I'm toying around with some covers for a book by another author here, using royalty-free images. Not much more to say than that!

I'll need to do some fixing with this one—I managed to end up with a cover inside a cover, hence the double watermarking here. But this is enough as a sample of the concept. I do wonder if the title text itself looks a little too horror-like in that red color, plus the arrangement of all the text comes out a little busy. Still, I'm pretty pleased with it nonetheless.

For this set, you basically have multiple variations on the same basic theme. Heh, I kinda want to use one of these myself now!

I have at least another idea or two that I could try, but I want to see what the author thinks of these before I proceed any further. And of course there'll be the usual attempts to adjust ratios and make them fit Wattpad cover sizes. Oh, joy.

We're looking for something a little more mysterious now: figures with hidden faces. With that in mind, I've found a new picture. I'm also experimenting with using color gradation in the font to hopefully create a sense of emphasis and also symbolism; it starts out lighter and descends into darkness.

Stay tuned to see if one of these is the one, or if our search for just the right picture shall continue!
