Following a successful mission together as they were able to get Mako Reactor 3's blueprints and Shinra's big mech files, along with the fact that they are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend, things are looking great for the couple of the ex-SOLDIER and the precious bartender.

Y/N was still asleep in his bed until he heard knocking on his door, but he recognized the voice.

Tifa: Y/N? Babe?

Y/N: yeah?

Tifa: can I come in?

Y/N: sure, come on in

He smiled as his girlfriend came into his room and sat on his bed.

Tifa: how'd you sleep?

Y/N: slept well. I can say the same for you

Tifa: yeah

She smiled as she held his hand.

Y/N: is this real?

Tifa giggled as she stroked his cheek with her hand.

Tifa: it is

Y/N held her hand that was on his cheek.

Y/N: just last night we had a mission together and then we became official

The ex-SOLDIER said as he got closer to Tifa. He kissed her hand which made her blush.

Y/N: so we got some rest and relaxation today, what do you want to do?

Tifa: the town has a gym, we can go there and workout together

Y/N: sounds good to me, I'm curious on how you kept your physique

He said as he checked his girlfriend out, especially on her seriously toned six pack abs. He lightly poked her abs, making Tifa smirk.

Tifa: remember, I may be beautiful, but I'm also strong

Y/N smirked.

Y/N: I'm strong too, my Twin Stinger feels light on me now

Tifa giggled as she kissed his cheek.

Tifa: let's go to the bar and eat something before we go to the gym

Y/N: alright

Tifa: I'll wait for you outside

Tifa left his room, giving Y/N time to get ready.

Y/N got his weapons and met with Tifa outside. The couple made their way to Seventh Heaven to grab a little something to eat.

Y/N: did Cloud leave?

Tifa: yup, he's doing some odd jobs to earn some gil

Y/N: that's Cloud for you, you hire him, he wants his pay

Tifa giggled.

Tifa: yeah

Y/N: and me, I'm just looking for a second chance to be a good guy in the people's eyes; have I known Shinra's true intentions that they're destroying our home

Tifa: we will stop them, don't worry

Y/N nodded as the two reached Seventh Heaven. They went inside and Y/N took a seat while Tifa went to make some drinks.

Tifa: you think you can keep up when we're at the gym?

Y/N: are you proposing a challenge?

Tifa: a challenge to defeat an ex-SOLDIER? Yeah, I'm up for it

Y/N: alright then, what's the challenge?

Tifa: you want to go one on one with me?

Y/N: a SOLDIER never backs down from any contest

Tifa: well let's see how many pull-ups you can do... SOLDIER boy

Y/N's confidence went down a bit as he heard pull-ups. He recalled that he almost did not make it into SOLDIER because he has done the least pull-ups out of his entire class, but he was lucky that he passed the other physical examination tests to make it into the program.

Y/N: pull-ups?

Tifa: that's what I said clearly... pull-ups

The bartender smirked as she ran his hand on his arm.

Y/N: well uhh Tifa, there's something I need to tell you

Tifa: what is it?

Y/N: I almost did not make it into the SOLDIER program

Tifa: aww why?

Y/N: because I did the least pull-ups out of my entire class

Tifa: how about Cloud? Weren't you two in the same class together?

Y/N: Cloud did well, he looked at the pull-ups like it was nothing. He did better than me

Tifa: was there someone else who also did well?

Y/N: well there was one guy who did better than me and Cloud; he was the top of the class and a good friend of Cloud and I until...

Tifa: until what? What happened to him?

Y/N was silent for a moment as he recalled the fateful memory.

Y/N: Cloud and I found him all messed up... he didn't make it

Tifa: oh no...

Y/N: you know Cloud's Buster Sword?

Tifa: yeah

Y/N: it was passed over to Cloud by him, and Cloud swore to carry his legacy

Tifa: your friend is the reason why you and Cloud became who you are now

Y/N: he's in the Planet now, smiling down at us

Tifa smiled as she prepared two glasses of Cosmo Canyon with some eggs and bacon as their pre-workout meal.

After they finished their food and drink, the two got ready for their workout at the gym.

Tifa: let's go babe

Y/N: yup

The two left the bar and jogged their way to the gym. They reached the gym and saw a lot of people.

Tifa: wow, a lot of people here, huh

Y/N: let's keep close, babe

Tifa: yeah good point, but look the pull-up bars are clear for us to use

Y/N took a deep breath and nodded.

Y/N: let's do it

Tifa kissed him on the cheek and the two got up on the pull-up bars. Then they began as Tifa easily did one while Y/N struggled for a bit, but managed to do one.

Tifa easily did her pull-ups while Y/N slightly struggled and did pull-ups at a moderate pace.  After a minute and a half, they both got down from the bars as Y/N held his arms.

Tifa: didn't a break a sweat. How'd you do, Y/N?

Y/N: it hurts, but I did well

Tifa: come on SOLDIER boy, we just got started

Y/N: push ups next

Tifa: alright

The couple got in the push up position and proceeded to do their reps. The push ups were no problem for both of them as they did it at a quick pace. Y/N managed to defeat Tifa by 5 push ups.

Tifa: wow babe, you did more push ups than me

Y/N: everyone has their strong and weak points

While they worked out, some of the male patrons were checking out the bartender, but they instantly stopped as they saw the ex-SOLDIER with her, making the smart choice of not provoking and getting on his bad side.

After an hour, the two finished their workout and were ready to head back, but they will make a stop at their apartment building to wash up and change.

Tifa: I'm gonna wash up, you should too. Meet me at the bar when you're ready

Y/N: yeah, and then we can have some dinner later

Tifa smiled and nodded. Then the two got in their rooms to wash up.

(A few minutes later)

Y/N was all freshened up and wore his SOLDIER attire while he loaded up his weapons. He made a quick stop at the weapons store to refill the ammo for his dual pistols and throwing knives.

He left the store and continued his way to the bar.

As he walked, Y/N saw a platoon of Shinra guards bullying on a defenseless undercity resident. Y/N didn't tolerate it, so he stopped them.

Y/N: is this how you do your work, abusing your power?

Officer: stand back sir, this is official business

Y/N: might I ask, what did this gentleman do?

Officer: he was caught stealing some bread and fruits

Civilian: I only did it because I just need to feed my wife and son

Officer: no more excuses, you're coming with us

Y/N stepped in between to stop them.

Y/N: so a man feeding his family is considered a crime? How low can you Shinra scum can possibly go?

Officer: enough, turn around and put your hands up

Y/N slowly turned around and faced the civilan.

Y/N: don't worry, they won't hurt you, just stand behind me

The civilian nodded and kept still. As the officer attempted to apprehend Y/N, the ex-SOLDIER turned around and whipped out his dual pistols and fired at the platoon.

Y/N gunned down all the guards until none of them were left standing. He then turned to the civilian.

Y/N: you alright?

Civilian: yes, thank you sir

Y/N: you're okay now, go home to your family

The civilian nodded and went home while Y/N walked up to the bar and got in.

Tifa: hey babe, what kept you?

Y/N: some Shinra scum were harassing a poor man for stealing some food, but he did it just to feed his family

Tifa: oh, what did you do?

Y/N: I took care of them

Tifa smiled and stroked his cheek.

Tifa: pretty sure, everyone will see you as a hero

Y/N nodded.

Y/N: I smell something delicious

Tifa: that's our dinner, some steak and mashed potatoes

Y/N: wow impressive

Tifa: and of course...

She then whispered in his ear.

Tifa: Cosmo Canyon

Y/N shivered and blushed at her whisper. Then the couple sat down and ate their dinner.

(Minutes later)

Tifa and Y/N washed the dishes and then closed up the bar for the night. They walked to their apartment building hand in hand. They walked up to their floor and looked up at the night sky. Y/N wrapped his arm around Tifa, making her smile and melt while she laid her head on his shoulder.

Tifa: today was fun

Y/N: you got me in the pull-ups

Tifa: although you did more pushups than me

Y/N smirked and kissed her head. Then they turned to face each other as they leaned in and kiss each other on their lips.

Tifa: good night and sleep tight, babe

Y/N: sweet dreams too, babe

They kissed one more time before they got inside their rooms for the night.

Tifa felt all warm and loved as she laid in bed with a cute smile on her face. She then closed her eyes and fell asleep.

(With Y/N)

Y/N set his weapons on the table and laid in bed. His relationship with Tifa was blossoming like a beautiful flower while he feels happiness inside him. Then the ex-SOLDIER went to sleep for the night.
