Abigail's POV

Opening my eyes I could tell I was in the lab. That bright white ceiling was something no one could get use to. No matter how many times I had awoken to it there was nothing that could prepare me for the brightness that I knew was there.

"Would you put that down please!" I hear Fred call out to someone.

Sitting up I see Jason looking around the lab with a look of pure fascination on his face. Really he looked like a kid in a candy store. Standing up I began to walk over to them as they fought over what looked like a tablet. Oh great he could easily break that.

"Children? Must we really act like this while the adults are sleeping?" I question and that gets both of their attention.

Jason and Fred both look at me a bit ashamed as Fred took the tablet back and set it in a place he knew it wouldn't get broken. Smart if you asked me. Sighing Jason put his hand through his hair as Fred went back to typing at the computer. Apparently he was adding Jason to the database.

"Sorry, so many new things here. I should have waited for you to wake up." Jason says as he walks to my side.

"Probably would have been a better idea but don't worry. No harm done...I think." I say and then I catch a look out of the corner of my eye, there on the table beside mine was another table that looked like it held someone with a white sheet over them.

Jason took my hand as we both walked over together. Fear started to course through my body as we inched closer and closer until we were standing right beside the table. Taking the edge of the sheet I move it away to reveal Hannah. She looked peaceful and even had a smile on her face.

"She did wake up but we hand to send her somewhere else, that's when she didn't come back. There is a chance you could save her...would you risk it?" My boss asks as they walk into the room looking at both Jason and I.

"I think I would like to try boss." I say as I look her dead on.

"Right, and your newly acquired husband would be going with you as well. That or else I think Fred will kill him for touching his things." Boss says walking to the computer and she starts to bring up files. "Right now her body is frozen and will continue to be that way unless you find her where we sent her. Both of you should know this isn't going to be an easy mission."

"I'm willingly to help Abigail with anything. Including finding her friend." Jason says as he squeezes my hand.

"Yes, that's a good sign for her but she has done so many missions she is a pro, you well you're just getting started dear boy." Boss says as she files finish printing off. "Either of you know anything about Ancient Rome?"

Shaking both of our heads I could hear Fred laugh.

"Then you both might want to brush up on it. You have twenty four hours before you are sent onto the next mission oh and Abigail congrats on your marriage and the mission. Two for one, not bad." the boss says as she walks out of the room.

Looking down at the folder I sigh as I read the title. "Ancient Rome". This was going to be pretty interesting. Especially with Jason with me this time.
