Stiles and Katie were born only seventeen minutes apart. Noah and Claudia hadn't been prepared for twins at first, and even worried that they might not get along - Claudia never got along that well with her sister, no matter how close in age they were. But, when Stiles' upset wails quieted the moment Katie was born, they knew they wouldn't have anything to worry about. From the very beginning, the two were as close as can be, even demanding to have a shared room with bunk beds until they were eight (and then their mom died, and everything changed.) They had a special connection, almost like they could read each-others minds or feel what the other is feeling. When one was upset, the other came running.

The Stilinski twins did everything together, and gladly accepted Scott McCall into their bond. He was a brief calm to their storm, and they became inseparable very quickly. Then when they're sixteen, they go searching for a body in the woods, and everything changes. Scott becomes a werewolf, new hunters move into town, and Beacon Hills becomes much more dangerous than ever before. Katie takes it all in stride, easily adapting to her new life, and the secrets that came along with it. As long as she and Stiles were together, there wasn't much they couldn't figure out - they were smart, careful, and had a lot of red string.

Katie is many things, but a fighter has never been one of them. Thrown into a world she is still trying to understand the rules to, Katie soon finds that she'll have to change along with everyone else, or be left behind - or left to die.
