Y/N was in focus mode as he and his best friend Cloud Strife prepared themselves for another mission as members of Avalanche, the eco-terrorist group rebelling against the megacorporation Shinra and their selfish deeds.

Y/N remembered the moment he saw Cloud impaling Sephiroth with Zack's Buster Sword, seemingly ending him; he also recalled the night Sephiroth leveled the village of Nibelheim after knowing his true origins as a Shinra experiment and his mother, the alien Jenova while at the same time, knowing Shinra's true motives as they are on the hunt for the Promised Land while killing the Planet by absorbing its energy source called Mako. 

Cloud: hey, you alright man?

Y/N: huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine

Cloud: I know what you saw; Sephiroth, Shinra's true colors; all of that is done now, we got to protect the Planet

Y/N: right, so any orders from the big man?

Cloud: we blew up Mako Reactor 1, so guaranteed any heavy security; Barret ordered us to go find the blueprints so we can locate the reactor's weak spot

Y/N: and that is where we set up the bombs to explode

Cloud: exactly

Y/N: the blueprints are located at a Shinra military base

Cloud: that is no problem for us

Y/N: we're here

Y/N put on his Assassin style hood and got his weapons ready, which were a hidden blade on his left arm, dual pistols and a two-handed sword like Cloud's signature Buster Sword. Y/N's sword was called the Twin Stinger.

The two Avalanche members arrived at the military base and scouted for any Shinra officers and guards.

Y/N: riot troopers over there, grenadiers and sentry guns stationed on the roof and towers

Cloud: a lot of guard dogs as well

Y/N: wait... 

He zoomed in on the binoculars.

Y/N: damn, a Street Sweeper mech

Cloud: that's no problem for us

Y/N: I got my materia set in my Twin Stinger

Cloud: alright, let's go

The two went to infiltrate the base without getting caught by Shinra forces. Y/N destroyed all the security cameras with his silent pistols as they have silencers on the barrels. Y/N nodded at Cloud as the two snuck around the base.

Y/N: where's the blueprints?

Cloud: officer's quarters

Y/N: okay, let's go

As the two continued to roam around the base, they were caught by a squad of officers along with some riot troopers and guard dogs.

Guard: swords on the ground and put your hands in the air!

Y/N smirked as he turned to Cloud.

Y/N: ready for a fight?

Cloud: always

The two drew their big swords and engaged in a fight with the enemies. With their elemental materias applied into their weapons and armor, they easily finished off the squad with fire spells.

Cloud: that's that

Y/N: didn't break a sweat, a bit disappointed because I wanted more

Cloud: you'll get more, come on, let's get the blueprints

The two located the officers' quarters and Y/N shot the hinges with his pistols and kicked the door down. Y/N scanned the area and saw a sentry gun.

Y/N: wait! Sentry gun in the area, it's guarding the blueprints

Cloud: I'll distract it, you destroy it

Y/N: roger

Cloud went in and provided a distraction as the sentry gun scanned him and shot a lot of rounds. Y/N successfully got behind the gun and destroyed it with his hidden blade.

Y/N: there

Cloud: alright now for the blueprints

The two obtained the blueprints showing the detailed area of Mako Reactor 2.

Cloud: weak spot is here, expect a lot of guards

Y/N: alright, let's get out of here before any reinforcements show up

Cloud nodded and the two Avalanche members escaped, but they were spotted by a guard on a tower.

Guard: intruders at the base field, send backup now!

Y/N: oh crap

Cloud: quick, to those motorcycles!

Y/N: go go go!

The two ran towards the vehicles as a platoon of guards came running after them. Cloud and Y/N got on the motorcycles and sped away as the officers shoot their rifles.

(Meanwhile)

Cloud and Y/N drove to Midgar, a city ran on Mako, the planet's energy source. Though Y/N and Cloud were disgusted by the over use of Mako, Midgar was their only option for a hiding spot and the city's slums offered the best hiding place for Avalanche. The group's hiding spot was in the slums of Sector 7.

Cloud called on Barret to let him know that they have successfully obtained the blueprints. He then noticed discomfort from his best friend.

Y/N: I don't like it here Cloud, there's so much pollution and barely any sunlight comes down here

Cloud: I know it's not much, but don't worry, it will be over soon; come on, I'll show you where Barret and the others are gathered

Y/N: okay, where at?

Cloud: a cool bar called Seventh Heaven

Y/N: Seventh Heaven, huh? Alright lead the way

Cloud: follow me and stay close

Cloud led Y/N through the crowded slums. Then after a few minutes of walking around, they located the bar.

Cloud: my childhood friend Tifa owns this bar, she is a nice girl; you should meet her

Y/N: alright

Cloud: let's go man

The two went inside the bar where they saw the other members of Avalanche: Jessie, Biggs and Wedge. Then the two were greeted by the leader, Barret Wallace.

Barret: glad to see you two made it back in one piece, you got the blueprints?

Cloud: yup right here

Barret: alright, let's see what they have; Y/N go get yourself some little R&R, you earned it

Y/N: thank you sir

Barret: hey, cut the formalities out man; you can just call me Barret

Y/N: sorry Barret, just got used to all of it after my time as a SOLDIER

Barret: no worries man, go get yourself a drink

Y/N nodded and went to the bar while Cloud and Barret reviewed the blueprints. Y/N took a seat at the table and fixed his hidden blade gauntlet until he was greeted by someone. That someone was none other than the owner of Seventh Heaven, Tifa Lockhart.

Tifa: hi, you must be Y/N

Y/N was drawn back a bit seeing how beautiful, cute and precious Tifa is, but he regained his composure.

Y/N: yes I am, and you must be Tifa; Cloud mentioned that you own this bar

Tifa: yes I do

Y/N: wow, I'm impressed

Tifa smiled and giggled.

Tifa: so then! What can I get you?

Y/N: just a glass of one of your cocktails please

Tifa nodded and went to prepare the drink while Y/N waited. However his eyes shifted to Tifa as he admired her.

Cloud: like what you see?

Y/N: man, don't sneak up on me like that

Cloud chuckled. Then the two friends whispered a conversation to themselves.

Y/N: Cloud, I didn't know your childhood friend was...

Cloud: in great shape? Yeah, I know

Y/N: well... not only that, she's also...

Cloud: hot and pretty?

Y/N: well... yeah...

Cloud: hmm, after all those years as a SOLDIER, you never settled down, huh?

Y/N: oh real funny, Strife

Cloud: just messing with you man; how about this, since I have a reputation here at the slums, why don't you do the same? You can help Tifa with errands if she has any while getting to know her

Y/N: sounds like a great idea

Cloud: Barret will need a few days to come up with a plan to infiltrate the reactor since he is still reviewing the blueprints

Y/N: alright, now my mission is to build up my reputation

Cloud: all you man, and your drink is ready

Tifa: here you go, one of our famous drinks here

Y/N paid in gil as he took a sip on the drink.

Tifa: how is it?

Y/N: not too strong and it meets my taste

Tifa smiled.

Tifa: glad you liked it

As Y/N finished his drink, Cloud took the opportunity to mess with his friend.

Cloud: Tifa, why don't you show him where he can stay for now?

Tifa: oh sure, I love to!

Tifa smiled while Y/N sat all confused and flustered as Cloud smirked and gave him a thumbs up.

Tifa: come on, let me show you where you can stay

Y/N: a-alright

The two exited the bar as Cloud watched on with a smirk.

(Meanwhile)

As Y/N walked around with Tifa, he looked around the state the people were in living under a roof that could collapse on them at any moment. He turned his attention back to Tifa as she leads him to an apartment building.

Tifa: here we are, this is where you will live for the mean time; don't worry about rent, the landlady is a friend to our cause

Y/N: oh wow, free place to live

Tifa giggled.

Tifa: yup; come on, let me show you to your room

Y/N: right behind you

The two went upstairs to the second floor of the building.

Tifa: room 201 is where I sleep and room 202 is where Cloud sleeps

Y/N: ah I see

Then Tifa opened a third door.

Tifa and here is your room, 203; it's not much, but all the remodeling is up to you

Y/N: this will do for now

Tifa: great, go ahead and make yourself comfortable

Y/N: thanks Tifa

Tifa: it's no problem; good night Y/N

Y/N: good night Tifa

Tifa smiled as she left and went to her room to catch some sleep. Y/N did the same as he set his Twin Stinger to the side and his dual pistols on the table. He laid down on his bed and slowly went to sleep as his mind kept thinking about Tifa and her cute and sweet personality.
