Chapter Eleven

Jenna stared at her disheveled and stressed reflection in the mirror of their vanity table. Her eyes had dark bags around them, her eyes were almost red, dried up tears stained her cheeks, face pale and her hair in different directions on her head.

She sniffed and dragged her dull eyes away from the mirror to her palms that were positioned upwards on the vanity table. She chewed on her bottom lip when she began to feel another pang of hurt in her heart.

"What am I going to do?" She asked herself and covered her face with her hands. "I'm out of ideas and need solitude at this moment."

"There's nothing more to do than separating those two."

Jenna looked up at the mirror, where there was another reflection of herself beside the one in the mirror, making them three. She raised her brows and looked away in thought.

"I've thought of everything," Jenna said and the first one chuckled briefly. "What? Don't laugh at me!"

Jenna growled and knocked aside the items on the wooden table in anger and stood up. She paced around the room, muttering incoherent words to herself. She looked to her side and found the third Jenna still there, smiling in a goading manner.

"Go away!" Jenna yelled, picked up the lamp by her side and tossed it at her physical conscience that disappeared right after the lamp went through it.

The afro haired woman fell to her knees and whimpered softly then laid down on the floor. She looked up at the ceiling and ignored the banging on the door, by Jonathan.

"Jenna?! Please, open up! Let's talk about all these! I'm worried about you! Open the damn door or I'll break it down!"

Jenna scoffed. "Go away!"

"You're my wife for Christ's sake! I have every right to care for you and check up on you! You're making me sad, Jenna!"

"Right?" She whispered to herself then stood up and marched to the door. "Did you say you have the right? What right do you think you have, you bastard? Tell me! You think you have the right to marry me, love me, then go behind my back to cheat on me and toss me aside like a piece of paper?! Is that what you call right?!" Jenna hissed after she punched the door with her fist.

"Jenna, what do you mean? I would never cheat on you. I love you, I really do and I can't do such a thing to you because of the love and resp-"

Jenna screamed. "Stop it! Don't tell me that! You do not love me or respect me! You love Vera, care for her and respect her way more than me!"

She backed away from the door after hearing his footsteps moving away from the door, and started to cry while repeating what she had just said.

"You love her," she whispered and sat down on the bed. "Just go away, please."

"Did you see? He claims to love you but doesn't. If he really did, he would've broken that door down to save you or tell you that. I mean, he's not going to do it when he didn't even look for you when you were in the hospital," the second Jenna, that whispered in her ear, said beside her on the bed.

Jenna looked at herself and nodded absently. She sighed and laid down on the bed then all of a sudden, she rose up.

"Wait, the hospital and that nurse then that guy." She became breathless again. "I left that building after hurting someone, they could be after me. No, I can't get caught."

"That should not stop you from doing what you want before they get to you then," the first Jenna stated and disappeared.

"She's right," Jenna said and chuckled lightly. "Who am I to fret? First, they'll pay for hurting me, for lying to me and making me miserable."

Jenna stood up and walked over to the mirror. She examined her face and hair then a thought crossed her mind before she rushed to the walk-in closet and came out with an outfit. After that, she raced into the bathroom and took a quick shower, came out and wiped her body dry.

Few minutes later, she was dressed in the outfit she had picked. It was a maroon, A-line thigh length dress that had a long slit on the side with spaghetti straps. Her face was covered with a light makeup and hair straightened. She smirked as she admired her outfit which she completed with a black sandal heels.

"Two can play," she stated and laughed drily.

Jenna tucked her hair behind her ears as she kept her eyes on the rear view mirror of her car then looked over at the colorful club adjacent to where she was. The light skinned woman quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car then crossed the street in confident strides.

She got to the long line of people, brushed past all of them who yelled out, which made her turn to them and offered them a short smirk. She turned back to face the bulky bouncer and flashed him a golden card which allowed her walk in without struggle.

Jenna began to grin as the satisfying heavy banging of the club music played. She raised both her hands as she walked towards the crowd dancing in the dim lights of the club.

"Ooh," she hooted and moved fluidly to the beats the DJ gave, letting the stress and emotional strain flow out of her body with every beat.

After a few dance moves and music, she made her way to the bar stand, sat on one of the high stools and snapped her fingers at the bartender who responded quickly with a smile.

"Hello, Mrs. Hanks," he greeted, in all smiles. "You came alone?"

Jenna chuckled. "Why don't you pay attention to what I am about to order and leave my personal matters out of your mouth."

The tall man swallowed and nodded instantly.

"S-Sure, what would you like?" He asked.

"Just give me vodka," she said and he rushed with her order and handed it to her.

Jenna picked up the glass and took a large swig from the glass, which made her hiss at the burning sensation before she exhaled and took another swig from the glass. When it got finished, she snapped her fingers again at him to fill the glass up once more.

"Uh, are you okay?" He asked while pouring some more.

Jenna kept quiet and grabbed the glass cup the second he was done and took another swig from the glass. The music changed and the woman began to move slowly on her stool for a period of time until someone stood beside her.

"Hello," the man said and Jenna turned around, her head light from being slightly drunk.

Her eyes scanned from his jeans, his white shirt then to his face. He looked like he was around Jonathan's age, chocolate skinned, chiseled face in the right places, brown eyes and short dreadlocked hair.

"Uh, hi?" She asked and craned her head sideways. "What do you want?"

He smiled. "I saw you walk in here and I was speechless. I mean, don't get me the wrong way, but you're beautiful and I saw you drinking that much alcohol and I got worried."

Jenna frowned. "You don't even know me."

He shrugged. "Doesn't matter, Miss-"

"It's Jenna, I am Jenna," she said and placed her left hand on her chest for emphasis, the single motioned caused the man to spot the ring on her finger

"Oh, you're married. I see," he said, his expression had swapped from happy to blank.

Jenna gasped. "This?" She wiggled her fingers. "I don't even know what this is anymore when my husband cheats."

"Trouble in paradise, eh? That explains your drinking," he stated in a more accented British tone.

She hummed. "What's your name? I've always had a thing for men with such accents. Grrr, so sexy." She giggled.

"I'm Rodney," he replied with a smirk then the DJ played a current pop song which made everyone in the club holler, which also made Jenna grab his wrist and raced to the dance floor and began to move to the song while Rodney stood with his bottom lip touched by his thumb, while looking Jenna up and down in lust.

She moved, she whined her waist, she bent low, moved closer to him, placed her hands on her chest and danced to the song then placed his large hands on her hips with a small smile on her face.

"Dance," she whispered close to his ear and he did as the song intensified.

They danced sharply and sensually with each other, Jenna getting her pain out while Rodney enjoyed himself with her but when Rodney wanted to kiss her or act past the dancing limit, she would hold his face and give him a warning smile.

"Let the music touch us," she whispered again and danced more energetically to the song over his body.

Before the song ended, Rodney took her by the wrist and pulled her with him, deeper into the club, through a dim hallway and into a room that was equally dim.

"What are you doing?" She asked and giggled then twirled around. "I feel so good!"

Rodney smirked. "Let me make it extra."

Jenna paused to stare at him with a grin on her face while moving side to side, waiting patiently for what he was planning to do.

The man licked his lips and walked up to her, wrapped his arms around her body and placed his face in the crook of her neck, placing kisses while she giggled.

"Why would your husband take his eyes off you for someone else?" He whispered and began to trace his hand from her neck, spine and when he was about to touch her backside, he groaned in pain then backed away with his hands between his legs.

Jenna smirked. "Did that hurt?" She licked her upper teeth as she watched the groaning man.

Rodney swore under his breath and watched as she flipped her hair over her shoulder and made her way to the door, just as she touched the door handle, he stood straight and grabbed her upper arm and pulled her back.

"Hey!" Jenna yelled and struggled with him. "Get away from me!"

Jenna hissed as he pulled her closer to his body and began to place aggressive kisses on her neck and bare shoulder while she began to whimper within his arms.

"You thought you could act so smart?" He whispered and touched one strap of her dress and instantly, Jenna growled, grabbed his arm with her free hand, planted one of her feet into the floor, elbowed his side and twisted her body around then threw Rodney over her shoulder.

Jenna looked around the room while Rodney groaned in pain and when she found what she wanted, she grabbed it, which was a guitar then smashed it on Rodney repeatedly until he lost consciousness.

She chuckled. "I didn't learn a few things in martial arts for nothing."

With that, she walked out of the room with a smirk on her lips. She staggered her way through the hallway and moved her body to the vibration of the song hitting the walls. She almost found herself tripping but caught herself by leaning on the wall. She breathed heavily and began to chuckle but suddenly began to cry.

"Why couldn't I just cheat on him like he did to me? Why is it so hard?" She asked herself and rested on the wall. "T-There has to be some other way. I have to find a way to get back at him or something."

Jenna sniffed and touched her hair then slowly moved away from the wall and slowly walked towards the entrance of the dim lit hallway.
