Pain is like water
It pushes through every seal,
There's no way to stop it
You just have to feel.

Let it sink you to the bottom
Overwhelm you with its depth,
Cover all your senses
With all that you have left.

Only then, can you swim to the surface
And begin to heal,
Forgive ourselves for the mistakes
And the errors concealed.

Pain leaves no footprints,
But it leaves blisters deep,
Unbeknownst it paves a way,
And guides us to our dreams.

Pain is a sudden hurt,
One that can't be escaped,
Some shards to the heart
Aren't easily portrayed.

Pain shatters completely
Unraveling us to the core,
But the wounds are where light enters us
Crushed as we may possibly be--or even more.

A single ray of hope is enough
To transcend from darkness into light,
Faith is the miracle
That teaches us to fight,
For all that we believe in
We always have a choice.

My aims are what I desire
I have the power to fulfill
Nothing can pull me down
Or bring them to a standstill.
