'Til the End: Chapter 8

Misaki sighed as she got up from her bed. Toshiki was still asleep. She didn't to wake him up, instead, she prepared on her own before going to school.

What's bothering me? I usually try to wake hin up...Or he wakes me up...

She sighed at the thought. Of course, she knew what was bothering her. Or more like, WHO was bothering her.

Misaki got her phone that she was charging before leaving the dorm.

(Now I realize...How come did Kai and Misaki have the same dorm when they have different genders? Like...Nevermind.)

She glanced at the time on her phone and sighed. 6:37 AM. Classes don't start until 7:30 AM.

Might as well go to the library...

Misaki thought and went to the library to clear her mind off things. The library was like her paradise, being the bookworm she is.

She sighed again when she saw that it was still closed. She glanced at her phone; 6:44 AM. I'll head to the field, then.

Mentally sighing for the 5th time, she headed towards the field. Having counted her number of sighs, she closed her eyes as she sat on the grass.

I need to stop sighing. Shira and the others are NOTHING compared to...Compared to...

She couldn't think about it as it hurts. Speaking of the devil, Misaki came face to face with the devil herself.

"Oh, hi, good morning." Misaki greeted sarcastically. "Where are your cronies?" She asked, a sweet but fake smile on her face.

"Good morning too, I won't take long. I just want to treat you to lunch later. I apologize for my rudeness." Shira replied, her eyes were on the ground.

"And how sure I am that you won't kill me?"

"Paranoid. I can see why he can put up with you. But I warn you, don't take advantage of his kind attitude, when he's totally vulnerable." Shira told Misaki, but she glared in return.

"Don't make me like you. I'm not like you."

"Sure. See you later." The blonde bid, but Misaki just glared harder.

I won't see you later. Hopefully.

"Hopefully? I didn't know you were this pessimistic." She was startled.

"Kai...I said my thoughts out loud didn't I?"

"Don't call me by my last name. And yes, you did. What's the matter?" He asked her and sat beside her.

"Oh...Nothing." Misaki lied.

Toshiki nodded. "Now that's settled..." He stopped and stared into her eyes.

"Huh? What's wro-" She wasn't able to finish since he flicked her forehead. "Ow! What was that for?!" She asked him, rubbing the part where he flicked her.

He glared at her, but only in a way that made Misaki somewhat offended. "What?" She asked.

"Why?" He asked back.

"I don't know what you mean?" She replied more like a question.

"Don't pretend that you don't know what I mean. Drop that facade, Tokura." He replied, making her annoyed.

She doesn't like being called by her surname, and Toshiki knows that.

"Don't call me by my family name...Kai Toshiki." She glared at him. Misaki never called him by his full name, unless she was really pissed.

"So you're not in the mood. Okay, I'm fine with leaving. It seems that you're on your..." He stopped as Misaki threw a book. One more step, and it could have hit him.

"One more thing, your aim is terrible."

"I did that on purpose! One way or another, you could've dodged it!" Misaki said in defiance.

"Tch, whatever you say. Why are you so moody..." Toshiki said, more like a statement than a question.

"I'm not! Say one more word and I'll-!" She cut herself off and huffed.

"Kaykay." He started walking away, then he paused and chuckled. "PMS." He laughed and dodged just in time as Misaki threw another book.
