Chapter 2

Abigail's POV

This witch had no idea who the hell she was dealing with, she wanted a fight well then, I would be more than happy to give her one. Walking to the machine I look it over one more time before stepping inside. According to Hannah and the others it had been two years since I had been in here. Now here I was going back to one of my first mission. Stepping in I took a deep breath before turning around and giving Fred the thumbs up signal. Nodding her put the coordinates in for the Salem Witch Trials. This was where she went to gather her witchy power.

Opening my eyes, I was back in the woods, laying flat on my back. Sitting up carefully and looking around I realized I wasn't in just any woods, I was in the graveyard. Jumping to my feet I try to gather my balance when I bump into someone. We both tumble to the ground. Groaning again I sit up and my eyes are shocked to see John looking back at me.

"Your back, just in time too. Angelica isn't as tame as she was before, and I thought she had killed you and I would never see you again." John told me as he looked me dead in the eyes.

"Never say never. John she is after me, she found my file and she is gathering people to take me down. I have to stop her before it's too late." I confess half expecting him not believe me at all.

"Sounds like something she would do, come on we have to hide you then." John replied as he helps me to my feet and begins to lead me through the woods to his small cabin.

His cabin had all he needed to survive but he paced around the room. I didn't know how long Angelica had been here, she could have slowed time down or sped it up depending on her needs thanks to that darn watch. He stopped and looked at me with a face that told me he had an idea.

"The doctor, he thinks you were a dream and she is back to using him again, against my many protests I may add. If you show up and get him to go back to your side then she loses power." John says as he comes up and takes my hands in his.

"It's worth a shot, I'm not really sure how to stop her so I am willing to do what I can to keep my family safe." I reply wondering if he heard all of what I said.

"You have a family now? An even better reason to fight then." John says as he hugs me. "A child?"

"A daughter so I am told, there is a long story behind it and I promise to tell you but we may not have much time before Angelica leaves this time." I speak softly to him.

"The blood moon is tonight, this is when she will want to bond with the doctor and use his energy as her own. Go and stop him by all means, you remember where he is, I will distract Angelica." John tells me as he turns to walk away but I stop him.

"She may kill you, even I don't know how much power she has at this moment." I try to tell him but her grabs my head and kisses me.

After I return his kiss, he pulls away barely but looks down into my eyes.

"I would die for you, now get going." John says and then takes off out of the cabin.

I didn't want anyone to die, well anyone beside Angelica and I felt like she had it coming in all honesty. Grabbing a spare cloak I found on the ground, I quickly tie it around me and put the hood up. I did remember where the doctor lived and it wasn't hard to get in either, no one had good locks in this time. Hiding my cloak I sat in his parlor and waited, I didn't know where he was and it wasn't a good idea to go out looking for him due to Angelica. A few hours later I heard the door open and then close.

Using my watch, I change into a white dress and walk into the kitchen where I see the doctor drink in hand. Once he saw me though, the drink fell from his hand and the glass shattered on the floor below him. Wiping his mouth it looked like he couldn't believe the sight before his eyes.

"Abigail...you are real...dear god..." Jason spoke with a slight stutter. "It wasn't a dream, dear god you are real."

He came right up to me and took me in his arms and began to cry. Not the reaction I was expecting that was true but it was a lot better then him wanting to kill me. Putting my arms around him, I hug him back hoping to comfort him. Pulling away just to look at me he grins and tears come from his eyes down his cheeks.

"She told me you were a dream and nothing more, no one remembered you besides John and I...oh Abigail forgive me, I have many things to tell you." He spoke quickly.

"You will not bond with her, if you dare to leave this house tonight horrible things will befall me." I tell him as I caress his cheek and wipe away a few tears.

"I won't, I swear it, they would have to drag me away from you." He tells me as he hugs me again.

John's POV

Angelica wasn't dumb, more than likely she knew the moment Abigail arrived. I had seen the doctor in passing and he looked as though he were having second thoughts about his bonding with Angelica and the dark lord. Who wouldn't have those? Still he went home, to Abigail who was hopefully already there waiting for him. I watched Angelica's house from a distance and she looked just as she had before Abigail made her reveal her true self to the people of Salem. Not a wrinkle on her face. I knew what she truly looked like though and that would be an image I would never forget.

Darkness had fallen, the blood moon was rising and I knew she wouldn't just wait for the good doctor to come to her. I was right, Angelica made her way out of the house, large bag in hand and began to make her way to the doctors home. She was never one to be patient. What I didn't expect was for four followers to join her on her walk to the doctors. Abigail was in for one heck of a fight, one that she might not be able to win.

Taking the back way to the doctors home, I ducked beside his home just in time for the five witches to knock upon his door. The fool opened the door, no doubt only expecting it to be Angelica, he was wrong. I could hear them force themselves inside. Abigail was probably hiding, that meant that I had to get in there and save her. Running to the back, I opened the back door and the sight before me was one I did not ever want to see.

Angelica had her dagger to the doctor's throat, Abigail stood her ground and looked the evil woman in the eye. The other four were not in the room though, it was a trap, one I should have seen coming. I felt a sharp item at my back and the hold applied just enough pressure to make me move into the house.

"Did you truly think me a fool Abigail? You truly are predictable, oh how I have waited to see your face again. Trying to save two men of your past, now you will watch them both die and there is nothing you can do, no powers to help you this time." Angelica grinned but Abigail stood still.

"Nothing you do can save your soul, selling that was your first mistake. Your second was coming after me, I will kill you and this time I mean with a bullet through your head!" Abigail yelled at the top of her lungs.

"Kill them." Angelica spoke gleefully as she grabbed the doctor and led him up the stairs.

Once Angelica was out of sight, the four hooded men circled Abigail and myself. As they went in for the attack, the dress melted away and Abigail's suit appeared on her body. Though she had weapons she did not use them. She took the attack head on just as I did. Grabbing one of the hooded men's hand she twisted it backwards until she heard a crack and then threw him into the nearby lit fireplace. The man screamed and removed his hood to reveal himself as Ezekiel. The one from the woods who would accuse innocent women of being witches.

One then attacked me, using my strength I kicked them out the back door and onto the ground. I heard the breath be kicked out of his lungs as I turned back to see Abigail grab another of the hooded mans neck and hold him again the wall. She took off his hood to reveal it was the magistrate...we all knew he was one of them so that was not a shock.

"Let him go!" a female voice shocked me as I felt cold steal under my neck again.

"Anne, you just don't learn do you. This is true evil and the only thing it will achieve for you is an early grave." Abigail speaks confidently as she dropped the magistrate.

"Says the woman dressed like a whore." Anne retorts as she holds the knife closer to my neck. "What does Abigail have that I do not? I know you have feelings for her, I remember her and you unlike the others of the town."

That's when we all heard moans coming from upstairs. Abigail was running out of time, with a wink I signaled her to let her know that I could handle Anne, she nodded and took off up the stairs.

Abigail's POV

Running up these darn narrow stairs was never easy, especially since I was in a hurry. Kicking the door in I saw a bare Angelica on top of Jason and she held her dagger up high.

"NO!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

Jason barely sat up as she plunged the dagger into him, this wasn't a bonding, she was sacrificing him! I was horrified as he looked to me with pleading eyes. Running up to Angelica I didn't care if she was dressed on not, grabbing her by her hair I threw her off Jason and went to his side. He was gasping, I knew that wasn't a good sign. It was true what Angelica said, I had no power to save him this time.

"Watch as he suffers and dies all right before your eyes. You can not deny at one time you loved him!" Angelica cackles.

I feel teas threatening to spill from my eyes as I took Jason's hand in mine. John had finally made it to the room and grabbed Angelica trying to hold her in the same spot.

"I'm sorry...I didn't want to... she said she would kill you...forgive m-" he never finished as he let out his last breath and went limp on the bed.

Looking to the wound, I gently touched it and began to cry. Jason was important to me and now all because I didn't kill that witch, he was dead right here before me. Looking to his face, his eyes were still open and I couldn't bare that, softly I closed his eyes. The moment did not last as a loud crash behind me grabbed my attention.

Turning back around, I saw Angelica remove another blade from John abdomen. That witch! Standing I run to attack her but she disappears from my sight and from this time. Grabbing John I hold him close to me as she grunts.

"Damn, I hate her." John grunts again trying to stay calm.

"Hold on John, you are coming with me." I tell him as I get my watch out and begin to type something into it.

"To where your from? Are you sure that's a good idea?" John questions as he tries to mask his pain.

"I am not letting you die, we can heal you and then we will plan from there." I reply as I hit the button and we appear in headquarters.

Fred is shocked but helps John to a table. John groans as Fred helps him take his coat and shirt off. Hannah was already gone and the boss had already told me I had to do anything I could to accomplish this mission. I had an idea and it involved John. Fred managed to stop the bleeding and patch up John.

"He just needs a bit to rest and then good as new...what about the doctor though?" Fred questioned, he was probably helping Hannah instead of watching me.

"She sacrificed him, and I will get her for that."

"Why did you bring John here?"

"No one knows Angelica better then him, he will be an asset and my partner for the time being. Locate her so we can get going to the next time Fred." I tell him as I go to Johns sleeping side.
