

After a while he stops and leaves the room. He was hitting me for like twenty minutes. I slowly, very slowly get up and look in the mirror. There's bruises on my face. My lips busted, again. And I have a black eye. No.

I hear a noise from my bed. Oh no. I left my phone on. I didn't hang up on Maya and Lucas. I walk over to the bed. I pick up my phone and put it to my ear. I'm so gonna regret this. "He- hello?" I ask into it.

"Emily! What happened?" Lucas asks. "What was all the yelling? Why did we hear glass breaking?" Maya asks.

"No- nothing." I stutter. "Nothing happened. I'm fine." I lie. I can't let them find out.

"Why was your dad yelling? Why did it sound like glass hit something then you screamed?" Maya asks.

"I- I'm fine." I sat, tears falling from my eyes.

"Why are you crying?" Maya asks.

"I'm not-" I get cut off by my window opening. Half expecting my dad to come in, I quickly cross the room near my closet. I see Lucas walk in, with his phone to his ear. He looks around the room, then at me, shocked.

"Emily!" He says and rushes over to me.

"Shhh!" I shush him. "Don't let him know your here! What are you doing here Lucas?" I ask him.

"I heard glass breaking and you yelling along with your father yelling. I came over to check on you. And I'm guessing it's a good thing I did." He says. Maya suddenly comes through the same window and looks around.

"Oh my god. What happened?" She asks coming over to where Lucas and I were.

"Nothing. I'm fine." I say but they can see the room and the bruises. They know what happened here. I wish they didn't.

"Emily, why didn't you tell us?" Lucas asks.

I ignore his question and then say. "You- you can't tell anyone. No one. Not Riley. Not Farkle. No one. Please promise me." I beg them.

"We can't. You need to tell someone. Go to Mr and Mrs Matthews. They can help you." Maya says. I shake my head no, tears falling from my face.

"I can't please don't make me." I say, crying.

"Fine. We won't make you tell them. But we are gonna help clean up in here. Maya, help he clean the bruises. I clean the glass." Lucas says. I can tell he's beyond angry. I just hope it's not at me.

"No, I I can clean it." I say.

"I'll clean it." He says. I go to protest but he gives me a look. I slowly nod. "Maya, help her get cleaned up." He says. She nods.

About twenty minutes later, my room is clean and so are the bruises on me. "Thank you. I'm sorry about this." I say.

"You don't need to be sorry." Maya says.

"You guys should get going before he comes back in. Please." I say.

"Okay but first tell us who's bullying you." Lucas says.

"Wh- what?" I ask. No! He can't know about that too.

"I saw your phone while we were cleaning." Maya says.

"I don't know who it is. It started a week or so ago and I don't know who it is." I say.

"What's the number?" Lucas asks.

"I don't know, it's a blocked number." I say.

"Okay. We'll see you tomorrow. Please if anything else happens call me or Lucas." Maya says.

"I promise." I say, nodding.

"Okay." They both say. They soon leave.

I look back in my mirror. Maybe I am worthless and a nothing.

I wake up the next morning. I change into a pair of jeans and a NYC hoodie. I putnon some makeup to hide the bruises that are on my neck and face. I make sure bruise and cut is covered the best I could then leave my room, with my phone in my bag and my bag on my shoulder.

I leave my apartment and then continue my way to school. I am now sitting in between Maya and Riley. I can see Maya and Lucas keep glancing at me.

"Gandhi. What'd he do?" Mr. Matthews asks.

Freed Ireland." Maya says.

"Try again." He says to us.

"Freed Ireland." I say.

"Freed India." Mr. Matthews says.

"Before or after he freed Ireland?" I ask.

"Jackie Robinson. What'd he do?" Mr. Matthews asks the class.

First Irish guy to play in the major leagues after Gandhi freed 'em." Lucas says.

"I... I quit." Mr. Matthews say. I sigh.

"But you can't quit, sir!" Farkle says from the webcam.

"And you need to be in my class, Farkle. How long are you gonna be out sick?" Mr. Matthews asks him.

"Don't know." Farkle fake coughs. "Pretty bad cold, sir."

"Okay. Feel better." He says to Farkle then points to a picture. "What about her?"

That's Malala." I say."

"The Taliban doesn't think that women should be educated. She stood up to them and became the first teenager ever to be nominated for a Nobel peace prize. Sometimes the world presents you with opportunities to show who you really are. Will you have the courage to stand up to someone who tries to take your spirit away?" Mr. Matthews says. Wait, I know what's wrong with Farkle. Someone's bullying him.

"May I be excused?" I ask, raising my hand. Maya and Lucas look at me slightly concerned and Riley looks confused.

"For what?" Mr. Matthews asks.

The world has presented me with an opportunity." I say then get up and walk out of the class. I walk to the janitor's closet.

I sigh when I see Farkle. "Farkle. Nobody in this school loves to learn more than you. Get back into the classroom where you belong. Nobody gets to crush your spirit." I say to him.

"My spirit's fine. I just don't want to be me anymore." Farkle says. His words break my heart.

"Why?" I ask him confused. "Because somebody said something about what you wear?" I ask him. "Stupid reason. Stupid shirt. Stupid, stupid, stupid shirt." I say lightly hitting his shirt, so I didn't actually hurt him. "It isn't you." I say to him.

"You can have these, janitor Harley. I'm done with turtlenecks." Farkle says and hands the turtlenecks to him.

"Aw, jeez. Thanks, kid. They won't fit me. Oh, it's a good thing... they're horrible." Farkle, this isn't you. This isn't the Farkle I know. This isn't the Farkle I star-" I cut myself off. I almost told him I liked him. "And I want to know why and I want to know now."

"He said I was the biggest nothing in this school." Farkle says.

"What?" I ask confused.

"He said I had no right to walk around acting all confident and pretending like people liked me. He said I had no right to have friends like you, because I was the biggest nothing in this school." My heart breaks, again, at his words. Who told him that? Who said that to him?

"Farkle, it's not okay that somebody called you that." I say.

"Kids can be very cruel. I know this from personal experience."

"You were picked on as a kid?" I ask.

"No, I was the other one, the picker-on-er. I'm so ashamed. Just... just look away." Janitor Harley says, looking away.

Riley, Lucas, and Maya walk in. "Somebody told Farkle that he doesn't deserve us as friends." I say.

"Who?" Maya asks.

"It's not important." Farkle says. I shake my head.

"It's the most important thing in the world." Riley says as I walk to the door.

"I'll find him myself and I'd hate to be him when I do." I say. I go to leave but Lucas picks me up and lifts me. I wince in pain from one of the bruises but no one but Lucas notices.

"Am I there yet?" I ask. Lucas sets me down.

"Farkle, don't let what anybody says get to you. That's what gives them power." Lucas says to him.

"Why are you my friend?" Farkle asks him again for the second time this week.

"What is it with that?" Lucas ask him.

Riley sighs. "Farkle... Would you just come back to class?" She asks him.

"Pippi longstockings is right." I raise my eyebrows at Janitor Harley. "I, janitor Harley Keiner, was in my youth a school meanie. And someone you all know and love was often the target of my shenanigans. But his will was so strong, it changed the nature of our relationship forever. In fact, he even got me this job, and now I hold him in the highest esteem." Mr. Matthews walks in. "Hey, Johnny Baboon!" Janitor Harley says.

"Johnny Baboon?" The five of us kids ask.

"You promised me!" Mr. Matthews exclaims.

"Oops." Janitor Harley replies.

Farkle, you're here. Are you okay?

"I'm fine, sir." Farkle replies.

"Good. Then I'll see you in my class tomorrow morning." Mr. Matthews says.

"Yes sir." Farkle says.

"Hey, Baboon. You're a pretty scary dude." Janitor Harley says to Mr. Matthews.

"I learned from the best." 'Baboon' replies.

"Yeah, I was the best. Now give me your lunch money." Janitor Harley says to him, in a joking way.

"I'm a teacher. I don't have any." Mr. Matthews replies.

I walk out of the room, I go to my locker. I hear footsteps behind me. "Are you okay?" I hear Lucas ask.

"No, did you and Maya tell anyone?" I ask.

"I didn't and I don't think Maya did either." Lucas says. I close my locker and look at him.

"Someone's bullying Farkle." I say.

"I know. We have to do something." Lucas says.

"Yeah we do. What am I supposed to do?" I ask him, referring to last night, with my father.

"I think you need to tell someone. Emily, I don't want it to get worse, neither does Maya. We all would be upset if something were to happen to you. I know Farkle would be devastated." Lucas says. I look at him confused.

"I can't." I say.

"Yes, you can." He says.

"You don't no what it's like. You don't know what it's like to be so scared to go home. To be so scared of the person who is supposed to be there for you forever. You don't know what it's like to have someone you care about, someone you really really like be bullied. You don't know what it's like to know that you have to tell someone but can't because your scared." I say to him with tears in my eyes. Wait, did I just tell him I liked Farkle.

"Wait, did you just say you like Farkle?" He asks me confused.

"Yeah." I say involuntarily. Oh crap.

"You like Farkle?" He asks.

"Ye- yeah." I say.

"Since when?"

"I don't know couple of weeks ago, I guess." I say. I look around. "I gotta get to class, I'll see you later." I say and

Lucas, Riley, Maya and I sit on the bay window. It's Lucas's first time here.

"This is a very special place to us, Lucas." Riley says to him.

"This is where Riley, Emily and I figure out our most important stuff." Maya says.

"Do you ever talk about me here?" He asks.

Riley gasps. "What do I do now? I don't know what to do." She says to Maya and I.

"Start over and move on." Maya tells her. Riley chuckles.

"This is a very special place to us, Lucas." She says again.

"Do you ever talk about me here?" He asks, again.

"You gave me bad advice!" Riley says to Maya.

"Well, I appreciate you having me here." Cowboy says.

"Whatever Farkle's dealing with, he shouldn't have to go through it alone. I want my Farkle back." I say.

"We're not as good without him. If you tell him I said that, I will Jack you up, son." Maya says. The door opens. Cory walks in.

"Ah, the brain trust. You guys have one day to figure this out and fix Farkle or else you come to an adult. You understand me?" He says to us.

"Yes, sir." Lucas and I say. "Yes, Dad." Riley says. "Yes, Mr. Matthews." Maya says.

"If we could just find out who this guy was, then I know you'd take care of him." Maya says to Lucas.

"What? Beat him up? Maya, all those people on the blackboard never became like the people who were attacking them by resorting to their methods. It's just not the first response of an intelligent person." Lucas says.

Cory comes back in the door with a certain look on his face. "Get out!" He says to Lucas. He rushes over as Lucas climbs quickly out the window. He grunts. He grabs Lucas's shoe, and holds it in his lap. "That... that felt really good." Riley reaches over and grab the shoe from him, clutching it in her arms, petting it.

"Where's Farkle?" I ask the next day in gym. I have to wear leggings and a long sleeve shirt to hide my bruises.

"I thought he said he wasn't going to miss anymore classes." Lucas says.

"Then why haven't we seen him?" Maya asks.

"Oh. Hey, man. Baseball after school?" Billy asks Lucas.

"Oh, I don't think I'm gonna make it. My buddy's still being hassled and I wanna be there for him." Lucas says to him.

"Your buddy? You mean Farkle?" Billy asks. I give him a look.

"Yeah, nobody's seen him." Lucas says.

"You're better off." Billy says. I glare at him. What?

"Excuse me?" Lucas asks. Billy scoffs.

"Come on, Lucas. I don't really see Farkle as your buddy." He says. My glare hardens.

"Why not?" Lucas asks him.

"You don't think he's different than us?" Billy asks.

"What do you mean? Smarter? Yeah, he's the smartest kid in school, but he doesn't make a big deal about it." Lucas says and sighs. "I mean, he does wanna take over the world and everything, but frankly, I'd like to see what he does with it." He says.

"Lucas, Farkle is a nothing." Billy says and Maya, Riley and I look at each other shocked.

"You're the one who did this to Farkle? Why would you do that to a guy like him?" Lucas asks him.

"I don't know. 'Cause he's a guy like him. You wanna let me go now?" Billy asks him.

"You're the nothing, Billy!" Lucas yells, looking as if he was gonna punch Billy.

"Lucas, don't." Maya says.

"I thought this is what you wanted, Maya." Lucas asks.

"What? She wanted you to pop me, Mr. Perfect? Well, I don't think that's what he's gonna do." Billy says.

"Yeah." Lucas says and Billy chuckles. "No, that's what I'm gonna do." He adds.

Maya jums on Lucas's back. "No! That's what he wants. He wants you to be like him." Lucas groans.

"You see, Lucas is like me. We live in a cloud of awesomeness, remember? Handshake?" Billy asks.

"I don't like you like this. This isn't the Billy I know. And I wanna know why and I wanna know now. And would you get off my back?" Lucas says.

"Come one, man, the Billy you know is your teammate, and that comes way before whatever these guys are to you." Billy says gesturing to Maya, Riley and I.

"These guys?" Riley asks putting her arms around mine and Maya's shoulders.

"Boy, are you wrong. These guys are my friends... All the time, not just on the field." Lucas says.

"How are you even friends with that little guy?" Billy asks. I go to go over to them but Maya stops me.

"Because I can depend on him, because he's the most loyal person I've ever met, because he's my best friend." Lucas says.

"You really mean that? You're my best friend, too!" We hear Farkle says from up above. We look up and he's on the rope.

"Farkle, how'd you get up there? I thought you couldn't climb the ropes." I say to him

"I can't! But in desperate situations, apparently I can fly!" Farkle says then Maya, Riley and I go and put mats on the floor.

"You really don't wanna be friends with a goofball like that?" Lucas asks Billy.

"Not really, no." Billy says causing me to roll my eyes.

"Let me ask you something. What's wrong with you?" I ask him.

"There's nothing wrong with me." He replies

"I've never actually seen you hang out with anybody that isn't on the team." Lucas says.

"Dude, whatever. I don't need this." Billy says.

"You don't? Too bad. Because friends like Farkle don't just fall out of thin air." And with that Farkle screams and falls onto the mat. I rush over to him and help him up. I hug him quickly and then turn back to Billy and Lucas.

"You can have him. You'll figure out sooner or later that they're not us." Billy says.

"Who's us?" Lucas asks.

"Nice. That's exactly the way I used to think. Now here I am... with a mop." Janitor Harley says. Billy sighs and leaves.

"Okay, we're done. It's all over. Nothing more to do except carry on with our simple, middle-school lives. Except..." Maya SAS and gestures to Riley.

'What are we gonna do about Billy?" Riley asks.

"Riley, you can't fix everything." I say. "Okay, go ahead."

Farkle sighs. "I almost died." Farkle says.

"I know, buddy." Lucas says. I smile at the two.

I walk to my locker the next morning. I hear the sound of someone walking next to me. I look and see Missy. I roll my eyes.

"So did you consider taking my advice?" She asks in a snobby voice.

"It was you. You're the one who was texting me and bullying me." I say realizing it.

"Well yeah and we all know everything I said was true. You are worthless and a nothing." Missy says.

"No she isn't." A voice from behind her says. We both look and see Maya. "She's not a nothing. And she's not worthless. And it wouldn't be better is she left it would suck. But if you were to leave it might be okay. Leave her alone. What did she ever do to you?" Maya asks Missy.

Missy laughs smugly. "She is a nothing. Just like Billy was calling Farkle a nothing. And she is worthless." Missy says.

"Just leave her alone, do you want to get expelled for harassment." Maya says. Missy scoffs.

"Fine. Bye worthless." Missy says and walks away.

"Come on. Let's get to class. Hopefully she will leave you alone. What do you want your flaw to be. I'll write it for you." She says.

"I think it should be worthless. It's how I feel." I say. She gives me a look but I nod. She sighs and takes out the marker and rights it on my forehead.

"What's going on?" Mr. Matthews asks as he walks in.

"Riley made us write on our heads!" 'Tattletale' says.

"Riley?" He asks her.

"Insecure. It's always mattered more to me what my friends think about me than what I think." Riley says.

"Emily?" He asks me. He gives me a confused look. Probably the word choice.

"Worthless. It's how I feel but I know that with my friends I'll be okay." I say. I look at Lucas, Farkle, Maya and Riley.

"Maya?" Mr. Matthews asks her.

Maya points to her forehead. "When I own it, it doesn't make me feel so bad."

"Good. So, before someone can use our own flaws against us, maybe it would help us to admit we all have 'em." Mr. Matthews says. Billy gets up and goes to walk out of the room. "You going somewhere, Mr. Ross? Trying to be invisible?"

"Believe me, it doesn't help." Farkle says. I give him a small smile, which he returns.

"You know, Billy, you seem to be the only one here not wearing a flaw. Do you not have any?" Mr. Matthews asks him.

"Well, none I know of." He says confidentiality.

"What made you treat Farkle the way you did?" I ask him.

"Yeah. We never thought of you this way, Billy. I always thought of you as the good guy." Lucas says.

"Look, I like people who are... Like me. Is that a flaw? Because I don't think so." Billy says.

"Yes." Our classmates say.

"You don't think I know I'll never be a genius freak like you? I shouldn't make fun of that?" Billy asks.

"No." We all say.

Billy scoffs. "Stop making me feel bad. I already feel bad enough you got such great friends. And that makes me feel... I don't know. Is there a word for that?"

"You're jealous. But you're Billy Ross." Riley says.

He scoffs, again. "Yeah. I'm Billy Ross. Jealous of you? Of him? Because this little guy doesn't need to hit a baseball to... Have friends? Does that sound like jealousy to you? Let me see that." He says and takes a marker.

"Welcome to the team."

"Thanks. Glad to be here." Billy says.

"We're all human beings. We're all on the same team. And if we sense our own flaws because we see them in others... It's true friends who help us wipe them away." Cory says, passing around wet wipes.

"I'm sorry, Farkle. Any friend of Lucas should be a friend of mine." Billy says and wipes off Farkle's word. Maya leans over and wipes off mine, I smile at her. I wipe off Riley's and she wipes off Maya's.

"Thanks. Want me to get rid of yours?" Farkle asks Billy

"No, I just got mine. I think I'd better try to understand it a little bit more." Billy says.

"Can we do the handshake?" Farkle asks.

Billy scoffs. "Dude. You think you're ready for the handshake?"

"I'm so ready for the handshake." Farkle says. They do the weird handshake.

"Well, I don't understand anything." Billy says.

"Mr. Matthews?" Lucas asks.

"Mr. Perfect." Matthews asks.

"Will my friend be all right?" Lucas asks.

"I believe these belong to you." Janitor Harley says walking in placing Farkle's turtlenecks on his desk.

"Thanks, janitor Harley." He replies.

He clicks tongue and puts his hands on Matthews shoulders. "This is Mr. Matthews."

"Yeah. People change." Matthews says as Janitor Harley says.

After the awards, I head over to Riley's after going home and changing. Riley won the spirit award. Maya the totally cool award and Lucas won the athletic award. I didn't win any but I'm fine with that.

I knock on their front door. Topanga answers the door. "Hey, Emily, come in." She says. I smile and walk in. I see Lucas, Maya and Cory sitting on the couch.

"Where's Riley?" I ask.

"We need to talk." Cory says. I look at Maya and Lucas, I see them share a glance but then look back at me with slight guilt, I think, in their eyes.

"What's going on?" I ask them.

"Is everything alright at home?" Cory asks.

"Uh yeah, it's fine. Why?" I ask.

"Emi, sit down." Topanga says. I slowly sit in between Maya and Lucas. "Now I know this might be hard but you need to tell us the truth. Is there something going on at home?" She asks.

I look at Maya then Lucas. They told. They promised. Why, why did they do that? I can feel tears already in my eyes. May squeezes my hand and gives me a small nod. I sigh and roll up my pants, so they could see the bruises. I take off my sweatshirt, leaving my short sleeve shirt still on. They look at all the cuts and bruises. "I'm scared. I'm so scared." I say, tears now falling from my eyes.

"Is it your father?" Cory asks. I nod, not being able to speak. "When did it start?"

"When my mother left. He used to hit her, so when she left. He started hitting me. It's been since I was like 5 maybe 4." I say crying.

"Why didn't you tell anyone about this?" Topanga asks.

"I was scared. I didn't know what to do. I just wanted it to stop but I was to scared to say anything. I was scared he'd hurt me worse than he already does." I say.

"You should have came to us." Cory says.

"You don't understand! I was scared! I didn't know what to do. He would come home drunk, mad. It was like he never cared. Like he hated me. And I was just scared and I couldn't do anything. I didn't want him to hurt me worse. I just I was scared." I say sobbing. Maya hugs me as I cry.

"It's gonna be okay. You're gonna stay here and we need to call the police." Topanga says.

"No! Please you can't!" I say.

"Emily, it's the only way that he's gonna stop. Do you trust us?" Cory ask me. I nod. "Okay, now I'm gonna go call." He says then leaves the room. I continue to let out small sobs. Topanga pulls me into a hug.

"I'm sorry." I mutter.

"Why are you sorry?" Lucas asks me.

"Because I didn't tell you guys sooner." I say.

"You don't need to b sorry, sweetie. There's nothing for you to be sorry about." Topanga says. I nod.

A couple of hours later, and watching police take my father away. He didn't see me though. Good. I talked to the police and they thought it was good if I went to a hospital to check and make sure none of the cuts were infected. So we went and came back, Topanga took me, with Maya.

We got back to the Matthews and I see Farkle, Riley and Lucas in the living room. Riley and Farkle know. Maya told me Cory told them. I was kinda happy I didn't have to tell them. I walk over to Riley who is holding out her hands for a hug.

"I'm happy you told Maya and Lucas." Riley says.

"Me too." I pull out of the hug and look at Farkle. He hugs me. I tense up for a minute but hug back. I cry a little.

"It's gonna be okay." He whispers to me. I nod.

"Okay group hug." Riley says and her, Maya and Lucas join in the hug.

Topanga later tells me that when this goes to court she's gonna be my lawyer.

As bad as I hate this is all happening, I'm happy I have people that love and care about me.

Okay, I'm ending the chapter here. I tried my best with this chapter. I hope you guys like it. So Emily was being bullied by Missy. I know that some of you wanted it to be her or Smackle and I thought it'd be easier to have Missy bully her. Maya and Lucas caught Emily's father hitting her. They helped her and now Topanga, Cory and the others no what was happening. And they arrested her father and she has a court date soon. So that'll be an original chapter in this book. Okay so I really hope you liked it. I tried my best. Please comment what you thought. It means a lot when you guys do, and I see how you like the book. Anyways I'm tired it's 4 am and I have to be up in two hours for school so goodnight. Anyways thanks for reading. Bye.

-Kelly.
