A deep sense of despair is out there 

Infiltrating the minds full of positivity and laying bare, 

The feebleness of the will 

Strange as it may though seem, 

The elderly are much prone

To the attacks and the toll, 

It takes on the heart and soul

Draining the hold onto hope, 

Snatching away whatever is left

Of faith, solidarity and perseverance.


Not everything is gone, you see

Mankind hasn't lost hope in humanity,

Despair might be strong and creepy

Like the vicissitudes of life

It will leave indeed. 


Faith will pave the way

For courage to live another day, 

Another chance to make it count

A new opportunity to turn your life around,

Where there is hope, there is belief.
