I yawn as I sit up in my bed still feeling butterfly's from Saturday night. Yesterday was basically a Netflix and chill day. Lucy tried to call me a few times. I didn't answer.

Putting my feet on the ground I decide to wear something nice. Maybe Eric will say something. Or will he not? Are we talking in school? Gah! I really don't know and I'm so confused.

I can still feel the tingles from all the kisses I received from my prince. He drove me home and somehow got me upstairs without letting my dad notice. And without waking me up.

I slide the hangers down in my closet flipping from outfit to outfit. My eyes pause for a moment on a black skater skirt. I choose this and a red crop top. It shows a little bit of stomach but not too much. Lucy would call me a tease.

Putting this on I strut over the the bathroom. I plug in the curling wand and brush my teeth while I wait for it to heat up.

Then I curl the ends of my hair perfectly. Pleased with my work, I take a picture and post it on Instagram. To finish off my look I add red lipstick and combat boots. The perfect I just found out my boyfriend was cheating on me and my best friend new about it look.

I grab my black purse and keys and head downstairs.

"Good morning sweetie. Why don't you look beautiful" my dad greets me

"Thanks dad" I smile and head over to the fridge and begin to gather the ingredients for a protein shake. But I stop. I have just enough time to stop at Starbucks on they way.

"Honey, don't you think that's a little too much skin showing?" My dad tries to say this lightly

That's alright. I think its cute that he cares.

"Oh no Daddy! Its just enough! Bye! Love you!" I peck his cheek not wanting to ruin my lipstick and rush out the door before he can say "I love you too"

I get in my car and start it. Then I drive off towards Starbucks. When I get there I am dissapointed to see how long the line is. Some guy tries to cut in front of my but I hit the gas and honk.

"Nice try asshole!" I scream out the window with a hint of road rage.

"Well someone really wants their Starbucks" I look up to see Eric walking towards his truck with two drinks in his hand.

"Oh um hey Eric." Oh god that was embarrassing.

His eyes light up with ammusement when he realizes how embaressed I am. "You might want to get out of this line. You have 5 minutes"

I look down at the clock on the dashboard and get so mad. I back up and drive away.

With the window down I can hear Eric's chuckling behind me.

"Hey! Cinder! Wait up!" I turn around to see my prince charming running towards me

"Eric, make it quick please" he approaches me with his drink and stops dead in his tracks when he sees me.

"Dang. You clean up nice" this makes me so happy

I look down in an attempt to be modest. "No, not really"

"You look hot" he says this as a matter of factly

I just smile and change the subject "What do you want Eric?"

He puts one hand behind his back and the hand with drink in front of him and then he bows. He actually holds up the drink and bows.

"My lady"

I smile and take the iced refresher from his hand. "You didn't"

"Oh I believe I did" he kisses my hand and runs away

People have stopped in the hallway and I give them all a look and walk away.

He is so sweet! I so happy when I walk into my first period I almost naturally tell Lucy. But then I don't.

"Lily! Come on! Please talk to me!"

"No!" I sternly scream to Chad who is also in this class with me. He went to my desk and stood there while I was lost in thought about Lucy.

"Lily! Please! It was one time! It won't happen again! Its not even a big deal!"

That's it. That last sentence ticked me off. Without thinking I stand up and face him.

"Not a big deal! Not a big deal. That's fucking hilarious. Chad! Its not a big deal when you cheat on someone! Tell that to my Dad! The father who can't love anyone again cause he feels betrayed. And me the one who is short a mother!" I scream all of this

"Oh please! Its not like loving again will be a big problem! You have Eric!? Don't you?! You're just a slut! A slut who moves on to the next guy! You're just like you're mom! A dirty whoe!-"

"Chad that's enough" I turn around to see Lucy standing up for me.

The words still sting. Everything is closing in on me. I can't be here right now. I just can't. My teacher walks in and I run out. I try to go outside but there's people there. I run into the bathroom and try to calm down my breathing. I just can't. I can't breathe. I'm suffocating.

"Lily!" Lucy swings open the stall and walks towards me.

"Why didn't you tell me!" I shout at her through sobs

"Because Lily! I couldn't!" The look of shame on her face tells it all.

"Who was it?!" Lucy begins to cry as I shout.

"I'm so sorry!" She answers

I stand up and slap her across the face so hard it leaves a mark. I go to walk away but she blocks me.

"Get out of my way! You bitch!" She still doesn't budge

She clings onto me and screams "Don't leave me! Don't leave me! Please! I need you most right now!"

I overpower and almost make it out of the bathroom when she shouts after me "Lily, please! I'm pregnant!"

Shocked I turn around and look at her. Seeing her eyes I feel even more betrayed. I run out of the bathroom and out to my car.

"We have to stop meeting like this." Eric calmly says as he's dropped off

I'm in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road.

"How did you find me?"

Eric takes a seat next to me and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"This is the same spot as last time" he answers with a small chuckle

Alright so I admit I wasn't suttel. But honestly I wanted him to find me.

"So um Lily" Eric sounds serious "About Lucy, while I heard it all. And I know that what she did was awful but she really needs you"

"Eric can't you see" I start to cry "I want to. I really do. It just hurts"

Eric puts his arm around me "Lily, you're really strong"

"Strong? I'm anything but that. Don't you see me crying?" I'm shocked by his accusation

Instead of answering me he pulls me in for a kiss. I think it will be long but it's short. He pulls away and stands up. He holds out his hand and I take it letting him pull me to my feet.

"Where are we?" I ask Eric as we pull into a small looking dinner.

"I'm hungry, and I thought you would be too." He answers turning off my car.

"Oh no, Eric I don't think this is a good idea. I just want to go home" I politely decline

"I wasn't asking. And besides you need something to get your mind off everything"

Before I can respond Eric jumps out of the car and opens the door for me. I take his hand and get out of the car.

Realizing what is happening I think of that night at the frozen yogurt shop. The night that all I could think about was how Chad was such a gentleman. I realized that I made conclusions about Eric. I thought that he couldn't compare to Chad. But the thing is, he's better. He has been there for me. No matter what. And I feel like one of those girls in the movies who falls in love with someone in a few days. I always think those movies are crazy. But they're not. I am realizing now that love isn't measured in time. Love can happen whenever it wants. And for me that's now. This moment.

"Eric?" I shout out to him, he continued to walk while I stood by the door.

He turns around and stares at me.

"I know this sounds crazy but I.... I think I'm love with you"

He walks over to me and I worry that he's going to leave. Or reject me.

But instead he puts his hand in mine and says "I know I'm in love with you"

I smile and we walk into the dinner hand in hand.
