"I hate travelling in the damn cab it's so uncomfortable. And it's raining, I'm freezing!" the young lord shivered and complained as they walked up the stairs to the townhouse underneath the umbrella.
"I'll prepare some hot tea right away si-" Sebastian stopped short in front of the door. A bullet hole marred the polished wood letting in every few drops of rain and letting out the sickly-sweet scent of blood. It wafted through the door making his eyes burn fuchsia with worry.

"Is something the matter, Sebastian?" he asked, unable to see over Sebastian's shoulder.

Pushing open the door slowly, a massive area on the wet carpet and checkered floor trailed blood all the way behind a second door far down into the hallway. The banister for the main steps leading to upstairs was completely destroyed, and a vase that now had blood-soaked orchids was smashed right behind the door.

"There's so much blood, what the hell happened?" the young lord asked trying his best to get a shocked hand on his gun. They reluctantly followed the blood trail down the stairs and into the hallway near the kitchen.

'Were you taken?' Sebastian couldn't sense you anywhere. None of that blood was yours from what he could tell.
The young lord nearly fell back. Sebastian's eyes trailed up from the blood to a source of it. Agni was practically nailed to the door by the knives sticking out in his back in the same position you had found him.
"Is he alive?"

Sebastian touched Agni and felt nothing, no life whatsoever. Shaking his head, he gently gripped Agni's hand and pried it off the door taking the doorknob with him in his hand, and his body fell back onto Sebastian. "Rigor mortis has started to set in this was a short while ago," Sebastian said. He pushed open the door slowly revealing Prince Soma also bleeding on the floor but very much alive and sobbing.

"Your master's safety and happiness remained your priorities till the end. You really are... and exemplar butler," Sebastian said, gently laying him against the wall so he wouldn't fall and impale himself further if that were possible.
Rushing in the room the young lord asked Prince Soma if he was hurt resulting in a punch square in the jaw. He fell back in shock, and Sebastian knocked him out letting him fall to the floor on top of the young lord.

"He is clearly distraught; he doesn't know what he's doing. Understandable of course..." he trailed off.

He gritted his teeth, "You idiot... This is why I told you when we first met, to stay out of my business!" he yelled out taking a moment to compose himself, hiding his distress with anger. Wriggling from underneath his body the young lord stood up. "I want to know what happened. Was it Bravat looking for revenge or a simple burglary?"

"I don't believe that even ten regular humans could rob Agni of his life. This was something unforeseeable," Sebastian stated. "Y/n's also missing, meaning there were more people than she could handle. She left nothing that gives us any clues also meaning she didn't or couldn't sense anything wrong before the attack."

"C'mon we're doing a sweep of the house," he cocked his gun.
Nothing in the kitchen except the book you were reading most likely right before everything happened. The rest of the rooms were spotless so far.

"Y/n's gun was on the floor," the young lord handed it to Sebastian. Pocketing the gun, he shook his head. You seem to have a thing for being captured as well. The drawing room had some coal scattered on the floor in front of the fireplace. "He was stoking the fire when everything happened."

"Your room is the only one left sir," Sebastian cautioned, holding his arm out in case something or someone came flying out. He opened the door to see nothing, stepping in the rom they both nearly jumped out their skin seeing the wall in a frightful state. The wallpaper slashed to bits, words messily carved into the wall, a knocked over lamp, a broken chair, and a knife sticking out of the wall still.

"Who stole the candy from my tummy?" his eyebrows stitched together in confusion reading the message on the wall. "This wasn't random, but it makes no sense. Nothing even remotely- my Lord?"

He was trembling like a leaf about to fall from a tree, his sapphire eye widened at the sight of the message. Sebastian couldn't wrap his head around what was going on, but he was certain they would find out soon.

"My Lord?"

He snapped out of it walking briskly out the room back down to where they left Agni and the Prince. "Have Sullivan look after the Prince. Hospitals ask too many questions."

"Yes sir," he picked up Prince Soma and something fell out of his hand.

"What is this?" he muttered, picking up pieces of what appeared to be a ripped corner of singed paper and saw something he hoped never to see again. Crumpling up the miniscule triangle, he glared up at his bewildered butler.
"Sebastian... answer me this. You wouldn't lie to me, correct?"

"Yes, regrettably, I do not lie."
He swallowed thickly, trying to remain calm, "After we drop him off, get me to the manor immediately. I'm not waiting for a carriage."

~

You woke up feeling a massive headache. No, not headache, your neck felt like it was giving off dull aching pulses.

"You're joking," you groaned sitting up in your bed, you were back in the manor, in your shared room. The rain from the storm pelted at the windows and chilled the room to a temperature you wish was higher.

"Don't you dare tell me that was a nightmare," you scratched the back of your neck only to feel something disgusting. Shuddering from the instant chill it gave you, you pulled back your hand to see dried blood under your fingernails. You put your hand back and felt a gash across your nape. 'Nightmare my ass.'

Hopping out of bed you looked in the mirror, you could practically feel the blood drain from your (s/c) face. You were in your white nightgown, dried blood splattered everywhere on it. Blood staining your hands, your sheets, and pillows. Shaking, unsure of what you did, or who's blood it was. If it was yours or if you lost your mind and can't remember what you did. Did you black out and kill the man and decide to take a nap?

You snickered nervously and closed your eyes sighing; this was no time to joke. Grabbing the nearest robe, you didn't care if it was yours or not, you went in the bathroom to scrub your hands and skin of any blood that stained. Patting your face dry with a towel you sighed looking in the mirror. What the hell were you doing? Were you going insane? You felt so tired, these past few weeks had left you more than drained and disoriented.

A wail and a crash were heard from somewhere in the manor making you drop the towel and race out. You found yourself in the kitchen, then in Mey-rin's quarters. The entire basement was empty, not even a stray snake in sight.

'Godamn it I'm not completely human anymore'

You stood still and breathed trying to calm down enough to sense where everyone was. Their heartbeats racing as rapid and as clear as your own. 'Upstairs,' you thought, racing to the foyer. You saw Undertaker and the young lord's twin at the top of the stairs. Corbin's tear-streaked face stared at his father, chubby hands clutching onto Undertaker's garments. Everyone was at the base of the stairs looking up at them in shock. Finny had knocked something over clearly from shock of seeing two young lords.

"Corbin- let him go," you ran up to him but were hoisted off the stairs by Sebastian. Your feet left the ground as you fought to get out of his grip. More tears threatened to fall from his eyes. Seeing the both of you unable to get him scared him out of his mind.

"He's not going to hurt him," Sebastian said in your ear as he struggled to drag you back. "We'll get him back."
You whipped your head around to face him, his normally calm eyes glowing fuchsia- no, red with anger at Undertaker, not meeting your equally angry e/c orbs.

"So good of you to join us, I hope your injuries aren't too bad," the boy cooed down to you. "I was just telling my little brother here, that I've been with him ever since that fateful day. I don't know if your husband has told you what he did to me." Keeping your eye trained on your son, you hoped the man in black wouldn't surprise you all while you stood there.

Undertaker giggled, "I had the delight of informing her, Earl Phantomhive, I assure you she knows."

You felt Sebastian's body go rigid as he still held on to you, he still didn't know that you knew.
