'Til the End: Chapter 5

Misaki entered the Chemistry room, all out of breath from running away from her enraged best friend. She panted for a few moments before she sat on her seat.

And speaking of the devil, he entered the room, and was obviously annoyed. No one would dare to mess with him right now since his annoyance was clearly visible.

Toshiki glared playfully at Misaki as he sat beside her, as if saying 'I'll get you for that later.' She made a peace sign and smiled. She then showed the photo to him, who tried to get her phone but can't.

And it was obvious that she was teasing and tormenting him. Toshiki rolled his eyes and sat straight as the professor entered the room.

The time went by fast, and before everyone knew it Chemistry was already over. The students started leaving the room, and soon enough the room was already empty.

Meanwhile with Ren and Asaka....

1 hour rewind... Ren rushed inside the room. He saw that Asaka was already seated and she seemed to be calm. But then he noticed something; all eyes were laid on him, and he immediately knew that he was late.

He walked towards the professor's desk and received the piece of paper that the professor gave him. Ren had this breakdown aura about him as he went to his seat.

"Open your textbooks to page 215. There, if angle x is perpendicular to angle y..." Ren wasn't actually listening; he was just reading what's written on the board. He averted his gaze to his book, and read.

He was reading when the professor called his attention. "Mr. Suzugamori?" He cleared his throat.

Ren immediately stood up. "H-Hai Sensei?" He asked.

"Were you listening to my question?" The professor asked him. Ren shook his head a bit.

"N-no sir, can you please repeat it?" He asked in an embarrassed way.

"I wasn't asking anything; now answer your book on pages 216-220." The professor walked away and Ren groaned mentally. 'Great, 4 pages with 10 questions each. Kamisama, I HATE MATH!!'

He sighed and took out his yellow pad and pen before reading the first question.

As Ren was just on page 217, Asaka stood up and passed her paper. He was shocked that Asaka was already finished.

Asaka noticed Ren's expression and giggled. She winked at him and returned to her seat, making Ren embarrassed.

And after what seemed to be like forever, Trigonometry was already finished. Ren cheered in his mind. 'Finally, after 6534378753248765428798 years!' He thought with exaggeration.

However, everyone's hopes were destroyed as the professor spoke. "Don't get your hopes up, to those who aren't finished yet, come to my office later and finish your work. Those who didn't pass their paper would get -5 on their grade."

Groans were heard at his announcement. But the professor ignored it and went to the faculty office.
