~ Chapter 3 ~

I eagerly watched on - hoping the boy would live.

I watched as the boy strategically moved around the sailing vessel - and I watched as he flew off into the far distance.

I let out a small breathe of relief and my breathe got caught in my throat again when I heard the classroom door swung open. I turned and looked over towards the door and saw the teacher come strolling back into the room - surly this isn't any coincidence!

And to prove my point further the teacher stared directly at me as if he knew what I had just witnessed. I would say pure madness but I'm sure he might call that reality.

The teacher then proceeded with the usual lesson and payed no attention to anyone in particular.

Whilst the teacher talked casually about Shakespeare, I heard a voice. Now that sounds something an insane person would say but I'm being completely honest - I can hear a voice. And this voice isn't from anyone in my class- no, it's something else.

"It's uncanny." I heard the little voice squeak.

I looked around the room, this is extremely annoying. All I wish is to carry on with this lesson and instead I'm being distracted by an annoying petite voice.

"It seems as though she doesn't know who he is?" The voice continued.

Okay, this voice is becoming extremely annoying.

I looked around my surrounding area again and looked up at the ceiling. And there was a little ball of light residing in the far corner of the room - on closer inspection I could make out a petite body, a small face, blonde hair and pixie wings. Was that really a fairy?

Is my mind really that childish?

I looked back down at the teacher and carried on listening to this small voices annoying chatter.

"She looks remarkably similar? why doesn't she remember? Was her mind wiped? What happened to our princess tiger lily?"

That last comment sent me overboard. I don't know why but I got severely annoyed with that accusation. I'm not a princess - I am not this supposed princess tiger Lily!

I quickly reacted to that comment and shouted out, "IM NOT PRINCESS TIGER LILY?!"

This made everyone in my class stop what they were doing and stare at me.

The teacher also turned and stared at me - he looked confused to say the least.

I slowly looked up at the ceiling and saw the small ball of light now moving rapidly.

I looked back at the teacher and saw anger cross his features, "don't interrupt my class again miss. Lily."

I looked at the teacher in anger, "my name is Delilah and not Lily, so stop calling me that!" I said as I stood up and stormed out of the room.

How dare he accuse me of being someone I am not! How dare that pixie thing speak as if I am that person!

Wait, why was there a pixie? Why am I going insane?

I walked down one of the corridors and sat myself on the floor - my back against the hard wall.

I rested my head in my hands and huffed until my mind drifted off into the unknown land.

Sea - covering for miles and miles, an island with a large mountain placed in the centre, vibrant greens scattered throughout the island, an area on the edge of the cliff.

What is this place?

Small huts full of colour scattered around the area on top of the cliff. Tribal type people danced around the fire which was placed directly in the middle of the room.

Where am i? who are these people?

I watched on as I flew around these tribal people and stopped when I saw the girl from my last 'vision' if that's what it can be called.

"hello Delilah." the voice stated merrily as she sat upon a throne overlooking the tribal people.

"I understand you are annoyed and frustrated. That can be expected." The girl stopped - the princess stopped looking at her tribe and looked directly at me.

"You might not understand just yet but you will, dear. For now you must understand you are meant for greater things-" the girl stood up and opened her arms up widely, directing her hands towards the tribal people, "you were destined to lead my people after my death."

Destined! dead! what is happening?

The girl looked back at me, "you were meant to lead my tribe - lead the land into a greater future. Now I fear I do not have much time but understand this dear, do not trust pirates only trust the boy named Peter Pan."

"The flying boy?!" I asked in disbelief. Was I not actually going insane?

"Yes dear. The flying boy - his name is Peter Pan and he will help you fulfil the destiny which I couldn't." The girl proceeded.

"Why couldn't you fulfil your destiny?" I asked the girl.

The girl looked back at her tribe, "I became jealous of a particular human girl and decided to go and live the life she had. She lived here - in this realm and she captured the heart of the one I could only dream of having. I guess you could say I became envious of the attention the human girl was getting. So I left."

I looked at the floor then back at the girl, "so you were a coward towards your own destiny."

The looked back at me, "something like that. But it's no longer about me - I made my choices and it landed me here, now you must choose - it's now about you, Delilah."

I looked at the floor, "Why me?" I felt a small tear slide, this is too much to expect from a child.

Yes I said child, for once I will choose this term because technically I still am. I've not grown up fully so I can still use the term.

I felt the girls hand rest on my cheek which made me look at her, "because you are my doppelgänger like I told you last time. It's now your destiny to lead my tribe and to be the person I could not."

I felt another tear slip, "what if I can't succeed in doing so? What if I don't want to choose this destiny?"

The girl sighed as her hand slipped away from my cheek, "thats up to you my dear but I'm afraid it might be a bit too late now - for the danger has now escalated and now the pirates are fast approaching."

I looked into the girls eyes with fear, "the pirate ship-" I gulped, "it's coming for me?"

The girl slowly nodded her head, "sadly."

The girl then took my hand, "your about to leave soon. Just remember to be wary of who you talk to and remember to trust the boy named Peter Pan."

I could feel my feet lift off of the ground, "what about pixies?" I yelled out.

The girl smiled, "their fine. They do as Peter wishes - and also remember to not grow up too quickly Delilah just like I told you last time."

My body then flew away and back into reality. Was that even reality back there?

Anyway, at least I know who to call that flying boy who I'm supposedly meant to trust, Peter Pan.
