After giving her the sedative, Fatima was under control but still didn't let Maya to go..clutched her hand in fear... Maya took a seat beside her...caressing her hair..asked her to close her eyes...Maya dimmed the light...Lila pulled the quilt over Fatima..

Lila: Maya Didi..ekta kotha bolbo? (Should I say one thing?)

Maya (Indicating her to speak in a low voice as Lila bit her tongue): Shhh..Ki? (What is it?)

Lila (In a shy manner and dreamily): Dada Babu is so handsome (Brother in law/Bava is so handsome) [Maya glared at her]

Maya thought about Jay that he might have been still waiting for her...Maya tried to free her hand from Fatima's grip but she gripped it more tightly...murmuring something inaudible..Maya immediately started patting her head....

Maya (Whispered to Lila): Lila...will you please tell Jay that I will come in another 15 minutes..?

Lila (Shyly and Excitedly): Okay Didi...[As Maya wanted to bang her head]

Maya looked at Fatima...though her eyes were closed..the fear of that dreadful incident she experienced, still evident in every corner of her face...

Jay was going through the pictures and recognition Maya got through certificates...a proud smile crept on his face...

Lila: Dada Babu? (Brother in law?)

Jay looked at Lila...

Lila: Didi bollo ar 15 minutes a chole ashbe...(Didi said..she will come in another 15 minutes)

Jay (Giving her a small smile): Thik ache (Alright)

Immediately after Lila left, Jay got a call from the head quarter...asking him to come over immediately as an emergency case had come...Jay was in dilemma...he actually took a day leave after almost 6 months to spend the day with Maya...to mend their relationship...he called Arnab to ask if he could manage...Arnab said he would and Jay sighed a relief...

Maya bit her lip when Lila came...She already had a brainstorming session in her head as she was super skeptical whether Jay would be still here...for her...

Lila: Didi...

Maya (Sternly): He left na?

Lila: Na na Didi...Dada Babu ekhanei ache... and he said Okay..(Bro in Law is still here)

Maya's eyes danced with delight..and she could not wait to share the "big news" with him...she knew he would be angry...extremely angry as she did a big mistake for keeping him in dark for so many days...And what if he wanted to punish her like the way she did...she immediately felt nervous thinking about the consequences but she was ready to face his wrath because she genuinely was at fault this time...

Lila (Intervening Maya's thoughts): Didi..Dada babu Lalbazar e ache na? (Brother in law is an officer at Lalbazar na?)

Maya slowly nodded her head..

An amused Dr. Dasgupta smiled at the young man...

Jay (Sheepishly): Yeah..waiting for Maya...

His phone started ringing again and he excused himself to take the call...it was the call from Saswata Sengupta, the head of Kolkata Police Crime Brunch...

Mr. Sengupta: Jay...we need to solve and target them today itself...

Dr. Dasgupta smiled at her seeing her childlike excitement, Maya quickly composed herself...

Dr. Dasgupta: Maya...he left 10 minutes ago...asked me to drop you..so you are coming with me...:)

She immediately got his reply: You want me to come or not?

She quickly called him...he picked it up with a chuckle...

Maya (With a threatening tone): If you don't turn up today...then..I will hang you upside down..:x

Jay: And if I do... (with a hoarse voice) then you have to give me whatever I will ask...deal?

She blushed hard...

Maya: Deal 😎 Umm Joy...

Jay: Yeah...

Maya: Get your damn thing finished and come fast...I need to tell you something really really important...

Jay (In a serious voice): What is it, Shona?

Maya (Biting her lip): See you at 7...(As she hung up the call...started preparing herself mentally)

Maya was about to say something...

Thamma: Uff..ei meyeta amay kono kaj korte debe na...(Uff...this girl won't let me to do any work)

Maya (With a sad tone): Thamma.... :(

Her kool Thamma winked at her and left for kitchen to prepare "His" favorite "Macher Jhol" (Fish Curry)
