Jungkook, slightly tired from the walk to the cafe, slumped in the doors only to spring right back up as he spotted Taehyung standing behind the counter with a cute brown work tee and skinny jeans. If the brunette was honest with himself, his boyfriend looked hot in his uniform. Waving to the blonde, Jungkook flashed a grin and got in line at the counter. After a short lady with two kids got out of line after ordering, Jungkook stepped forward as it was his turn, and smiled at Taehyung.

"Can I order two medium caramel macchiatos?" Tae looked at him and chuckled, slightly confused.

"Why two?" The blonde asked innocently. Jungkook just looked at the older and smiled, as if he knew something Taehyung didn't. In reality, Jungkook just wanted to buy his boyfriend a coffee, but he thought it was fun to mess with him a bit. Tae chuckled at the brunette's cuteness, and nodded, still confused, writing down Jungkook's order on a slip of paper. He handed the paper to a tall brown-haired lady with striking blue eyes as he turned back to Jungkook, who reached to pull out his wallet.

"How much?" The brunette asked, still digging in the pocket of Tae's joggers. Suddenly, Jungkook felt a strong but gentle hand grip onto his arm, halting him from getting his money. The brunette reddened slightly at the public contact, and watched as his boyfriend threw a wink at him, saying,

"Don't worry, Jungkookie. It's already payed for~" Jungkook frowned slightly as his boyfriend continued to speak. "Now, your drinks will be right there," Taehyung continued, motioning to a black square on the glass countertop as he spoke, "in just a few minutes." Jungkook, slightly disappointed that his boyfriend had given him free drinks when he wanted to pay for them himself, walked over to the other side of the the counter. He was met by the same smiling girl who had taken his order.

"Here's your drinks, sir! Have a good day~" Jungkook flashed a kind bunny grin as he took hold of the two macchiatos, and walked back over to the counter where Taehyung looked to be waiting for another customer. Jungkook beamed as he handed his boyfriend a coffee, the cozy scent of caramel wafting from the coffee cup in his hand, enveloping his senses and reminding him of home.

"Here, Taehyungie! I wanted to buy you a coffee, but you gave it to me for free..." Jungkook pouted slightly, looking up at Tae with big brown eyes. Laughing, Tae took the coffee before leaning over the counter, lightly brushing their lips together. Jungkook tensed at the movement, uncertain as to whether it was okay to kiss like this in public. Taehyung felt his boyfriend's uncomfortableness, and pulled away, still smiling.

"I love you, Jungkook. And thank you for the coffee, it smells amazing!" Tae said in awe, as if he'd never had a caramel macchiato before. Realizing his chance to do what he even came to the coffee shop to do, Jungkook bit his bottom lip, looking into his boyfriend's cozy eyes.

"I... I love you too, Taehyung." As those words left Jungkook's mouth, he felt his wall finally crumble. It wasn't a scary or fearful feeling though. He had accepted the ability to love again, and a strange sense of relief washed over him, as if those words filled a hole in his heart, his soul, that he had no idea existed beforehand. The blonde widened his eyes, his mouth slightly gaping. He hadn't expected the younger to say it back. Before Tae had even the slightest chance to speak, Jungkook smiled benevolently, a faint rosy color appearing on his cheeks, and nearly skipped out of the coffee shop.

Sipping his macchiato, a soft yet emotional song by the name of 'Coffee' by subgroup BT3 of BT flowed through his head. Jungkook hummed the bittersweet tune on his way back to Tae's house, happy with his decision to finally let himself love again.

Back at the coffee shop, Taehyung continued on with his day, although his brunette boyfriend was the only thing on his mind. After Jungkook left, Tae realized something that made him chuckle to himself.

"Wait... did he have my sweatshirt on?" Tae thought to himself, laughing at the realization. His eyes sparkled as he thought of Jungkook, the only thing on his mind for the rest of his shift.

At 2:16 in the afternoon, Jungkook heard the front door of Taehyung's house open, and he just about ran to greet his boyfriend. The brunette enveloped the blonde in a hug, and frowned playfully as he noticed Tae was holding something behind his back.

"Yah, tell me what you have, Taehyungie!" Jungkook said, laughing despite his attempt at false anger. Taehyung just smiled, and pulled out a massive chocolate bar from behind him. Jungkook gasped as the huge bar of chocolate was handed to him.

"Where's yours?" Jungkook asked, concern strewn across his features. At the brunette's seemingly silly question, Tae chuckled.

"I didn't buy one for myself, Jungkookie. I love you, and I wanted to make you happy." Jungook blushed, hugging Taehyung and burying his head in the older boy's chest.

"I love you too..." Jungkook paused for a moment before continuing, "You don't know how great it feels to say that. It feels like I've been holding it in forever, even though it's just been a few days." Tae smiled, the chocolate bar still in his hands, which were now wrapped around Jungkook's body. "Tae..." The younger spoke warily, his attitude changed, "I need to tell you something." Taehyung pulled back from the hug, holding out the chocolate bar to Jungkook.

"Eat this first, then you can tell me anything." Tae laughed at his own statement, which caused Jungkook to groan playfully.

"But Taaeee, this thing's huge!" I'll only eat it if you eat half~" Taehyung chuckled, ruffling the younger's brunette hair before saying,

"You're so cute, Jungkookie. " The brunette scowled, not liking being called cute, before muttering,

"You're cuter." He took the candy bar from Tae, at the same time taking the latter's hand and leading him to the couch. Cuddling up to Taehyung, Jungkook heard the older say,

"By the way, is that my sweatshirt?" The younger's cheeks flared as he nodded, humming in response.

"Mhmm, and your pants too." Jungkook rested his head on Tae's shoulder, whom was laughing, and opened the chocolate bar. He broke it in half, and gave half of it to the blonde he was leaning on. Jungkook tried to focus on being happy in the moment, but he couldn't get what he was about to confess to his boyfriend out of his mind. The brunette sighed, listening to the small, happy hums that escaped Tae as he bit into the chocolate. Jungkook took a small bite out of his own chocolate, smiling as the milky texture filled his mouth. "Hey... Taehyungie?" Jungkook asked, distracting the blonde from the chocolate held in his hands.

"Yeah, Jungkook? You okay?" Taehyung asked, concern evident on his features. Jungkook sighed. His mouth went dry as he spoke his next words, despite the milky chocolate that had filled it moments before.

"I lied. In our game yesterday. I lied about not dating before," Jungkook bluntly stated, not meaning to sound as rude as he had seemed to come across. Taehyung tensed his muscles, more worried about what the brunette was feeling and if he was okay rather than him lying.

"Jungkookie, are you okay? What happened?" Jungkook closed his eyes, exhaling as the stress had already gotten to him. He shouldn't have told him, it would've been fine if he had kept it a secret, it didn't matter-

"I dated someone before. He hurt me... A lot. I.. I don't wanna talk about it right now. Can you please just hold me? I trust you to keep me safe from him..." Jungkook was surprised as he managed to cut his own train of thoughts off. He usually would overthink things, which was the cause behind the panic attacks he used to have as a child. As the brunette finished speaking, Taehyung pulled the younger closer to him, running his fingers gently through Jungkook's hair.

"I don't know what he did to you, or what happened, but I love and will protect you, when you need it." Jungkook hummed quietly in response, melting into the older's calming words.

"Thank you." The two stayed like that for a while, the time not mattering to Jungkook unlike it usually did. All he wanted to do was stay there forever, concentrating on Taehyung's soft breathing and being lulled by his heartbeat. Jungkook would soon find that these two things, the breathing and heartbeat of the older, were something he would come to rely on to calm him down, to strengthen him. "Hey... Tae?" The brunette softly spoke, his timid voice breaking the comfortable silence.

"Hmm?" The older hummed, smiling lightly in response to his boyfriend.

"Do you wanna go somewhere? Maybe out to eat, or see a movie, or if you want we can just stay here and-" Jungkook was cut off by his stomach growling, which caused him to laugh, "I am kinda hungry.." Tae laughed at the brunette's awkward adorableness.

"We can go out to eat if you want to, Babe." Jungkook's cheeks flared red at the pet name Tae had sweetly called him.

"Ahh, okay Taehyungie. Where do you want to go?" Taehyung smiled his signature boxy grin at the boy looking up at him, brown eyes gleaming.

"Wherever you want to go, Jungkookie. I don't mind, I've eaten at basically every restaurant around here and they're all pretty good," Tae spoke nonchalantly. With that information, however, Jungkook seemed a tad bit upset. He had wanted to please his boyfriend by taking him out, not make him bored by them going to a place he had already been. Tae noticed this, and quickly added, "I-I mean, any restaurant you're in will be ten times better than normal, Jungkookie."

With that, the boys stood up lazily from the couch, Jungkook stretching as he pulled out his phone and checked the time.

"Holy shit, it's already 3:18?! No wonder I'm so hungry, all I've eaten today is that caramel macchiato I bought earlier," Jungkook said, giggling at his boyfriend, who was laughing. Tae rushed to his bedroom, threw on a cozy mint green hoodie, and walked back to Jungkook, who was waiting. The brunette playfully tapped his wrist, as if to tease Taehyung for taking so long. As the boys still had their shoes on from earlier, they walked hand-in-hand out the front door. Tae's expression dropped as he realized something important.

"Jungkook, my car's still parked five blocks away from the fucking mall." He said coolly, annoyance traced in his voice. Jungkook laughed, throwing his head back at Tae's annoyed expression.

"I guess we're walking to the car then, huh?" The brunette chirped, happy that he'd get to walk with Taehyung for longer. Of course, he was bummed out that he would have to walk around 5 or 6 miles to get to the car, but he was still somehow happy.

"Jeon Jungkook, I fucking love you, even though I'm kinda pissed at myself right now." Taehyung stated bluntly, tightening his grip on his boyfriend's hand.

"Kim Taehyung, I fucking love you too." Jungkook said, giggling.

One laughing, the other's face holding a look of pure annoyance, the two boys walked, holding on to each other's hands the whole way there.
