Rohit had landed in Australia on the day of the first test match and as per rules he had to complete a 14 days Quarantine. First 2 days were difficult for him to adjust alone but he got the hang of his routine.

But today he woke up later than his usual schedule as he was awake till late night as Sammy was being fussy so he stayed on video call with Ritika till Sammy slept. But in his dreams he wouldn't have thought that when he woke up , his phone would be flooded by "36 all out" tweets and news notifications.

He was not able to digest how such a thing happened when the team was doing so well still yesterday. So feeling uncertain he switched on TV and checked the sports channel where they were showing wicket highlights , he couldn't believe what he was seeing and it was very difficult for him to see all his friends' fallen and bowed down faces so he just switched off TV and sat there staring at a blank screen.

His mind was running in all directions , he believed his team would bounce back but he was uncertain how this was gonna affect everyone's mental health. He was still trying to wrap his mind around the situation "Ho...how can this happen when everything was going so well, Team was going so well how can something like this happen out of nowhere. Ooh god how brutal this fans will troll team.... team what must they be going through..I'm fully aware of that but I can't let them go through this alone...even if I can't be there physically... I can't just sit here without doing anything. I should call Jass and check on him.

Rohit tried calling Jassi but the Call was not received twice increasing Rohit's already increased worries but he still tried calling 3rd time and this time call was picked after 2-3 rings.

Listening to Jass voice at other end, Rohit took breath of relief and spoke to his kiddo for a while until he told Jassi to call Rah, Rish , Mayu and rest of younger lot knowing they must also be feeling sad..

When Jassi was calling others, Rohit took this moment to add Mahi bhai on call and to his luck Mahi received the call instantly as if he was waiting for someone to call.

Now, everyone has gathered in Jassi’s room, no one was saying anything , they were very upset and none was willing to have or initiate any conversation, after a brief silence which lasted five minutes but felt like eternity, Ro looked towards Mahi Bhai asking him to start

Mahi: Bacha, I know no one expected this to happen but I know my boys will bounce back. You are much stronger than this  and you know that our team is unbeatable , a win or loss doesn't dignify us , you guys tried to give your best but it was just not our day. So, don’t let yourself suffer thinking that you could have changed it. Woh kehte h na Failure is the pillar of success, So , what happened today was necessary for what is going to happen in future , Jassi , Washy , Shar, next matches me aisi bowling karna ki , they can’t score much runs and come in pressure and you take their wickets.

Rohit : Bhai is right . Mayu , Rah , Rish , my boys, instead of bowing down your  heads , chin up and face the world , examine where we went wrong and work on that area so we can bounce back and show this Aussies what tough mantle we are made up of.

Mahi : Exactly bacha go and show them , jab koi team India se takrata hai toh hum uska kya haal karte , itni easily nahi chodte h, hum un logo ko

Just then the doorbell of Jassi’s room ringed and he wandered ‘ aab kon aaya’
on the door , it was room service and that is when Ro said “ I know tum log me se kisi ne bhi dinner nahi kiya hai, so finish it fast, itihas gawa h bhuke pet koi jung nahi ladhi jati, aab chalo hum Australia pe fateh pani h”

"Rohit bhaiya did you Just speak in shudh hindi ?" Asked a very stunned Mayu.

Rohit just grinned at him and when he saw everyone staring he said " common now guys I can speak proper hindi kbhi kbhi ". Making everyone laugh.

Time skip :

After sometime Rohit tried calling Jinks but when Jinks didn't answer any calls, worried Rohit called Ash.

Not even greeting him properly he asked " Ash where is Ajju "

Confused and alert as why worried Rohit called him asking Jinks " umm....Ro I don't know exactly but I think he didn't left his room after coming from ground, but why are you sounding so worried ...did anything happened?" Said Ash uncertainty.

Listening to this ,Jaddu and Pujji who were with Ash at that moment were now very attentive to call and told Ash to put his phone on speaker.

" Actually I was trying to call Ajju for the past 30 mins, still he didn't answer his phone so I got worried with what happened this morning and then even if Virat is going back I don't want him to feel pressure either so I called to check." Explained Rohit.

Sensing from where Rohit's worry is coming from pujji said " wait Ro, I'll go check on Jinks "

"Umm... Pujji ? " Questioned Rohit as he didn't even know he was in room.

" Yes Ro, even jaddu is here " Ash answered for Pujji , who had already left the room.

Same time outside Jinks room:

Jinks was coming out of his room, when he dashed into Pujji who had come rushing toward him. And asked " Jinks you are okay right ?"

" Yeah but why are you asking me this suddenly " asked a confused Jinks.

" Then why weren't you answering Ro's call? " Pujji cross questioned.

Now Fully confused Jinks  asked '' what Ro ka calls ? I didn't get any calls " saying that he checked his phone only to find it was on silent mode.

Smiling sheepishly he said "actually it was on silent,but how did you know he was calling me"

"That's because he called Ash , asking about you as he saw all the news and was worried about everyone but especially you " said pujji.

Virat who was passing by there only heard last part of what Pujji said and thought " He is only worried about Jinks and didn't even once thought to call or text me to check on me , he knows very well how people are targeting me because of my paternity leave but still didn't message once asking whether 'I'm okay or not '...does this mean  that he stopped worrying about me or does he also thinks that I'm abandoning team like most other people....or might be I don't matter to him now that much so he didn't even care to call or message me once before I leave , Right this must be the only reason he didn't even thought about me much and only cared to check on Jinks and rest so he has already decided I'm not his best friend anymore...why will he want me when he has his Ajju right." Thinking this he leaves from there sad more than before and decides he will leave for india early in morning without informing the team.

Meanwhile here in Ash's room  Ro was still on call which was now video call with Ash and Jaddu discussing some plan which was later joined by Jinks and pujji.

Before they disconnected the call Ro just looked at Jinks and said " I believe you , you can handle the team in Virat's absence and guys until I come there I want you to support Jinks in anything he needs and be there for him...And yes please see he don't skip meals and if he does then I give you guys full right to force feed him. Vese chalo guys go have your dinner, kids are waiting in Restaurant downstairs and don't worry I have spoken to them and even mahi Bhai did and even we made sure they had dinner during the call . So now you all go have dinner and make sure Virat also eats before sleeping and guys inform kids about the plan and starts preparing , Bye see you soon" saying that he disconnected the call.

Next Day :
Virat was leaving early in the morning as decided without informing the team but he did inform the Coach as he didn't want everyone to panic and start searching for him everywhere.

Shastri had messaged him saying " By going without informing the team , you are really abandoning them. It's not fair on them ,they deserve to know so I suggest you should inform them and bid proper bye to them."

So understanding coach he left a message in Team group saying" he is leaving early for india so he can quarantine and be with anushka sooner" knowing no one will be awake this early to revert or question him.

Thinking this he took flight for India and went through 2 days self quarantine just for precautions.

After 2 days :

When he reached his home on the third day he saw Anushka analysing some big boxes. So he asked " Nushkie why are you checking out this big box what did you ordered now."

" Aaahhh virat tum aagaye " saying this , she hugged him.

And after minute of hugging she said " Maine kuch nhi mangaya it's parcel came from Australia and Mumbai "

Confused he asked "what do you mean Australia- Mumbai "

" Aree this Box has both an Australia stamp and Mumbai's stamp" said Anushka.

" Wait let me Check you stay away from it , pata chala it's something risky then" said Virat.

When virat checked that box indeed it had two traveling stamps and his name on the card.

So he decided to open the parcel box only to gasp seeing the content.

There were many baby girl dresses , toys , stuffed animals and many baby care products with sacks of letters. But one that Virat reached for was two joined by Teddie. one was wearing chachu's princess tshirt and the other one was wearing a dad's angel t-shirt. And there was small letter attached to teddies saying
" Princess come soon... Your Chachu/mamu is waiting to meet you. See you soon Nush and take care of yourself and my niece too and Virat you will find this same in every Letter but still I will write , that you have went back home to be there for Nush then please  don't think about team...just take care of Nushkie and baby and enjoy every moment of parenthood. Be there with Nushkie with a happy mind , enjoy that moment when you will hold your little angel for the first time... because trust me those moments won't come back again. You have the opportunity to cherish those first moments when your baby girl will open her eyes and see the world so live those moments to fullest and once again I'm saying it. Don't think much about the team, we'll handle it all here. Just take care of Anushka....Virat both me and Mahi bhai have missed our chance to be the first one to hold our daughters. We missed  being there for our partners in the last few days when they needed us more than ever but you have that chance so don't let it waste. This moments are gonna be very special. And trust me when I say this, to be able to hold our princess for the first time hit a very different spot, that happiness is something different which you won't even feel after scoring a century. So all I want is you to enjoy your paternity time with baby and Anushka."

Just as Virat finished reading the letter , he heard Jinks' voice , followed by his whole team , only then did he notice that his whole team was on vc and Nush was holding the phone capturing those precious moments.

A few minutes ago,
When Virat was opening the boxes , his phone started ringing , and as Nush was standing near the table where the phone was kept, she answered it and heard Ajju’s voice asking “ vi ko gift mila”

Bhuvi: Anu please Vi ko dikhao na.

And so Anushka turned the back camera on and the whole team watched him.

back to present,

Virat after seeing everyone on screen he was speechless for the moment but still noticed that Ro was missing from the call.

So he asked " Ro didn't join you guys". He felt bit disappointed when Ro was not there after just reading the Letter.

"Actually Ro was supposed to join but he got a call from Ritsy saying Sammy was being cranky due to viral fever and needed her dada. so currently he is on call with Sammy and Ritsy" said Jinks. Even though Virat was satisfied with the answer still he felt some tug at his heart knowing Ro keeps Jinks updated about all things no matter how small or big they are.

And before Virat could think much about it and sulk anymore he was brought out if his thoughts by jaddu asking " Vi did you like our surprise or not.."

Smiling Virat replied " yes Jad...I loved your surprise so much and thanks guys for all those heartfelt letters and all gifts...vese guys sab gifts baby ko and baby ki mumma ko hi...baby ke papa ka kyaa ha "

He was looking at everyone with raised eyebrows. When Jassi said "bhai sab se niche aapka gift hai check karo properly"

" Jass...we hide his gift in the bottom for a reason you know " Jaddu said shaking his head.

" Jaddu shutup , No one was part of your stupid plan to irritate Virat from start itself so now don't glare at Jassi " said Ash.

Meanwhile, Virat was digging in a box for his gift and soon enough found one gift wrapped box.
And started tearing gift wrap just like a child on Christmas.

A gasp left virat's mouth after seeing the content in the box. Taking it out, he showed the  picture frame of the team saying 'One for all, all for one' and there was one more picture of dads of ICT with Virat's picture at the side saying 'welcome to the club of sleepless nights'  to
Anushka.
