Chapter Eight.

"Sebastian," Mollie said as she pulled away from him. "What on earth was that?"

Sebastian furrowed his brow in confusion. "I am just at a loss as you are, I have never felt anything like that before."

"But you have touched me before and that has never happened, not that I remember." She said.

"I do not recall it either Mollie, perhaps it was just static." Sebastian said as he placed a finger to his chin in thought.

Sebastian had a few theories as to what it was, but he did not find the need to share them with his master. He didn't find them to be of any significance.

"Perhaps so." Mollie said sitting back in her seat, pondering at the question at hand. What was it that she felt, was it love? 'No, I could not be love. I do not ever care for Sebastian like that.' She thought to herself.

But then she started to doubt herself. 'Maybe it is.' She thought.

Why did she suddenly have those feelings towards Sebastian? He was a demon after all. He was sadistic and cruel, killing was completely in his nature. But something about him intrigued her. A part inside of her knew that she was afraid of him, but another was not.

How many souls had he consumed in his life span? How many lived within him? Mollie definitely did not know the answer, but a part of her wanted to. But she dare not ask.

She could not seem to conjure up an answer to the question at hand. Why was she so attached to him? Was it his charming looks? His kindness that only he showed to her? Or perhaps it was something entirely different.

Her feelings were not lust or gluttony, they were more along the lines of wanting to protect him, she felt a sense of control over him, not just because of the contract, but something else.

It was as if she were born to become his master. She was determined to figure it out.

When they arrived at the manor, Mollie wasted no time and ran straight inside to the library. Maybe there was a book that could explain what had happened.

She searched the shelves along with a multitude of books, until one caught her eye.

She pulled the beautiful brown leather book from the shelf and read the title.

"The truth behind supernatural occurrences." She said to herself. "Maybe this will tell me something, it obviously has something to do with Sebastian being a demon."

She sat down in one of the Victorian style armchairs and pulled her legs to her chest. She opened the cover and began to read.

Chapter one: Witches and Warlocks.

"Well this is obviously not helpful." She said to herself.

She flipped through a few more chapters, until something else caught her attention.

Chapter six: Demons and their True Masters.

She lowered her head to the side and began to read.

"From the dawn of time, humans have been born to serve as a true master to a demon, or any other supernatural creature. A true master is the only being who can fully control a creature, it is as if they are put under an eternal spell. On rare occasions, the human party to the pair could also be a supernatural creature. This is determined by a trust test.

A trust test is when the supernatural creatures touches the 'human' after a sense of trust has been won over and a sense of static electricity is felt. The electricity is the product of the two powers combining.

If this is felt, the human party to the pair is no human at all, rather a supernatural creature them self. The rarity of this occurrence is roughly one in six billion, it has only been recorded three times in history."

Mollie's eyes widened as she read. Could she really be a monster like Sebastian? If she were, why had she never shown any super human abilities? Why was she able to consume human food? Why had she never craved souls before?

"My lad- Mollie," Sebastian said, correcting himself and pulling her from her thoughts. "You seemed rather upset when we arrived, so I have prepared you some hot cocoa." He said as he pushed a cart into the library.

Mollie looked up from her book to see Sebastian with that ever so present smile.

"Oh, thank you Sebastian. I was actually about to come find you, there is something I need you to see." She said.

"If I may ask, what are you reading?" He asked curiously.

"The truth behind supernatural occurrences. I was curious as to what happened in the carriage, so I thought I would look to see if we possibly had a book on the subject, and surprisingly we do." She said as she held up the book for him to see.

Sebastian pushed the cart fully into the room and looked at the book in her hand.

"May I?" He asked.

Mollie nodded her head and handed Sebastian the book. He skimmed over a few words and paused.

"What is it Sebastian?" She asked.

"My lady, if I may ask of a favor." He said, completely serious.

Mollie nodded her head for him to go on.

"Please, stand if you will." He said as he walked closer to her, setting the book face down onto the cart as to not lose her page.

Mollie stood from her chair and nodded her head once more.

"How much do you trust me?" Sebastian asked.

Mollie thought for a moment. "I suppose I trust you a great deal, probably more than anyone I would say."

Sebastian nodded his head. "Forgive my touch my lady, please bare with me."

Sebastian suddenly wrapped his arms around Mollie. Hesitant at first, she wrapped her arms around him as well in an embrace.

As soon as they touched, the same electrical feeling from before, sparked at their fingertips and zapped throughout their bodies.

Mollie was about to pull away, when she suddenly found it soothing. Her body vibrated with a sense of calm and relaxation.

Sebastian on the other hand, was experiencing something completely different.
