The sky was filled with dark black gas - smoke. The fighter planes hovered around the sky as flies and dropped the missiles from their deck as they were candies.
'Boom!' 'bang!' were coming from all around turning the vision into oranges flames the very next second. The smoke all around will make you beg to take away your breath. The condition, the situation, the scene will make you plead for your death.

As soon as I got to know about the attack, I ran towards her room. I breathed in relief, when I saw her safe and sound. But I know this relief can't stay for long. I kissed on her forehead and picked her up.
"What's happening? "

"Nothing my girl."was all I could say before sprinting to the control panel.

The control panel is in my sight but wait, I could hear footsteps approaching. I quickly hid behind the pillar and tilt my head to see two men in army uniform holding SAW guns in their hands.

"Do you think anyone is alive in this zone?"

" Nah! Those assholes can't survive this."

"But still we have to check."

"Huh? Can't we just give them false reports?"

"I think you're right. Hope that others are doing their work well."

They exchanged their evil smirks and left. I cooed down my girl and placed her down as soon as I got reassured of their leave. I held her hand and went to the control room. I knocked thrice and then banged it. The door flew open by my single kick and allowed the entrance. As soon as I entered, I was welcomed by the sight of a trembling feminine figure holding a torch in her hands. Haze left my hands and ran to her and hugged her tightly.

"Momma you okay, na?"

"Yes my baby."

"Mr. Peanuts!" Haze yelled and ran to grab her toy.

She turned to me and asked,"Michael do you know what's happening? "

"Hmm. It's the same anonymous force which had captured the entire Asia, Africa and Europe. We have to get out of here and contact the Military Camp. C'mon!" I don't know who's behind this but I know what he wants - captured and ruined world.

I turned to see my baby girl running into my lap. I took her up and then turned to see my wife Elina. She was smiling inspite of fear in her green eyes and then everything went in slow motion.

She smiled and then window flickered. Smoke was coming from outside. Then, alongwith with smoke, a missile came from nowhere and hit the wall. My eyes went wide and I hid Haze's face inside my coat. My vision turned into orange flames and then the flames swallowed Elina. The missile had blasted and her that smile became the last one.

I felt broken, my heart shattered into pieces. She....she's gone. The place where she was standing a moment ago, has now turned into ashes. This war, this stupid war, this stupid man, dunno who the hell is he, dunno what he wants - took my heart from me. My limbs are numb. I can't feel anything. My knees felt weak to support an old man's weight.

I leaned against the wall, praying for my death till the warm droplets kissed my skin. Haze. She is crying. What will I say? Where's her Momma?

"Dadda, Where's momma?"

"Haze! Calm down. She's fine just angels called her early and she had to go. That's it." I held my tears and started running towards the entrance. I can't afford to show Haze that I am weak. I can't say her that I can't protect her. No! I will protect her, no matter what happens.

I started running towards the entrance pushing the dead bodies of people who were once my colleagues. I worked in Indian military as an aeronautical engineer. I had everything- money, reputation, position; everything one wants. But now, I am helpless father.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by something which entered my flesh. I looked at my leg and saw blood oozing out.

"Hey! You! Stop running else I will shoot you."

I stared at the creature in horror. He had a big gun pointing towards my chest. I pushed HAZE behind me and stared at him in hatred. I saw him trailing his fingers near the trigger before

Boom!

I saw the red liquid oozing out from flesh and hands losing their grip on the gun. I saw his body falling on the ground. Then a girl holding a gun in her hand came into sight.

She ran towards me and stared me, as if examining me.

"You okay?"

"Who. Are. You?"

She smiled and replied," I am going to narrate this only once so pay attention."

She told me that the FORCE had came from future led by one of my colleagues who had stole my time machine when I finally created it. He wanted to be the dictator of the whole world, so he sent his troops back in time so that our technology and weapons would be much weaker in front of them and we will easily lose. She had managed to come through the time portal to the day when they attacked me.

She wants me to destroy the blueprints, so that the time machine never existed.

I am a bit happy that my blueprint is perfect and I could create a real time machine but I am sad that humans are not ready for this boon. Hope that they will learn soon.

I took out the lighter from my jacket's pocket and blueprints from her hand. I smiled at her realising that I must not trust stranger but there's something that's compelling me to.

As soon as the blueprints started burning, everything starts getting fader. The soldier, the missiles, the destruction and the girl.

I stared her when she murmured,

"Good bye Dad! See you soon."
