Hardik was happy that he was back in restaurant without anyone noticing that he had disappeared from there.

So he started his work of spying (read noting) everyone's expression and that's when he saw Virat again cursing Rohit for not answering his call. He was trying to call again and again but Rohit was not answering , it even made Hardik wonder whether Rohit was intentionally avoiding Virat's call knowing he was angry or did he slept again.

He checked his phone , only to see there was  text from Rohit when he hung up call without listening to Rohit.

Rohit's message :

"Hey idiot ,
Next time listen what other person has to say before hanging up on them and ha this message is just to inform you I'll be busy so if you call me and I don't receive it, then drop me a message I'll call back when I'm free.
Cya and take care of my kiddo and yourself too."

He was grinning like idiot reading text , when he felt certain someone was glaring dagger at him. To which he just shrugged and showed his tongue to scowling Rahul.

Hardik attention was back to Virat when he heard virat saying " You stupid person can't you receive your phone on time or were you still sleeping Ro--"  he was cut off by receiver who said " Virat atleast give me time to respond "

Virat and rest all were caught off guard when they heard Ritika's voice as Virat's phone was on speaker.

"Rit..Ritsy , You?" Asked Virat dumbfounded.

" Ha Virat , it's me Ritika " Ritika confirmed.

" Where's Ro ? Is he sleeping or what ? Why wasn't he answering the call , I was calling since when " Virat fired question after questions to Ritika.

Sighing Ritika said " Virat breath , I'll answer your questions firstly he didn't answered his phone because his phone was in Sammy toys in living room  and I was in kitchen making breakfast when I heard it ringing so I had to search it ."

Ritika took pause and once again spoke saying " and as of RO , for once he isn't sleeping his princess has made it her agenda that till the time her dada is home she will stick to Ro only , even when she is napping , she wants Ro to cuddle her and if she wakes up and doesn't finds him besides her then she crys like anything and at the moment Ro is trying to bath Sammy. "

And at that exact moment Virat heard Ro yell saying " Sammy no , no splashing water Baba , We don't want mummy to be angry right"  and Sammy's giggles . And taking Virat's silence Ritika asked " why were you calling Ro  , did something happen that you called this many times."

Virat wanted to say something but couldn't voice it. So Jinks spoke " Aree no no Ritika it's just team was missing Ro , so we decided to call him but seeing he is busy with Sammy we will call him later "

Ritika didn't buy it so she again said " are you sure Ajju , I can take phone to Ro in bathroom"

" No No  Ritika , it's fine , just tell him we called and I'll drop him message later." Said jinks.

" Sure Ajju I'll pass on your message to Ro and ha tell radhika I'll call her in evening." And they said their byes before call was ended.

Virat was looking at jinks in questioning manner so sighing Jinks said " see Ro is home for 2 days only before he will have to return to NCA and then he will be here (Australia)  , I didn't wanted to take away the little time Sammy got with her dada. It might take toll on her ,that for past 9 months she had Ro with her , even during IPL they were together and now suddenly he is gone for weeks so her wanting to spend time with Ro is normal."

Everyone sighed knowing Jinks was right and Virat had to accept that his bestfriend like always was again right so he just accepted it with sad sigh. Jinks saw Virat sad and said " I'll drop him message , you don't worry and now let's leave for practice already it's getting late."

Virat Pov :

I know Jinks is right , that Sammy deserve her dada's time but what about me his bestfriend , he hasn't spoken to me properly since I don't even remember when , yes he do talk over group video call or drops messages in group but even I want his alone time. M I wrong in wanting his alone time just for me.

Did I seriously hurt him that much , when I was targeting management in that media conference. I guess yes , because he didn't even thought to inform me personally about uncles health when half of MI camp knew about this , I'm such a bad friend I was not there with him when he needed support. Virat's mind was running in all directions thinking every negative thing about his friendship when suddenly He felt someone's hand on his shoulder squeezing it and when he turn he saw Jinks giving him a knowing look saying " Vi no you aren't bad friend and  no your friendship is not broken , it's just going through rough patch yess but I know it will be back to normal soon."

Third person pov :

" But Jinks I don't even know why he is so distant from me suddenly " said Virat in desperate tone , which even made Jinks sad for his  bestfriend. He knew his Ro enough to know that he won't do anything without reason and to keep distance from virat for this long means he might have some valid reason or else Ro would never stay away from his Vi , it was killing Jinks to see his bestfriends apart.

Still calming himself Jinks said " I don't know Virat but I'll find it out soon that's my promise but one thing I'm  sure that I won't get anything till Ro doesn't comes here. We have to wait till he gets here."

Virat sighed listening Jinks determine tone but he spoke again saying the thing which was nagging him " Jinks I feel Ro intentionally was avoiding my calls today"

" How...how can you say such a thing Virat " asked Jinks not believing what he was listening from his bestfriend.

" Means see na I called him around 5-6 time and later when call was received also it was Ritsy and  what a coincidence that we heard Ro yelling from bathroom--" Virat was saying when Jinks cut him off saying " Virat are you gone crazy , Ritika did offer to take phone in bathroom remember ."

" But that's what I felt so I said to you " whined virat childishly.

" Wait I'll proof you wrong " said Jinks determine and left virat alone to only return with Jassi .

Virat gave Jinks confused look , so Jinks said " Jassi here will proof you wrong that Ro was genuinely busy with Sammy and not like you think he was pretending." Jassi just gave offended look to Virat and said " my Bhaiya don't pretend , if he don't want to talk he don't receive call or just disconnect it "

Smiling slightly Jinks said " weren't you angry on your bhaiya just few minutes ago that he hide something from you and now you are only defending him here."

Pouting Jassi said " he is my Bhaiya he don't do anything without reason and ya I'm calling him now " saying so he called and call was not received once so he tried again and when it was received he put it on speaker and said " Bhaiya I'm angry on you "

But they heard chuckling from other end and receiver said " Jass it's not your bhaiya , it's me Ritika."

Jassi gave Virat look and said " ooh , hello bhabs where is bhaiya "

" Your bhaiya is in bathroom , trying to get sammy out of her bathtub and how did you called this early today " asked Ritika.

" Huh , meaning " asked confused Jassi.

" Aree kiddo don't you call your bhaiya after your practice meaning Indian time around 9. That is the reason Ro took Sammy for bath before breakfast so he can talk to you when you call on your usual time ." Explained Ritika.

Jassi was silent so Ritika spoke again " vese kiddo may I ask why you are angry with Ro ?"

Jassi sighed and looked beside to see Jinks and Virat still looking at him but Jinks gave him reassuring nod. So he said " Bhabhi bhaiya hide that deal with selectors and what they made him do."

Jassi heard Ritika sighing before she spoke " kiddo listen I know Ro had promised you that he wont hide anything from you but still he is your elder brother right , he thought if he tells you about selectors then you will worry more because he knew how worried you were already when he told you about him not traveling with you to Australia and coming back here to complete his rehab in NCA. He wanted you to go there and play without any worry or distraction in your performance. He wanted his kiddo to be less worried which I know is quite impossible as you will always be worried when it concerns Ro, but he just thought hiding will be good till he cleared his fitness test and joins you guys in Australia then he himself was gonna tell you face to face , so kiddo I can just say that you both are right at your places , he didn't wanted to worry you more than you are for him and I can understand how you felt when you came to know your bhaiya even after promising hide something from you. So stay angry all you want but talk to him once , that's all I can say "

" Okay Bhabhi I'll talk to him at night as usual , now I'll go for practice bye take care." Saying this Jassi disconnected call.

And turned to find Jinks, Virat and rest everyone checking their phones so he too checked his phone only to see BCCI has realised same news 'why Rohit had returned to India.'

In India (around evening) :

Rohit had just gotten out of Sammy's room when Ritika poped besides him , handing him his phone and telling about missed calls and Ajju's message.

" You can call them back till then I'll stay besides Sammy so even if she wakes up she won't fuss much " said Ritika.

" Okay , I'll call them , and thanks for talking to Jassi and making him understand  , so that's means half of my  work is done and rest will be done by ice cream treat." Said Rohit winking at Ritika.

Shaking her head she said " you are just impossible , Now go call them"

Rohit had just reached his room when his phone started ringing and after checking  caller ID he had small smile on face and he answered saying " Hey Ajju , I was just about to call You and you beat me to it "

Jinks laughed bit saying " I thought it's might be Sammy's nap time so I could talk to you so I just called "

" Ha Sammy is napping , Ritsy is with her now , so what you wanted to talk " He asked pretending like Hardik haven't told him about anything.

Sighing Jinks just said " We know Ro about both uncle and your deal with management"

" Oooh " was just Rohit could say.

" Yess and even if we did ignore that news article but it was hard to miss about uncle's health issue since even BCCI released news article which they should have done already long back" said Jinks.

" So what do You want me to do accept that I hide both the news or give clarification about them " asked Ro in bit cold voice.

" Why do I feel like you don't want to explain yourself " asked Jinks

" That's because I don't want to , but still I'll because I know you guys want explanation" Sighing Rohit further added " I tried telling You " with small voice.

" What do you means Ro , you tried telling me , when " asked Jinks dumbfounded.

" Don't you remember I was calling you after first qualifier " said Rohit

" No , I didn't got any missed call notification" said Jinks bit too hurriedly.

Rohit chuckled and said " and you guys call me Mr. Forgetful , but you guys aren't any less . And you didn't receive any notification because your phone was constantly busy for hour and even I called Rishu asking him to check on you , I was on call when he came to you , you were busy on call with virat and then you had some management meeting which virat was setting up so you were waiting to get connected. That's why you didn't even question  why Rishu had suddenly came to you asking about your phone being busy for hour ."

As if remember something Jinks said "Shit" under his breath but Ro heard it and said " that's fine Ajju what's done is done and about management they made me sign non disclosure agreement till I pass my fitness test and vese bhi bata ke bhi kya hota , at end of day we have to anyway listen to them , right "

And before Ajju can say anything he heard loud cry of Sammy and Ro asking " what happened to my baccha , why are you crying "

" Sorry Ro , I tried calming her down but she won't quit down so I had to bring her to you" said Ritsy in remorseful voice .

" That's fine Ritsy , come Baba come to dada " said Ro taking Sammy. And holding phone in one hand he said " Sorry Ajju , Sammy is up , I'll talk to you later and take care of everyone there " saying so they bidded bye.
