One day after Avalanche's successful mission of bringing down Mako Reactor 2, Barret has rewarded everyone with rest and relaxation, that means Y/N has a lunch date with Tifa.

The ex-SOLDIER got out of bed and got his weapons. Y/N left his apartment room and went to the weapons store to load up on ammo for his dual pistols. The weapons owner saw the ex-SOLDIER and approached him.

Owner: hey there, I remember, you're that merc right?

Y/N: yes sir

Owner: I have something that you may use for your arsenal

Y/N: what do you have, sir?

Owner: in case you run out of ammo for your pistols, I have a set throwing knives; they're lethal at long range

Y/N: ooh interesting, I'll take a set please

Owner: alright thank you

Y/N bought the throwing knives and he continued his way around the slums. The ex-SOLDIER noticed something the undercity residents barely see, a fresh grown yellow flower. 

Y/N gently plucked it using his hidden blade and put it on his uniform as he continued walking.

As Y/N made his way to Seventh Heaven, he saw Cloud coming out of the bar.

Y/N: where you going man?

Cloud: just going around the slums, so you can have your time

Cloud said as he pointed at the door to the bar.

Y/N: Tifa and I will have a lunch date later, and I... want to confess to her

Cloud: you like her, huh?

Y/N: I do, I'm always happy when I'm around her

Cloud: I don't remember the last time when you felt so happy, man

Y/N: before I found out Shinra's intentions when we were SOLDIER

Cloud: oh right, but you have a source of happiness now

Y/N smirked and nodded.

Y/N: I'm gonna confess to Tifa, Cloud

Cloud: you do you man, and do me a favor

Y/N: what is it?

Cloud: take care of Tifa and keep her happy

Y/N nodded.

Y/N: that is a promise

Cloud: alright man, I'll see you around

He said as he patted his best friend's back as Cloud went on his way. Then Y/N went inside the bar and saw that Tifa was already there.

Y/N smiled at the beautiful and precious sight in front of him.

Y/N: hey there

Tifa turned around and smiled as she saw Y/N.

Tifa: hey Y/N, did you catch enough sleep?

Y/N: yeah, blowing up a Mako Reactor makes me tired 

The ex-SOLDIER looked around and noticed a jukebox.

Y/N: is your jukebox working?

Tifa: yeah, it should be

Y/N: let's play some music to set the atmosphere

Tifa: play anything you want while I finish washing these dishes

Y/N nodded and went to the jukebox and looked through the choices until he found a song title that caught his eye. The title of the song is called, "The Star of Seventh Heaven."

Y/N: hmm... let's play this

He inserted a coin and the jukebox started to play the music. The tune sounds calm and relaxing.

Tifa: oh that is a great choice, it sounds so relaxing

Y/N: yeah, I like it

Tifa: grab a seat, ba- I mean Y/N

Y/N smirked as he grabbed his seat as he noticed Tifa's blushing cheeks.

Y/N: you're cute when you blush, Tifa

Tifa: oh stop it you

Tifa giggled as she dried off the dishes. As she turned around, she noticed the flower on Y/N's chest.

Tifa: where'd you get that? I can't remember the last time I saw a real one

Y/N removed the flower from his chest and handed it to Tifa, making her blush a bit.

Tifa: how sweet, when did you get so thoughtful?

Y/N: well I... it's how I am

Tifa giggled as she rubs his arm; she put the flower in a vase full of water and set it on the table.

Y/N: you said I can help you cook for our lunch date

Tifa: oh right, thanks for reminding me; yeah, you can help peel these potatoes

Y/N: alright

He went behind the bar and stood beside Tifa.

Tifa: go ahead

Y/N got one of his throwing knives and used it to peel the potatoes.

Tifa: oh where did you get the knives?

Y/N: I bought them at the weapons store as an upgrade in case my pistols run out of ammo

Tifa: ooh that is nice

Y/N smiled as he continues to peel the potatoes.

Tifa: those look good to go

Y/N: alright

Tifa: you can season the beef and shape them into patties while I chop these vegetables because we're having burgers and fries for our date

Y/N: alright, that sounds good

Tifa: let's get to work

Y/N: okay, you can use my knife

Tifa: thanks

Y/N seasoned the beef with salt, pepper and herbs while Tifa chopped the vegetables. As Tifa chopped the tomatoes, a drop of juice landed on her cheek.

Tifa: oops

Y/N: oh Tifa, you got some tomato juice on your cheek

Y/N gently wiped the juice off her cheek using his thumb.

Y/N there you are

Tifa: thanks Y/N

She said as she blushed.

Y/N: no problem

The ex-SOLDIER shaped and formed the beef into two patties.

Y/N: I can cook these now?

Tifa: yeah go ahead, the stove is over there

Y/N nodded and grabbed a frying pan and put some oil on it. After a few seconds, the oil was hot and the ex-SOLDIER proceeded to cook the burgers. Tifa smiled and admired Y/N as she watches him cook.

While he cooked, Tifa went to make a shot glass of Cosmo Canyon for him. 

She then grabbed the buns and waited for Y/N to finish cooking.

After a few minutes, the burgers were done cooking.

Y/N: burgers are done, and oh I see a shot of Cosmo Canyon

Tifa: you deserved it and those burgers smell good, when did you learn to cook like that?

Y/N: been cooking since I was a kid; I have skills

Tifa smiled as she took the patties and put the burgers together while Y/N seasoned and cooked the fries.

After a few minutes, the fries were done cooking and the food was already set on the plates.

Tifa: you can put them on the table, I still have the drinks to make

Y/N: that's your specialty

Tifa: indeed it is

Y/N went back to his seat and watched Tifa making two drinks for the both of them. She poured the cocktail in two small glasses and served them.

Y/N: this looks great

Tifa: well because we helped each other

Y/N smiled as he looked at her beautiful ruby red eyes. Tifa blushed as she stared into his Mako colored eyes. Then the two regained their senses.

Tifa: let's eat now

Y/N: yeah

The two proceeded to chow down on their burgers and fries.

Tifa: mmh, this burger is good! You did a great job Y/N

Y/N smiled.

Y/N: thanks Tifa

As they ate, the two had ketchup and mayonnaise smeared on their cheek.

Tifa: you got some ketchup and mayo on you there

Y/N: you too

Tifa: here let me wipe that for you

She said as she took a piece of napkin and gently wiped his cheek clean.

Tifa: there you go

Y/N: my turn

He smiled as he took another piece of napkin and wiped Tifa's cheek clean, making her smile.

Tifa: thank you

As the two finished their food, the two smiled at each other while they blushed lightly. In their minds, they liked each other, but a bit shy to confess; however, with the two of them all alone while the jukebox plays the music, this is the time for them to confess.

Tifa: Y/N...

Y/N: Tifa...

Tifa: oh, you can go first

Y/N: no no no, y-you can go first

Tifa blushed and nodded; she took a deep breath and nodded.

Tifa: Y/N, ever since you came to Midgar, I became attracted to you

Y/N's eyebrows raised as he listened to Tifa letting her heart out.

Tifa: your skills in combat, your charm and personality is what made me feel for you. I really like you Y/N, I really do

Tifa smiled as she put her hand on top of his. Y/N blushed and was speechless as he clearly heard Tifa confess her feelings for him.

Y/N: Tifa... when I first saw you and Cloud introduced me to you, I was blown away on how beautiful, strong and precious you are

Tifa smiled and blushed at Y/N's compliment.

Y/N: Tifa... I feel the same way, I really like you too

He smiled as he stared into her ruby red eyes and then took her hand and kissed it, making the precious bartender blush even more. The relaxing music gave Y/N an idea.

Y/N: Tifa, may I have this dance?

Tifa smiled and giggled.

Tifa: you may

Y/N and Tifa went to the middle of the bar's dining room; the two held each other's hand. Y/N's other hand was on her hip while Tifa's other hand was on his shoulder.

The two swayed and danced to the music while they stared into each other's eyes and smiled. As the music ended, the two touched their foreheads together before they hugged each other.

As they pulled back, Y/N gave Tifa a kiss on her forehead, making her smile and melt.

The two spent the rest of the day feeling comfortable in each other's company.

As night came, the two walked to their apartment building holding each other's hands. Then they went to their floor.

Tifa: I really had fun today Y/N; you've got a lot of hidden talents

Y/N: I'm full of surprises

Tifa giggled. Then she gave Y/N a good night deep kiss on his cheek, making the ex-SOLDIER melt. 

Tifa: sleep tight Y/N

Y/N: you too Tifa. Good night

She smiled and rubbed her hands on his cheeks and gives one more kiss  to his cheek before she goes into her room with a smile on her face.

Y/N went in and set his weapons down and then went to bed. With his feelings for Tifa now known to her and a mutual understanding formed between them. Y/N went to sleep for the night with a confident smile on his face.
