The place where the injecter had be planted was pink and smoking. The four raced up to a cluster of  people, Steven stood next to the mayor. "Steven what is going on here?" The Mayor asked. "I'm not sure, but I'll find out. Let's open up the shelters we might need to evaluate. " Steven said to the shorter woman.

More Flowers were dying and the grass looked darker the more the four got to the injecter. "Lapis, Bismuth, Peridot!" Steven yelled once they all got to the injecter. "Whats the damage?" Amethyst asked, Peridot just looked at her.

"Amethyst, get away from me, I can't stand to see you all vacant and bereft of personality." Peridot says waving her hand dismissively. "Yo, I'm back, you dip." Amethyst deadpaned, Peridot smiled. "Oh! Well your just in time for the end of the world" Peridot stressfully smiles. "This is no ordinary injecter, whatever it's leaking into the ground is toxic, let's get a scan going and see what we're dealing with."

Peridot said Bismuth handed her a piece of the earth, Peridot bubbled the piece and placed it in a microwave. It printed out a series of letters, Peridot seems to be able to read them. "Just as I thought." Peridot pulled up a screen, a diagram of the injecter was shown with more words.

"Bio-poison. pure and uncut. As of this moment the ampoule has drained 15.4% of its contents meaning the poison is releasing, at a destruction rate of 5 cubic meters per hour giving us, hm, 41 hours until destruction of all organic life on earth." Peridot explained fixing her glasses and moving to the smaller screen. "All organic life?" Steven asked his eyes glued to the large screen I fear. "Yeah like the animals, the plants, the insects, you know...people." Peridot shrugged fixing something on the screen.

"This is what Spinel meant." Steven spoke in fear. "'Your human half won't stand a chance against my injecter' She- she brought this thing here to kill me! And now - now it's gonna kill everything else on earth too, I've gotta do something!" Steven exclaimed, about to do something stupid. "No Steven wait!" Bismuth said as Steven got closer to the injecter. "Steven! Stop!" Peridot screeched as Steven got close to the drill pushing the pink liquid in the earth.

Steven grabbed the drill and tried to lift it. "Steven!" Bismuth yelled, "careful!" Amethyst exclaimed. "What is that clod thinking?!" Peridot screeched. "Yeah! Lift with your legs!" Spinel encouraged. When the injecter got atleast most of the way out, Steven's gem started to glow and flicker making him drop it. The cracks became more prominent in pink and started to crack the ground more. Steven got stuck about to fall in the pink goo before a pink gloved hand grabbed him and brought him to safety. "Well look what I reeled in!" Everyone came rushing to the pair.

"Steven!" Peridot exclaimed "Are you okay?" Amethyst asked. "My organic jacket..." Steven whimpered he lifted his shirt to see his gem again, still glowing with the strange essence. "I can't do anything with my powers like this." Steven dropped his shirt and looked at his friends. "Bismuth, Lapis, can't you lift that thing? Peridot, what about your metal powers?" Steven looked at the gems desperately. "You think we didn't try that?" Lapis said a frustrated look lathered onto her face. "Disturbing the injecter accelerates the poisons rate of release. Also it might explode." Peridot said, moving the tablet to show Steven before moving it away again.

"We have to find a way to move it without touching it, before it's too late." Peridot replied as Spinel made her way over to the injecter, Tigers eye followed a usual. Steven had a thought. "Spinel- she activated it, so she might be able to deactivate it, but she doesn't even remember what it is, let alone how to control it." Steven said looking at the pink gem waving at the boy. "Then you gotta change her back." Bismuth comments a serious look on her face. "No way! She's cute and harmless now! But if we bring her back she'll kill us all!" Steven tried to explain his reason, Peridot shrugged.

"You're going to die anyway, if you don't get her to deactivate that thing!" Peridot said bluntly. "She's right, Steven. You got me back, whatever you did for me just do it for her." Amethyst butted in, Steven shook his head. "Thats different. I know you. I don't know anything about Spinel. None of us had ever even heard of her before. Except.... pearl! Pearl knew her!"

Time skip

"I'm afraid I can't help. Im currently in the service of my um Greg universe, preparing for tonight's concert, showcasing a promising ensemble in the 'rockinroll' genre." Pearl explained, Steven frowned while Amethyst snickered. "You're evacuating people to the warehouse? I'll I'll cancel the rock show." Greg said walking out of the garage phone in hand, Pearl ushered the four to back up. "No? You're right. Sadie killer always draws a crowd. You got it mayor. I'll drop the covor charge, and, heck, 30% off merch." Greg said ending the call.

"Dad." Steven called. "Steven, you found Amethyst!" Greg said with enthusiasm. "Who is Amethyst?" Amethyst said in a robotic tone. "Oh no. She's even worse." Greg's smile turned into a frown. "Nah I'm just goofin'." Amethyst said waving to Greg in a playful manner. "Too soon Amethyst." Greg said, then a crash was heard Greg went inside the garage to see cotton candy Garnet covered in red and blue wires with Spinel and Tigers eye sitting next to her. "Garnet are you okay!" Greg said in a worried tone. "Did you want the red cable or the blue cable?" Garnet asked lifting up the red cable. "It doesn't matter! they're the same!" Greg said in a stressed tone.

Pearl takes a guitar and places it inside her gem. "Pearl what are you doing? We need those for the show!" Greg said in distress. "Who cares about the rock show?! We have to stop Spinels injecter or everyone on earth is going to die!" Steven exclaimed turning around. "To stop it we need Spinel back, and to do that, we need pearl back, and to do that, we need her missing pieces, Pearl and mom rebelled together so she's gotta rebel with you. We've gotta stage some big dramatic event, something to jog her memory like- like-" Steven was interrupted  by Amethyst. "Like a rock show!" Amethyst exclaimed with a smile. "Like a rock show!" Steven yelled. "Like a rock show?" Greg questioned. "Yes!" Steven and Amethyst said in unison.

"Who's here for the show?!" Sadie asked their was cheers and applause. "Who's here cause it's the end of the world?!" Sadie asked, more cheers and applause. "Wait what!?" Someone in the crowd said but Sadie brushed it off. "This first song's a special request from Steven universe!" The crowd cheered and applauded. "This has gotta bring Pearl's memories back, it's all about quitting a crummy service job.

Anything for you, sir" Sadie pointed to Pearl who still had her eyes fixated on Greg.

"Your friends all say, sir 'you don't deserve her'" Greg pointed to the stage and nudged Pearl's arm she still stars uncomfortably at him. So he gives up slumping his shoulders

Steven looked at Pearl to see that she's still staring at Greg but Spinel pops up in Steven's line of vision, quickly losing sight Tigers eye, to cheer him up with silly faces making Steven turn back to the stage.

It's feeling strange, man

This whole arrangement

After that Steven made eye contact with Amethyst in a sign of help. Amethyst waved him over. "One sec." He told the two before slipping near the stage. Amethyst abandoned her drums and went over to where Steven was.

"I-Its not enough!" Steven yelled over the music. "Maybe we need to hit her where it hurts." Amethyst said. "what?" Steven asked. "You know her original boss? the love of her life? The reason she rebelled in the first place!" Amethyst exclaimed. "Mom. She's gotta remember mom! But-" Steven turned to look at Greg.

"If that's what it takes." Greg yelled over the music shrugging his shoulders, Steven turned to Amethyst and nodded. Amethyst nodded and looked over grabbing a microphone and shape shifting into rose.

Amethyst made her way over to Pearl and jumped down from the stage.

Amethyst took Pearl's chin into her hand and moved it over to her but Pearl's eyes still moved over to Greg

Amethyst faltered her mood darkening

Steven stood next to the still shaped shifted Amethyst. "How could that not work? What are we missing?" Steven asked. Greg weakly clapped in despair but stopped as soon as he stopped though Pearl jumped in. "Dont worry! I can clap for you!" She said then started clapping. "Ah! What will make you stop serving me?!" Greg snapped. "As long as you exist I will serve you." Pearl explained.

"As long as you exist." Steven and Amethyst said in unison as Amethyst shaped shifted back into herself. "Thats the final piece. Mom disappeared!" Steven said going to his father. "Dad! I've got an idea." He started whispering the plan to Greg, Greg's face twisting with doubt.

"Are you sure? Aren't your powers messed up?" Greg asked. "I can at least try." Steven said. "But what about me? I've never-" Greg was cut off by Steven. "Come on, Dad. Let's duet." Steven said.

In a matter of seconds Greg and Steven were back stage with guitars. Steven looked at his clothed  gem. "Come on, powers, work with me here." Steven muttered before exhaling slowly. He looked at Greg and smiled, Greg smiled back.

The two played their guitars and then fused leaving a petrified pearl and a terrified Spinel. "Um Greg?!" "Steven?!" They both said. "Its a big ol universe out there, and when your gettin' crushed under the weight of the stars." Steg threw their jacket toward cotton candy Garnet. "Wha- where-" Pearl exclaimed in confusion. "Well sometimes you need that special someone, to remind you that your so much more." Steg winked at Pearl. "Wha..." Pearl looked at the fusion in confusion.

"Nothing, is holding you back now" steg looked at Pearl as she continued to look around for Greg.

Pearl looks down at her feet to see her foot tapping the ground in a rhythmic manner, she looked back up at Steg. Steg strums the twin guitar making himself and Pearl float.

Steg threw Pearl over the silhouette of the moon.

Pearl sang landing on the stage Amethyst joining the two. Garnet was cheering with the crowd while Spinel was petrified.

Pearl and Amethyst started to fly off into the sky steg joining them a second later

Spinel, Garnet, and Tigers eye, looked at them in awe as Steg sang.

Pearl started to reform then in a bright light she was now seen in her normal attire.

  steg sang as Amethyst and Pearl started to fuse putting the bunker in a blinding light for a few seconds then drain to reveal opal. She took a guitar out of her gem

lion came into the crowd and picked up Garnet before leaving taking up to the sky leaving Spinel alone after having lost Tigers eye.

Spinel felt a twist of sadness in her gem that made her reaching feel pathetic as the others flew into the night sky.

Steg looked at his gem, it was glowing that was a bad sign as he began to drop but Opal caught him and brought him back up

Independent together " Steg looked down at the injecter, the water was filling with bio poison.

As Steg fell they unfused with a 'aah!' And fell on the floor Steven looking more beat up than before. "You did it! Steven?"  Greg said, Steven couldn't hear, his ears were ringing profusely, he looked at Spinel right when Tigers eye layed her eyes on her after losing her in the crowd. Spinel backed away from Steven's stare, as tears welled up in her eyes, and in a split second, she ran.

"Wait." Steven said "Spinel!" Tigers eye and Steven yelped in unison. Tigers eye ran after Spinel, as Steven tried to get up.
