Chapter Two.

"Mother!" The small child called out as she skipped to the front porch of her home. "Mother I'm home now!" The little girl had been picking flowers in the garden in the front yard.

She had a bouquet of Tiger Lillie's and small stalks of Lavendar in her hand, her mothers favorite. She strolled up the steps as she hummed to herself quietly.

When she stepped onto the porch, she had realized her puppy, Jasper, was not barking.

"That's odd. Jasper usually waits for me to get home, but he's so quiet." She said to herself.

She looked around the porch for her puppy and finally spotted the small mound of black fur curled up underneath the porch swing.

"Jasper, you silly puppy." She said as she dropped her flowers and crawled on her hands and knees to her puppy. "Come here boy." She called, but Jasper did not budge.

"Oh quit playing now, we have to get inside before mother gets worried." She said. She held out her arms for her puppy to jump into, but he never moved.

"Jasper, what is wrong with y-" she began, but cut herself off when she rolled Jasper over.

"J-jasper?" She whispered as a single tear fled from her eye. The slits where Jasper's eyes used to be, were now two deep, dark holes that were filled to the brim with a sticky red liquid. Jasper's body was completely stiff and cold, and it appeared as if his neck had been broken.

She pulled her hands away hesitantly and realized they were completely covered in the sticky liquid.

Her breathing began to speed up quite fast as she backed away from her beloved puppy. The puppy that had been her best friend, whom she loved dearly.

"M-m, mommy!" She screamed, the sight before her finally sinking in. She stood up, shakily at first, but finally gained her balance.

She ran to the door and opened it, only to be met with a sight far more horrid than the one she had just experienced.

The white walls, once the color of fresh virgin snow, were now splattered with a dark, thick crimson. She walked passed the walls, trying her best to avoid touching them.

"Mother? Where are you?" She asked frantically, but could not find her anywhere.

As she walked, she noticed her feet were splashing around in something warm. She looked down and screamed as she realized she had been walking in blood. She took a few steps back as the carpet squished between her toes.

When she finally stopped screaming, she found that she had ran into the back of the couch. She walked around the sofa and her eyes grew to the size of the moon.

There on the carpet, lay her mothers decapitated head surrounded by a ring of blood.

"Ahh!" She screamed in complete and utter terror. "Mommy!"

She shakily knealt down beside her mothers head, careful not to kneel in any of the warm blood.

"Mommy!" She began to cry. "Mommy please, no."

She reached her little hand out and touched her mothers soft, brown hair. Her blue eyes were open, so she gently closed them.

Suddenly, the little girl heard footsteps. They were getting louder and louder. She froze with every step as it grew closer.

'I have to be brave.' She thought. 'For mommy.'

She slowly turned her head around and waited for the mystery guest to make their appearance.

'Thump, thump.' Her heart beat. 'Thump, thump.'

She watched as the shilouette of a man rounded the corner and stepped into the light of the living room.

Her eyes grew wide as realization set in.

"D-daddy?" She whispered.

The man walked to the little girl and stopped. "Yes my dear, it is daddy." He said.

The little girl shook her head, as if she were confused. "Daddy, did you kill mommy?" She asked.

Her father chuckled lightly as he nodded his head. "Yes my angel, I did it for you."

The girl slapped his hand away and stepped back with a look of disgust plastered on her small, pale face.

Her father sat back on his legs, taken back by his daughters actions.

"You killed mommy!" She shouted. "Why daddy, why!"

"Angel," he said as he moved closer to her. "Mommy was going to have you taken away from me, and I knew I could not live without seeing you anymore. Daddy had to take care of it."

He reached for her once more, but she slapped his hand away and ran passed him as tears stung her eyes.

She grabbed her teddy bear and ran out of the front door, onto the porch. When she saw Jasper again, she ran down the stairs and into the street.

She began to run as fast as her tiny legs could go. Tears flowed down her cheeks and landed onto the cold ground, along with the shatters of her small heart. She ran and ran, not really knowing where to go.

She was alone now in the world. A six year old girl, alone with no one left. That day sent her into an early state of maturity.

"I will get you daddy." She thought to herself with a deranged smile as she clung to her blood soaked teddy bear.
