Previously on the Time of Man

"Sooo...You wanna go at it?" Y/N asked as he turned around.

Juvia gasped as she had heart eyes, she started hyperventilating, and she passed out with a crazed grin on her face.

"Hey! What's the matter?" Y/N asked, "Juvia? Juvia? Juvia?" Y/N asked, poking her face as she continued to have a crazed grin.

'Did she take it that way?' Y/N thought as he tried to get a response from Juvia.

Present Time

~Third Person POV~

ATTENTION: MAJOR CHANGE IN THE STORY. YOU (Y/N) HAVE BEEN FAIRY TAIL FOR 1 YEAR INSTEAD OF 6 MONTHS. I had to change this because some points did not make sense to me for later arcs.

"Y/N!!!" Screamed a familiar female and male voice.

"Huh?" Y/N turned to the voices to see Mira and Elfman running towards them.

"Hey! What's Mira doing here?" He mumbled.

Mira ran straight towards him and hugged him tightly.

Y/N was a bit concerned and looked towards Elfman in question, who just stared back at him.

"Not that I'm complaining about hugging you, Mira," Y/N said, as his arms went around her, "But what happened?" he asked.

"I...I-We used Take Overs," Mira replied, her voice soft as she was still hugging him.

"Oh, Nice!" Y/N responded calmly, "Wait! We?!"

"So, you took her down, Huh?" Elfman interrupted.

"Why does she have that crazed grin on her face?" Mira asked as she looked toward Juvia.

"I don't know, must be having a good dream or something," Y/N replied, "Wait! Hey! Don't change the topic!" he exclaimed.

"Let's go. We have to help Nashi and Silvia," Mira said, moving away from Y/N and running to find a way further up.

"Yeah!" Elfman said before he started running after his older sister.

"WAIT! TELL ME THE FULL STORY!!" Y/N screamed, "Don't leave me hanging!"

"LATER!" Mira and Elfman said together.

Y/N grunted and looked toward Juvia before he sighed and ran after the two siblings.

~Meanwhile, with Silvia and Nashi~

Nashi and Silvia were panting, but they were not exhausted due to magic consumption; in fact, it's quite the opposite; they are trying to figure out a way to stop Aria.

Aria's magic ability is quite peculiar; it's called Airspace. So, naturally, it represents Air, making most of his attacks invisible. One of the few reasons why Y/N could not immediately detect his attack on Makarov.

However, one of the Airspace's most feared spells is Drain, where Aria envelops the Airspace's target, which ultimately drains their magic instantly, making them "void".

Makarov and Y/N were able to escape narrowly. However, due to the loss of magic, Makarov was lying on a bed in the basement.

"You've endured my attacks, and you're still standing. Very Impressive," Aria announced in a monotonous manner.

Nashi and Silvia were still panting.

"Any ideas?" Silvia asked.

"Nope," Nashi replied.

Silvia just sighed in response.

"His magic is hard to detect; we were warned," Silvia mumbled.

"There must be some way," Nashi mumbled.

"Looks like you're having all the fun," said a male voice, "You didn't even bother to call Aria."

"Because Gajeel, I could take on both of them. I don't need the help," Aria retorted.

"I'll take the Salamander. You take the Ice Princess," Gajeel said as he landed next to Aria.

"There's always someone better than you, young wizards," Aria said.

"We'll see about that! FIRE DRAGON ROAR!!" Nashi cried out as a red magic circle with a dragon in the middle appeared, and a torrent of fire went towards Gajeel.

"IRON DRAGON ROAR!" Gajeel cried out in response as both their roars clashed in response. Gajeel's exclusive, metal-based Dragon's Roar. After gathering Magic Power in his mouth, Gajeel shapes it into a powerful tornado which he subsequently emits and sends towards Nashi's roar.

Both of the Dragon Slayer's attacks clash against each other.

"ICE-MAKE: ICE CANNON!" Silvia cries out as she creates a giant, long-barreled cannon made of ice and targets Aria.

However, as soon as she shot the cannon, Aria disappeared.

'Huh? Where did he go?' Silvia thought as she looked around nervously.

"I shall end this with a gift," Silvia heard Aria's voice but could not see him, "I will allow you to join your master in his suffering."

Aria quickly appeared behind Silvia.

"AIRSPACE: DRAIN!" Aria cried out, Silvia turned around to respond, but it was too late. Aria places his hands before him, their open palms facing each other, and then moves them towards Silvia. Two purple magic circles appeared parallel before she s enveloped in a golden light.

"SILVIA!!" Nashi cried out as she rushed toward Silvia; however, she quickly dodged an attack from Gajeel.

"Not so fast!" Gajeel exclaimed as he hit her by extending his arm. "You're gonna watch as she's drained of her magic," he grinned.

"IRON DRAGON ROAR!" Gajeel cried out; Nashi, unable to respond, quickly slammed into the wall due to the attack; she groaned.

"AHHHHHHH!!!" Silvia screamed.

"So sad! Yes, I will completely drain anyone caught in my Airspace of their powers!" Aria exclaimed as tears started coming out of his eyes.

"AHHH!" Silvia screamed, "I CAN FEEL MY POWERS BEING DRAINED!"

"Silva! Nashi!" Happy screamed with tears in his eyes.

"NOOOO! I CAN'T!" She screamed; her pupils turned green.

Suddenly, someone punches Aria; he gasped and disappeared.

Silvia's saviour was Erza.

"Erza!" Happy cried out happily.

Silvia panted as she kneeled.

"Y-You're here! Are you sure it's okay to move?" Silvia asked, "You're injured!" She looked toward Erza to see that she was pissed.

"So, you're the one who harmed our master?" Erza asked; her tone did not hide her anger.

"The great Erza Scarlet," Aria retorted, "How unfortunate, seems though the great Titania will lose her head alongside her friends."

"I have no business with you. Get out of my way, or I will make you," Erza retorted with a serious face.

Aria chuckled, "Well, now that I'm finally facing a worthy opponent, I guess it's time I finally started taking my battles more seriously," he untied the bandages around his eyes.

His eyes reveal a small bright pink iris with white around it. Suddenly, the pink iris grew more prominent with a white 'X' shaped cutout in the centre.

Meanwhile, the magic outside for the Jupiter Canon started glowing. The circle cast a terrifying golden glow on the town.

The Fairy Tail members were terrified.

"Now, Titania," Aria said as smoke gathered around him. "Step into Zero, the Airspace of death! It consumes the life of all who dare to enter!" he exclaimed.

His eyes start shining bright as he readies to cast it, bringing his relaxed hands before him, the right one on top and the lower down with their palms facing. It prompts vast, spiralling Airspace to generate before him, made visible by a giant, smoky whirlwind, which he described as "the airspace of death", capable of consuming all life. 

The increase in pressure caused debris and smoke to fly around Aria. 

Nashi covered her face with one hand while Happy tried to hold onto Nashi's white scarf.

Silvia, who was exhausted, was also trying to shield herself with one hand.

Gajeel took a step back to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

"Idiot," he muttered.

"I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!" Happy screamed in desperation.

"A spell that consumes life?" Erza asked as she requiped her sword. "Tell me! How can you do this?! How can you take lives so easily?! You scoundrel!!" Erza exclaimed, pointing the sword at Aria.

"It'd be more fun to show you," Aria retorted as his eyes shined.

"Erza!" Silvia and Nashi exclaimed.

Erza rushed towards Aria.

"Let's see how well you handle this, Titania!" Aria mocked; with a grunt, he thrust his hands forward, causing the wind to rush towards Erza.

"HAAA!" Erza exclaimed as she sliced it.

Aria was shocked, "But how? She's cutting through my airspace!" his eyes were wide open.

"NOOO!" he screamed.

Erza flew up, equipped with her Heaven's Wheel Armor.

"BLUMENBLATT [1]" Erza exclaimed, equipped a fair amount of swords, and then charged at Aria, slicing him with the two in hand. As she rushed past, the equipped blades followed, acting as a secondary strike.

"She took him out with one hit!" Happy exclaimed, his eyes wide open.

"Man! She's one scary lady!!" Silvia said while sweatdropping.

"Someone like you could never hold a candle to the strength of our master!" Erza growled, "You'll be remembered only as a sobbing coward who fell by my hand."

"T-That's....so sad," Aria muttered.

Gajeel was shocked, but he took his chance and escaped.

Meanwhile, outside, the magic circle had disappeared after Erza defeated Aria.

"What happened?" someone asked.

"Its eyes aren't glowing anymore!" Bisca exclaimed.

"Woah!" Wakaba exclaimed.

"Focus! The phantoms are still here!!" one of the wizards shouted.

"Good job, guys," said a familiar male voice.

The four inside turned around to see Mira, Elfman, and Y/N walking toward them.

Erza smiled as her body started to wobble; even though Y/N could restore some of her powers, she was still exhausted, and as a result, she began to fall.

Y/N rushed to catch her, "It's alright, love, you can rest now." He whispered to Erza; both smiled as Erza closed her eyes.

The Phantom guildhall started to shrink, causing the whole place to shake.

"Yes! We did it! We stopped the Abbys Break spell from being cast!" Mira exclaimed happily.

"Because we're awesome!" Elfman retorted.

"Hah! You know it!" Silvia cheered.

"All of the members of Element four are defeated! We won!!" Mira cheered.

"Not yet," Y/N said, "We still have Jose left, and he's coming, so you better leave, I wil-"

"No! We stay and fight him together!" Mira interrupted.

"Yeah! We're Fairy Tail! We leave no one behind!" Elfman cut in.

Y/N shook his head, "Not this time. It would be best if you left with Erza."

Suddenly, they sensed dread.

"What the?" Silvia asked.

"I sense death," Mira said.

"I'm manly, but even this gives me the chills," Elfman said as he looked around.

They heard slow claps, and all turned around to see Jose walking down the steps, a dark purple aura following him.

"Bravo! You're all quite keen! Very impressive Fairy Tail wizards," Jose mocked, "I knew this would be fun, but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be this entertaining."

He looked at the Fairy Tail wizards with a creepy smile.

"You annihilated the Jupiter cannon, disposed of my elite Element 4, and you even managed to bring my magic giant to its knees," Jose stated as his voice got louder.

"Master Jose!" Erza exclaimed.

"Creep," Elfman exclaimed while sweating.

"He's Phantom's master?!" Silvia asked with her eyes wide open.

'It's like there's a black cloud hanging over him,' Mira thought, as she covered her mouth, 'I feel sick just being near him.'

"Thank you. You've been so kind as to entertain me," Jose mocked, "I simply must return the favour." The purple aura around Jose grew heavier.

A golden aura surrounded Y/N, pushing the purple aura. Finally, he turned to his guildmembers, "You leave right this moment!" Y/N shouted as he waved towards them and a purple magic circle appeared below them, teleporting them outside the guild.

"You think you're enough to match me alone?" Jose asked.

"More than enough," Y/N retorted with a smirk.

"Arrogant!" Jose exclaimed, "Let me wipe that smirk off your face."

Jose's eyes opened wide, and his yellow pupils became small, surrounded by dark grey. He lifted his right arm as the ground around him started floating, the debris flying up.

Y/N's eyes glowed purple. 

"Fall," Y/N said.

The ground around them started to shake more violently as cracks appeared around Jose. In an instant, the floating debris dropped to the ground due to the increase in gravity. 

Jose noticed the change in gravity as he felt tremendous pressure on his body.

"Hmmm...you are strong," Jose said with a grin.

"This is just the beginning," Y/N retorted.

Jose counter-attacked with purple shades around him to form a jellyfish-like ghost with many arms to attack Y/N.

Y/N pushed them back with a beam of yellow light, "Lightning Dragon's Roar!"

"Ah!" Jose exclaimed as he was pushed back by the roar, away from Y/N. He grunts as he extends his right arm sideways and generates several of his ghosts around it, which start circling it in spirals. He subsequently shapes such spirits into a destructive wave of Darkness Magic sent rushing at Y/N, splitting anything in its path, including the ground itself.

Suddenly, cracks appeared on the roof and the floor. Glass shattered, and walls started crumbling as if the room was collapsing.

"You see, only time is stronger than gravity, but it seems you're all out of time," Y/N said.

The pressure on Jose's body increased, forcing him to kneel. His wave dispelled, and a shock went through his body as it experienced a slight magic loss. 

"W-What?!" he exclaimed, struggling to stand as his eyes flickered back to white and grey, his body shaking under pressure, "T-This m-magic, g-gravity? I thought only Blu-"

"I believe Master would want to have a word with you in my place, however, since he's not here," Y/N interrupted and smiled. He brought his hands in front of him, open palms facing each other—a golden hue formed around him and a ball of light formed around his hands.

Meanwhile, outside, the five wizards appeared through a purple magic circle.

"Y/N!" Erza and Mira exclaimed together.

"What happened?" Bisca asked as she was panting while still firing at the phantoms.

"Why did Y/N teleport us outside?!" Silvia asked.

"Because he wanted you to stay outside the Joses magic's influence," a deep male voice replied.

The members looked toward the voice to see Master Makarov appear before them, clutching his chest with bandages around him.

"MASTER!" all Fairy Tail members exclaimed. Makarov grinned in response.

"I believe you kids are in for quite a show today," Makarov said as he looked towards the castle.

Meanwhile, inside the castle, "I invoke Fair Law," Y/N said as a golden magic circle with the Fairy Tail crest appeared on his left eye.

The clouds around the castle parted as the giant magic circle glowed brighter and brighter as if the sun was right before them. The bright light enveloped Jose, his body shaking as he tried to cover his eyes.

The members turned back to the castle to see a giant yellow magic circle appear above it, and it shone brightly.

"What's happening?" Cana asked.

The Phantoms around the Fairy Tail members started disappearing; some reached out to the members hoping to either damage them or ask for help.

"The light seems to be killing them! But we're all still okay!" exclaimed Alzack.

The members of Fairy Tail were in awe as they stared at the light.

"What is that?" Lucy asked, covering her eyes.

"Fairy Law," Makarov answered with a grin, staring at the light with his hands behind his back. "A spell that vanquished darkness with sacred light only affects those the casters see as enemies."

~Inside the castle~

Once the dust settled after the magic was over, Jose looked as if he had aged considerably. An ashen expression on his face, his clothes covered in dirt, his body shaking and his hands still trying to protect his eyes. However, his eyes were completely white.

It was as if time moved so fast for Jose that he looked 80 years old.

"You will never bother Fairy Tail understand?" Y/N said with a severe expression. "I'm sure the Magic Council will be watching you after the chaos you have caused. So you better be on your best behaviour."

Y/N looked around the castle's ruins and started walking towards the edge. 

However, the Air around Jose started warping, revealing Aria with eyes wide open and in his hands were purple magic circles aiming for Y/N.

"Our master has fallen, how sad," Aria whispered, "The man has left himself open. This is my chance!" Aria jumped towards Y/N.

"Fall"

Whatever momentum Aria had, was gone, as his body was forced to the ground, pushing him all the way to water while being forced through the castle's floors.

"The war is over, don't make me wipe you out of existence," Y/N said over his shoulder.

He jumped forward and flew towards Fairy Tail.

"Good to see you back, Master," Y/N said with a smile. Makarov grinned and nodded in response.

"WE BEAT PHANTOM!" all the Fairy Tail members cheered.

Yo! Is it been a while, huh? Thanks for giving this and my other works love while I was away. Sorry for making you wait. You could say I was going through a rough phase, but I will try to get back into writing as soon as possible. I think [Strike the blood] should be next.

Give me some time to sort out the next Arc for this book. First, I have to figure out how we're speedrunning towards the Grand Magic Games Arc, as that's the big story point in this story.
