(A few days later)

Y/N and Tifa's status is now at a mutual understanding after the two confessed their feelings for each other during their lunch date.

Tifa was at the bar happily humming the music that played on the jukebox while she washed the dishes. Cloud and Barret took notice of this.

Barret: hey Cloud, is Tifa alright?

Cloud: oh yeah she is, and I know why

Tifa continued to hum and smile as she handed the Avalanche members their drinks.

Cloud: Tifa, care to fill in Barret on things?

Barret: yeah, what's going on with you?

Tifa: oh I'm just happy that's all

Cloud: I know why

Barret: just fill me in

Tifa: well guys, Y/N and I had a lunch date a few days ago

Barret: oh a date huh? Well well

Cloud: what happened?

Tifa: we had burgers and fries, Y/N is a really good cook

Cloud: huh, never knew Y/N can cook

Tifa: he's a good cook

Barret: alright, what else happened?

Tifa blushed heavily as she is about to tell everything to her friends.

Tifa: I... I confessed my feelings to him; Y/N also confessed his feelings to me

Barret smirked and proceeded to hum the victory tune.

Cloud: wow! I'm happy for you two

Tifa: well we're not together yet

Cloud: well, that will happen soon

Barret: and Cloud, I have an idea for Tifa and Y/N

Cloud: what?

Barret: well, let's just wait for Y/N to arrive

The party waited for a few minutes until Y/N came in to see everyone.

Y/N: good morning everyone

Tifa: Y/N!

Y/N: hey beautiful

He winked at her, making Tifa blush.

Y/N: so, what's going on?

Barret: you and Tifa are going on a mission together

Y/N a mission together?

He smirked as Tifa blush even more.

Tifa: just the two of us?

Barret: that's right

Y/N: what's the objective, boss?

Barret: Mako Reactor 3's design and structure blueprints

Cloud: we got intel from Biggs, the blueprints are guarded by Shinra's special task force, the Turks

Y/N: who are the ones to watch out for?

Barret: two Turks in particular, Reno and Rude

Y/N: those two always slipped through my fingers when I was close

Cloud: well this may be your chance, man

Y/N: alright, infiltrate another Shinra base, grab the reactor blueprints and get the hell out of there

Tifa: we got this Y/N

She said as Tifa held Y/N's hand.

Y/N: the two of us will get this done

Tifa smiled and nodded.

Cloud: while you two are out; Barret and I will put together a plan with the others

Y/N: alright man

Tifa: let's do this, Y/N

Y/N: yeah

Cloud: you two be careful

Tifa: don't worry, we will

Y/N and Tifa nodded at each other as they left the bar to travel to the Shinra-Turk base.

(A few minutes later)

The two approached a huge building that is heavily guarded with a metal fence surrounding it.

Tifa: is that it?

Y/N then saw a helicopter landing on top of the building.

Y/N: that has to be it

Tifa: let's go

Y/N: wait, two armed guards at the door

Tifa: and there's no way of climbing that wall

Y/N: let me handle the guards

Y/N grabbed two throwing knives from his belt; he aimed and then threw the knives, nailing the two guards on target, much to Tifa's amazement.

Tifa: you have skills, ba- I mean Y/N

Y/N smirked.

Y/N: I aim to please

Tifa: come on

The two hid the bodies in a dumping bin and Y/N used his hidden blade to unlock the gate for them to go inside.

The courtyard was clear, but Y/N saw a security camera. The ex-SOLDIER took care of it by shooting it down with his pistol. Tifa admired his swiftness as the two infiltrate the building.

Tifa: look, two more guards up ahead

Y/N: I see them

Y/N scanned the area and saw a scaffolding.

Tifa: I provide the distraction, you drop in

Y/N nodded as he proceeds to climb up the scaffolding. As he climbed up, the two guards saw Tifa.

Guard: who are you? You don't belong here

Tifa got in her fighting position, but before the guards can aim their guns, Y/N dropped in and took out the guards with a double assassination.

Tifa blushed as Y/N stood up and smirked at her.

Y/N: impressed?

Tifa: oh I am

Y/N: let's go

The two continued their way as they're hunting for the reactor blueprints.

Y/N: I feel the fifth floor has the blueprints

Tifa: but we got to watch out for the Turks

Y/N: yeah, but we got this

Tifa nodded and the two continued their way up to the building's fifth floor.

Meanwhile, the Turks high ranking members Reno and Rude were ordering a platoon of Shinra guards.

Reno

Rude

Reno: make sure that none of Avalanche get to the plans, I need two of you to guard the door

Guard: yes sir!

Rude: this door leads to the office containing the blueprints, am I understood?

Guard: sir yes sir!

Reno: the rest of you, scout the area

The rest of the platoon disperse and went to their posts to be ready for any attack.

(Back with Y/N and Tifa)

As Tifa and Y/N continued their way up, they saw more guards.

Y/N: hmm, looks like they're prepared for us

Tifa: it's gonna be Reno and Rude

Y/N: yeah

Tifa: ready for a fight?

Y/N: always

Tifa: set me up

Y/N: got it

The two ran and approached a squad of guards. Y/N knelt down for Tifa to use him as a boost. Tifa jumped and took down one of the guards with a dive kick.

Y/N shot one of the guards with his pistol and took down another one with his Twin Stinger sword. Tifa fought off the last guard and finished him off with a Whirling Uppercut.

Y/N: keep those gloves up

Tifa: I got you

The two continued their way up as they fought off more Shinra guards. The loud commotion was noticed by Reno and Rude.

Reno: what the hell was that?!

Rude: let's check it out

The two high ranking Turk members ran to the source of the commotion.

(Meanwhile)

Y/N and Tifa slashed, shot and punched their way through the heavily armed platoon of guards. They then stopped at a metal door.

Y/N: this has to be the room where the blueprints are

Tifa: let me try to get in while you scout

Y/N: gotcha

While Tifa was attempting to crack the combination, Y/N heard metal dragging along the floor. As the sound got closer, Y/N turned around shielded himself using his Twin Stinger as Reno tried to ambush him.

Reno: ooh, nice anticipation there... Y/N

Y/N: Reno...

Tifa stood side by side with Y/N and got her fists up.

Reno: you didn't think I come alone, did you?

The red haired Turk said as his partner Rude dropped in and cracked his knuckles.

Y/N: Rude...

Reno: Heidegger had a feeling you two were coming

Y/N: so it seems the director sent his lapdogs to do his dirty work

Reno: he pays top gil for the Turks

Y/N: such a waste of money

Tifa: enough talk, let's take care of these guys

Rude was a bit hesitant since he's standing  face to face with Tifa, but he stands with his partner and got his fists up.

Reno smirked and chuckled as he taps his weapon, a nightstick taser on the floor as sparks fly on impact.

Reno: you hear that? It's your end

Reno was referring to an army of incoming Shinra guards.

Reno: we love to stick around, but our ride is here

The Shinra-Turk helicopter that was on the roof was piloted and flew on where Reno and Rude are.

Reno: catch you guys later

The two high ranking Turks got in the helicopter and made their get away.

As the helicopter flew away, the army of Shinra officers found the two Avalanche members and surrounded them.

Tifa: there's got to be 50 of them, we're trapped

Y/N: I'll get us out of this, Tifa

Y/N put his Twin Stinger on his back and acts like he is surrendering. The guards slowly put their weapons down, but that was a small window of opportunity for Y/N to get his dual pistols and started to rain lead on the soldiers.

Tifa joined and leveled five guards with her Omnistrike shoulder tackle.

Y/N gunned down more than a third of the army and then took care of the rest using his Twin Stinger to attack and defend.

Tifa and Y/N nodded at each other, and the ex-SOLDIER got in position for Tifa to use him as a step to launch for her dive kick on the last guard.

Tifa: is that all?

Y/N: looks like it 

Tifa: alright, let's get those blueprints

The two went back to the metal door and they saw that they need a keycard.

Tifa: see a keycard lying around?

Y/N: oh there's one

The ex-SOLDIER picked up a keycard from one of the officers. The card swiped and the door opened.

Y/N: the desk must have it

Tifa went to the desk to search for the reactor blueprints. Y/N looked through the filing cabinets to search for any additional clues Avalanche can use.

Tifa: got the blueprints

Y/N: great, and look what I found, files on the big Shinra mechs or what Heidegger calls them, the exterminators.

Y/N showed Tifa the files containing the big heavy Shinra mechs such as the Scorpion Sentinel, the Crab Warden, the Airbuster and the aerial Valkyrie.

Tifa: these are vital clues, let's bring them to Barret

Y/N: yeah, let's go

The two successfully escaped the building before any reinforcements came.

Tifa: that was a success

Y/N: yeah, and we did it together

Tifa smiled and blushed a bit. Then the two headed back to Sector 7 to report to Barret and Cloud of their findings.

Cloud: Barret, they're back

Barret: did you get them?

Tifa: right here

She set the blueprints on the table

Y/N: along with these too

He took and set the folder on the table.

Cloud: what's in the folder?

Y/N: files and plans on Shinra's big heavy mechs

Tifa: and we did ran into Reno and Rude

Y/N: but they got away before we got a hit on him

Barret: damn cowards

Cloud: we'll get them soon

Barret: anyways, good job you two, we'll look through these and set the mission

Cloud: you do that, I'm gonna go look for work to earn some extra profit

Barret: Y/N, Tifa; you two can take a rest

Y/N and Tifa nodded as Barret went down to Avalanche's secret HQ to let the other members know.

(Later)

After hours of rest, Tifa and Y/N left the bar for the night and walked back to their apartment building with Y/N's arm around Tifa's shoulder, knowing that they're comfortable with each other's company and that their status is a mutual understanding. 

Y/N: well our first mission together was a success

Tifa: we really worked well together

Y/N smiled and stroked her chin with his thumb, making Tifa blush. The bartender had her feelings running wild in her. Tifa wants to go to the next level.

Tifa: well after all that running, we should get some rest now

Y/N: yeah I agree

Tifa: but I want to tell you something, Y/N

Y/N: you can tell me anything Tifa, what's on your mind?

Tifa: w-well, uhh...

Y/N: take a deep breath and collect your thoughts

Tifa took a deep breath and nodded.

Tifa: I really like you Y/N, and I want to show you how

Y/N: hmm?

Tifa was blushing heavily, but she got all of her confidence; she put her hands on Y/N's cheeks and leaned in to kiss him on the lips.

Y/N was surprised, but he kissed Tifa back while he puts his hands on her hips while his mind also knew that the next level is now.

As the two pulled back, Y/N asked the big question.

Y/N: Tifa... will you be my girlfriend?

Tifa smiled and kissed his cheek as she gives him her answer.

Tifa: yes I will

She wrapped herself around the ex-SOLDIER for a warm and loving hug. Y/N smiled and gave Tifa a loving kiss on her forehead, now that two are official.

Tifa: sleep tight Y/N

Y/N: sweet dreams too... babe

He winked at her.

Tifa: oh you

She giggled as she went inside her room for the night to get some sleep. Y/N also went inside his room for the night.

The ex-SOLDIER set his weapons on the table and then laid on bed with a smile on his face as reality came to him, that Tifa Lockhart is officially his girlfriend.

Y/N rested his eyes and went to sleep for the night.
