I woke up to the blaring sound of the siren from a distance.

The surprise from the sound was nothing compared to the realization that Althea was sleeping soundly beside me.

She was lying on her stomach with her face turned to me and she looked so peaceful.

I swept a strand of stray hair away from her face and stared.

The last time someone was sleeping beside me was ages ago and that was with David.

I think it was during the last day of final exams during our sophomore year in college and we decided to hang out with friends, his friends, and we got so drunk that we ended up in his place.

Nothing happened though.

Nakadapa lang at nakapikit.

Ako lang talaga ang gumawa ng mga poses ranging from smiling to serious to wacky.

There was one that I liked among all the pictures I took.

It was of me kissing the tip of her nose as she lay on her tummy clutching her pillow.

I saved it in my e-mail for keepsake.

Yung mga blurry ang kuha, I deleted.

Althea moaned and I put the phone on the night table.

She slowly opened her eyes and said good morning when she saw me smiling at her.

"Gising ka na pala," sabi nito sabay kinusot ang mata niya.

"Good morning lablab," bati ko sa kanya at napangiti ito.

"So it's official na?" tanong ni Althea.

"I guess so," sagot ko.

"Halika nga," she pulled me closer to her and laid her head on the crook of my neck.

"Nagugutom ka na ba?" malambing na tanong nito at iling lang ang sinagot ko.

"Anong gusto mong gawin?" hinalikan niya ang balikat ko at hindi ko napigilang

tumawa.

"Hala, nakiliti!" nagulat si Althea.

"Ikaw ha? Kung anu-ano ang nadidiscover mo sa akin," lumayo ako ng konti sa kanya at tinakpan ang katawan ko ng kumot.

Pero nasa mood makipaglambingan si Althea at para kaming bata na nagkilitian.

"Tama na nga," tumigil na ako kasi sumasakit na ang tagiliran ko sa katatawa.

Sumunod naman si Althea at tinitigan ako.

Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko ng lumapit siya sa akin at hinalikan ako sa noo, then sa ilong, sa pisngi hanggang sa bumaba ito sa aking labi.

But unlike the kiss we shared sa music room, this one started out tender.

Walang urgency  but still filled with love and desire.

I responded to her kisses with the same, or even more, passion I had for anyone.

Althea's hand moved underneath my shirt and the sensation made me moan.

I closed my eyes and surrendered to what she wanted to do to me.

Althea leaned in and kissed my collarbone as her hands stroked my arms.

I quivered as the sensations overwhelmed my mind.

My brain went on overdrive with the impulses I felt and I let go of my need to make sense of everything.

I am with Althea, the woman I love and surrendered myself to.

If what we were doing was wrong, then I don't ever want to be right.

She looked at me and her brown eyes assured me that things are going to be okay.

As her hand went down my thighs and slightly pulled down the pajama I was wearing, I told myself to trust her.

She kissed me hard on the mouth as her fingers moved closer to where it intended to go.

My nails dug deep on her shoulders as she stroked me and my mind spun wildly from the sensation.

There was a softness in Althea's face and it was reassuring.

I closed my eyes and saw bright sparks of light surrounding me.

My breath hitched as Althea expertly caressed my body.

What she was doing blew my mind away.

I felt myself quickly responding to the release and when I did, I cried her name loudly as a single tear rolled down my cheeks.

Althea slowly removed her hand and I held on to her for as long as I could.

No one said a word.

There wasn't anything to describe the beautiful moment of surrender.
