Side Note: I'll be having Roy and Will as twins in this story. I know Will is a clone over Roy but I'll just have them as twins for this storyline.

"Robin?" Bruce repeated, his eyes fully blown wide as he looked towards his son who glanced away a little guilty and unsure how to handle the current situation.

"I knew better than to give my true name to a complete stranger. So, we used code names instead" Dick awkwardly replied with as he placed Damian back down, seeing no need to carry his brother anymore now they knew the camp was mostly safe and filled with friends.

"Code names?" Tim asked a little surprised. It was the end of the world, not many could do much with names anymore.

"Yeah. We ended up getting trapped together for a couple days and it was difficult living with someone who you don't even know their name. I wasn't going to give mine and used a code name, he did the same" Dick mumbled back as he scratched at the back of his head, purposely not looking at any of his family members as he knew they'd read into it more than needed.

"Wally! For god's shake, stop running off like a headless chicken or I'm gonna actually fry you up one day" Will screamed out as he finally caught up to his friend, bending over and resting his hands on his knees as desperately caught his breath. He forgot just how fast his friend can be sometimes.

"Hang on, Wallace was your actually name? Not something you made up" Dick asked in surprise, his eyes growing wide as he stared at a very red face Wally who clearly got caught on his little lie.

"Wallace West but my everyone calls me wally. I knew you wouldn't believe me even if I said it was my real name" Wally replied with a sad smile, rubbing at his arm a little as he waited for him to make fun of his name or yell at him for lying to him.

But it never came, surprising Wally even more as everyone he's ever met has always found something to say over his lame name. To tease him or just to bully him with it. But Dick gave a kind smile, a knowing look filling his eyes and he seemed to suddenly rather like the name Wallace just that tiny bit more.

"You let him call you as .. Wallace?" Will yelped out, wide eye and grabbing at his friend shoulder's, shaking him in disbelief.

"Maybe.." Wally whispered quietly as he knew his friend would clearly catch on and read a lot more into it than he wanted him to do.

"Who are you and how did you get permission for his full name. He's never allowed that before and I've know the idiot since high school. Wait .. hey! Office Grayson, long time no see" Will started to ask in an accusing tone, clearly thinking this guy was a witch or something before suddenly smiling and greeting the officer like an old friend.

"Will, how have you been?" Dick replied with a pleasant smile, seeming rather happy to see him again.

"Not bad. Surviving. You know how it is" Will smirked back with a small shrug as he crossed his arms over chest stomach.

"More than I'd like by this point" Dick grimaced back.

"You know each other?" Bruce asked, his voice stoic again as always and he held concern over Will capping his son as "officer" instead of by name.

"You were a cop!" Wally yelled out stunned, his lips parted as he stared at his new friend.

"Will was my first arrest" Dick admitted with a fond smile, remembering the arrest as if it was just yesterday.

"You've been arrest?" Clark asked rather worried.

"Move out the people, my red head soulmate has finally arrived" Jason spoke up as he shoved his younger two brother's out of his way to move next to his older brother and get a better look over Will. Nodding in approval and knowing he'd be questioning Dick later for more details on the arrested fellow.

"Why were you arrested? And why didn't you tell me the cop was so handsome. I would have bailed you out or at least came and got arrested with you" Wally asked as he turned back to his friend, never hearing about this before and wondering when it happened.

"Remember when I broke up with Jade?" Will asked as he looked to his friend, old and painful memories flashing inside his mind.

"Yeah, it was pretty tough. Everyone had assumed you guys were gonna stay together even with your love-hate relationship. You guys had always ended up getting back together after all your little fights. None of us believed you two had actually broke it off until a couple days later" Wally innocently mumbled back as he thought over the ex girlfriend to his best friend and knowing the two shared a rather toxic relationship for a good couple years. The pair might have fought a lot but they were always glued together and it made everyone assume they'd last forever.

"I went to Gotham for a weekend to get away. Ended up getting drunk and in a bar fight. The fight got out of hand and the cops were called. Dick was the one to read me my rights and cuff me. I was still a little drunk and I think I tried flirting with him a few times before he got me some water to sober up in the holding cell. He stayed talking with me and I sobbed my heart out to him over Jade. He was a rather good listening and helped me realized that the love I held for Jade wasn't the love I wanted in my life. We were toxic for each other and realizing that it helped me move on" Will explained his whole arrest story as if it wasn't an overly big idea and gave some smiles towards Dick as he really helped him out that night.

"I'd like to correct him over the flirting part, he did not flirt with me directly. He talked to my arse not my face. He kept trying to touch it and sweet talk it even while in the holding cell. He got rather upset when I hid up any view to it while he was around. He truly was drunk out of his mind" Dick worriedly spoke up as he wanted to clear the air before anyone got the wrong idea from Will version of "flirting" with him.

"Were you done for anything?" Jason asked rather engrossed with the whole arrested story and turning completely smitten towards Will now.

"The bar pressed no charges and he wasn't done for assult by anyone either. He was free to go but I wanted to help sober him up a little and kept him in holding for an extra two hours until he was safe to leave by himself" Dick answered with ease as he felt like Will was his first arrest but also the first person he had saved while wearing his badge.

"I call dibs on the second red head" Jason called out without any shame or dignity.

"Have him" Tim lazily replied as he stood with Cass, the two siblings mostly tuning out their siblings and new friends for the most part.

"Keep them both. I don't want either one going near Grayson again" Damian huffed back as he stood with his hands on his hips, looking rather intimidating for someone his age.

"Did you have a uniform? And the cuffs to go with the look?" Wally casually asked, ignoring Dick's brother's right now and trying to picture the oldest brother in a police uniform. His cheeks darkening in colour as a blush overcame them soon after.

"I won't go for him now since I know you've gotten yourself hooked on him but.. you really did miss out on a god given sight over him in uniform. It was the greatest gift I've ever laid my eyes on" Will muttered out as he helped give him friend a better mental image over the whole thing.

"Please stop talking about this. My siblings and B are right there. I'm feeling very uncomfortable right now" Dick weakly replied as his face turned bright red and he shuffled on the spot, wishing to be anywhere else right now.

"Sorry" Wally apologized, looking like an actually guilty puppy.

"I'm not. You were smoking" Will snorted back without any regret.

"Why don't we find you and your siblings some rooms close together. You can all wonder about once we've gotten you settled in and unpacked" Clark quickly spoke up with a forced smile as he noticed Bruce seemed ready to murder the two red heads.

"I'll leave the boys in your hands and go inform the rest of the group over our new find" Diana smiled as she glanced over the whole Wayne and quickly made her escape as she knew she had some juicy gossip to pass on.

"Come on, we'll try to find a couple cells close together and near where Bruce is placed. I hope you'll all be okay buddying up. Each cell had a single set of bunk beds, everyone has buddied up here" Clark smiled as he started to lead them all away, ready to find them all their own bed and cell to call home for as long as they stay with the camp.

"But we're a family of five now" Tim spoke up with worry as he didn't want to be separated from his brothers and two cells that would only hold four of them were still not enough beds for them all.

"Is anyone rooming with the old man?" Jason asked with a displeased look, clearly regretting his question as soon as he asked it.

"No one is brave enough to share a cell with Bruce. He's .. scared off anyone given the option to bunk with him" Clark weakly admits as he glanced towards the man being spoken over after feeling his glare on him.

"Meaning one of us will end up sharing with him" Dick warned as he looked to his siblings who all froze at the news, a silent conversation being spoken between them and arguing over the whole thing.

"So who doesn't get a buddy time we reach the cells with be trapped with father" Damian finally says what they were all already thinking over out loud. The person who was last left would be shoved with their father, no room for argument.

"We're about to start a very nasty game of not it and I got here first. Whoever is left without a bed will be trapped with him" Jason smirked back as he cracked his knuckles, ready to throw his brothers back and leap onto a bed as soon as possible just so he can escape being cell buddies with his dad.

"But what about Cass? She's our only sister. She shouldn't be forced to share with boys or Dad" Tim pointed out with a small frown as he glanced towards their newest sister who had just stood, watching them all over the past couple minutes.

"But she won't do well on being stuck with a stranger or alone" Dick frowned, running a hand through his sister hair soothingly and silently reassuring her that she wouldn't be forced on a stranger.

"We have larger cells that hold up to three people. We've opened one of the sections with them recently. I can place you and your siblings close together in that section but you won't be near close to me. It may be for the best. You're all newcomers and some might find it unfair if you're found placed in the first opened section of the camp" Bruce replied as he stepped forward and looked over his handful of children, Wally and Will both left forgotten on the side lines and standing rather amused over the Wayne family.

"Prison" Jason corrected.

"We call this place as our camp. It helps ease the other's we've recused and helped to protect inside. Not everyone is comfortable remembering this was a prison but what made it a prison has helped to keep us all safe. We've only opened up two sections up. Those that are a mixture of two person cells and three person cells are newly given out now as we've gained more numbers in our camp. Since you're all such a large family, splitting you into those two cells might be best" Clark mumbled back with a friendly smile as he knew their camp was a prison but it helped everyone's mood to call it as a camp instead of what it was.

"We can't all share in a three room cell, idiot" Damian scoffed back as he rolled his eyes before gaining a glare from both his father and his eldest brother. Tim and Jason chucking in the background.

"No but they'd have a two person size cell near the three person size cells. We can all still be close together. Sounds like our best bet" Dick told his youngest brother as he pulled his back by his shoulder's before he gained the chance to try and kill his other brothers.

"Let's just take a look at the cells and than we can decide on all your sleeping placements" Bruce sighed as he nodded for Clark to start leading them all inside again.

Clark took the hint and smiled at them all before he started walking again, waving for them to follow and the group soon did. Bruce walking at the back with Dick, the rest of his sons and Cass walking in front of them but keeping a few steps behind him. Damian looking around as if everything was a trap while Cass kept looking over her shoulder, making sure Dick was still behind them.

"R-Robin" Wally hurriedly called out as he started to chase after them, a confused Will following after his friend and trying to figure out if he had a death wish or something.

"Yeah, Wally?" Dick asked curiously, coming to a full stop and turning sideways to stare at the young man.

"Come find me later, yeah?" Wally shyly asked, rubbing at his wrist and staring more at Dick shoes than at him.

"Sure" Dick smiled back softly, his cheeks heating up ever so slightly.

"Cool" Wally grinned back, bouncing on the spot and seeming as if he won the world cup.

"Come on, the other's are probably wondering over what made you run off like you did" Will laughed out, grabbing his friend arm and pulling him away to leave the family be.

Bruce rolled his eyes before they family all carried on along after Clark. Taking in the cleaner and more friendlier looking corridors and seeing that the prison was well loved and cared for by those within the camp. All differently aged people passing and laughing and living beside each other happily.

The four brothers and sister were all a little surprised over the peaceful and pleasant air. Seeing families, friends and strangers all living together with ease compared to the type of people they have met over the past year.

The Wayne family had feared that they'd never see humans with their humanity again after some close calls. But seeing the camp as lively as it was, it brought them hope that the human race could survive while keeping their humanity.

"Richard, walk with me a little slower. We can catch up with them at the section in a moment" Bruce finally broke the silence, speaking quietly so only his eldest son could hear and Dick slowed his pace until he was at a full casually stop.

"You want to know over the others?" Dick asked, stated, his eyes saddening and his tone knowing over the reason why his father held him back.

"You did say to talk later. Clark can handle the rest of the family and it gives them a chance to chose their who they're rooming with" Bruce pointed out, knowing his sons and daughter will just fine with Clark and had the chance to dibs their own beds for now.

"Can we walk and talk? I don't really want to be stuck standing still as I do this" Dick asked with a frown, holding onto his arm and feeling his body start to tremble as images flash within his mind.

"Of course" Bruce answered with a small nod, both starting to walk again. Their pace slow and steady and Bruce took notice over his son's discomfort.

"Commissioner Gordon was the first to go. He stayed on the front lines with us. Even though we all told him to head home to Barbara. But you know how James can be. He refused. Told us the best way to keep his daughter safe was to clean the streets of those monsters overpowering us. He stayed with us, shooting back and holding them back. But he took notice over a little girl. He raced over in hopes to protect her. But she was one of them. He had wrapped an arm around her as she stood with her back to him and as he stood to run back, she bit down on his arm. We all knew what happens once bitten or scratched. He used his last bullet in the gun on the girl, giving her a quick death. Than, he slowly walked over and passed over his gun and spare bullets. Told us to use them to wipe out the rest. I shot him. He asked me one last favour. Told me to not let him ever harm someone else. I killed him, bullet to the head. Watched his body drop to the ground" Dick shakily reports in the first death he hand to deal with. He knew James were a close and old friend to Bruce, heck the man acted as an uncle to Dick for all his life. He knew his father deserved to know how he went out, the true story, he died a hero, a brave man who chose to fight instead of running.

"Richard, his death is not on your hands. You were at war in Gotham and he foolishly got himself infected. You gave him peace, you didn't murder him, you freed him" Bruce gently spoke, his low and gruff voice fading into as gentle as it can be. He places a hand on his son shoulder, pulling them to a stop and seeing how wet Dick eyes had became.

"I know. Rationally I know that but I still feel like I murdered him. That maybe I could have saved him somehow or should have waited to check if he was truly infected. But I didn't. I raised my gun and shot once he asked me for the favour. I can still see his sad smile whenever I close my eyes" Dick huffed out in irritation and frustration as he knows James wouldn't hate him but thank him for taking his life but Dick is still left haunted by the man he killed. The first person he couldn't save as the world turned into pure hell.

"Don't blame yourself" Bruce demanded, gripping at his shoulder tighter and knowing his own sadness and pain from losing his friend had filled his eyes. But Bruce didn't blame his son, nor did he see him as a killer. He needed Dick to see the same.

"And Barbara. She had barely recovered from her car accident and gotten use to her wheelchair. I knew I'd be swinging past her new place on my way to the mansion. I thought I could learn to forgive myself by saving her since I failed her father. But.. I found her on the ground. She had flung herself out from the window. Her brain scattered on the payment. I checked for any wounds, she wasn't bitten or scratched. She chose to kill herself instead of stay hidden in her apartment. I failed not only my boss but my best friend" Dick chocked out, his voice breaking as he passed on the news over his only and true best friend in his life. The women he met in high school and stuck with ever since, neither allowing their parents friendship to join t hem together but slipped into each other lives their own way. His best friend who had survived a car crash that wasn't her fault and was recovering, getting her life back again and was so proud over herself. A friend who he saw lay dead, her window opened above and her wheelchair was wedged in the window frame, unable to follow her down from when she jumped.

"It wasn't your fault. She chose to take her own life" Bruce reminded his son, he knew Barbara as well as he knew James. He knew the women would chose her own exit in her life and never be one to hide away as the world falls apart. If she chose to end her life as she did, she wouldn't have regret her choice.

"And than Alfred. He stayed with us in the bunker for a full month. But when we heard no word from you and you never entered through the bunker doors. He left. He left to search for you. Told us he had been serving the Wayne family for all his life and it was his duty to find you and return you home. He left, we both knew he wasn't going to be coming back. I tried stopping him, told him to wait the full year but he asked if I'd stand still if one of my brother's were left out there alone. I watched him leave. And once it was time to savage for food, I looked for him. Kept an eye out for clues on his whereabouts. Never found any. I always made sure to be the only one that did go out. I wanted to see the reality that became our world in hopes to be able to prepare the other's over the new world left behind. I couldn't prepare them for the hell we were left in but I did my best" Dick finally broke down, tears pouring from his eyes as he sobbed out the next stage of his life during the apocalypse. He stood so broken and his body trembling.

"And Cass?" Bruce quickly asked, trying to bring some light into his son's last couple of years and show some goodness that came with all the death and suffering.

"She was alone. Left behind. She was hurt, clearly abused at some point. I couldn't just leave her even as she seemed capable over surviving alone. I couldn't just leave her to be alone. It took some time but I gained her trust and she became apart of our family" Dick sniffled back as he kept his gaze lowered and rubbed at his eyes, trying to stop himself from crying so much.

"You did well, better than I could have. You protected your family and you kept them alive. You stayed strong for them and you kept them sane. You did everything you could. You don't have to burden all this alone anymore, I'm here now" Bruce promises as he pulls his son into a tight hug, leaving him to cry into his shoulder as he clung to him desperately.
