Chapter Five.
"Sebastian, would it be too much of a bother to go into town today?" Mollie asked as she sat at her desk, twiddling her thumbs.
"Of course not my lady," Sebastian said while he poured her a cup of lavender tea. "We can do or go anywhere that you would like."
"I would like to go into town and look around at some of the shops for some new decor for the manor. Will you have a carriage prepared please?" She asked nicely.
Sebastian was taken back a bit by her words, never in his entire life had a master said please. "Of course my lady." He replied kindly, her kindness rubbing off on him.
"Thank you Sebastian."
Sebastian nodded his head and handed her a beautifully painted ceramic tea cup. She took the cup happily and took a small sip. "Where did you learn how to prepare tea so perfectly? It's delicious." She said.
"When you have lived as long as I have, you tend to perfect things over the years, my lady." He said with a chuckle.
"Now, I shall have a carriage prepared. Please, enjoy the refreshments I have prepared while I am gone." He said.
Mollie nodded her head and dismissed Sebastian. When he left, she sipped some more of her perfectly brewed tea and nibbled at a deliciously baked white chocolate and raspberry scone, her favorite.
She turned to look out of the window and noticed something odd. Spencer was in the garden, tending to his duties, until she turned around. She looked down and noticed he had been staring at her.
His deep, blue eyes seemed as if they were looking directly into her very soul. After a moment had passed, he lifted his hand and waved respectfully to her. She returned the wave and turned back around to finish her scone. But she could still feel his eyes on her. She shook her head and brushed it off as nothing.
"My lady," Sebastian said as he knocked on the door. "Are you ready?"
Mollie finished her tea and stood from her desk. "Yes I am ready Sebastian." She said as she opened the door.
Sebastian was waiting with a beautiful white sun hat with a large, black bow.
"Oh it's beautiful Sebastian!" She said happily.
"I am pleased that you like it my lady, may I?" He asked as he held up the hat.
Mollie nodded her head. "Of course you may."
Sebastian placed the hat on her head and arranged it so it angled her face perfectly, accentuating her beauty even more, if that were possible.
"Thank you Sebastian."
"You are welcome my lady, let us go." He said.
Mollie followed Sebastian down the halls and to the front door. He opened the door for her and closed it when she was outside.
The wind blew across Mollie's skin, sending her lovely scent to soar through the air and into Sebastian's nose. A small grin grew across his pale face as he licked his lips.
"It is such a lovely day out, it would have been a shame to spend it indoors." Mollie said, snapping Sebastian out of his daze again.
Sebastian has realized that he had been doing the same thing over and over. When he smelled her soul, it sent him under a spell. He found it rather odd however, he had never done it with any of his former masters, not even with Ciel.
He just assumed it was because of her kind nature, that it drew him closer to her and made her soul all the more delectable.
"I agree my lady, it is a rather beautiful day. The weather is perfect for an outing such as this." Sebastian said agreeingly.
He watched as she walked to the carriage. He took the time to really take in her gracious features.
Her skin was pale and perfect and seemed to sparkle under the sunlight. Her face was shaped and angled perfectly to suit a lady. Her violet eyes were stunning and would put lavender to shame. Her hair was soft and silver and looked as if it were made of the finest quality of silk.
Her shoulders were shaped to perfection and her limbs were long and gracious. She was tall, but the perfect amount of heighth for any man. Sebastian wondered why not a single man had asked for her hand, but he dared not to ask.
"I think I shall ask Spencer to plant some lavender and blue bells, I think they would look lovely around the mansion. This manor lacks the touch of a lady's hand." Mollie said.
Sebastian chuckled as he only heard the last part of what she had said. "I agree my lady."
He opened the door to the carriage and held out his hand. She placed her delicate hand in his and and stepped into the carriage, Sebastian began to close the door, but Mollie stopped him.
"Sebastian, you are more than welcome to ride in the cab with me, if you would like." She said, tapping the seat next to her.
A smile spread across Sebastian's lips as he stepped into the cab. He sat down next to her, usually it would be disrespectful to sit directly beside your master, but he did not want to disappoint her.
"My lady, if I may." He began.
"Of course Sebastian, what is it?" She asked.
"Do forgive me, I mean no disrespect, but why treat a mere servant as if they were of nobility? Especially someone of my kind." He said.
Mollie smiled and looked down at her feet and back to Sebastian. "Because you are kind enough to serve me. You did not have to agree to the contract, you could have just left me to die, and I know it is because you shall get my soul after you have fulfilled my wishes, but that does not mean you do not deserve kindness and generosity. You are a fantastic and sweet person, I just feel that you should be repaid with what you give." She explained.
Sebastian felt something odd in his chest as she spoke. He had never known this generosity from anyone before, and he had known a lot of people.
It was as if she truly had him under a spell, something he could not break free from.
"It truly is an honour and a privilege to serve you my lady. I appreciate your kind nature a great deal." He said with a whole hearted smile.
