MANNAT

Cabir-( confusingly) Mannat? Our hotel?

Aarav- yeah, that's the only place named mannat right?

Nandini- But how can they keep them there? That place always has hustle bustle.

Manik-(slowly) it's not hotel. I know that place.

Then he turned towards Officers and loudly said- it's in outskirts of Mumbai. Me and karan found it few months back and he named it mannat cause there, fireflies and stars both are found. But It's a kind of cliff...there is no hiding spot where a kidnapping or any illegal activity can take place.

Officer- Mr Malhotra then karan must be indicating a place which is near mannat. We should go and check as you have said there is a cliff then it must be a isolated area right?

Manik-(hurriedly) yes yes. It's road towards jungle and at the end of the road there is cliff which we named mannat.

Cabir- then they must have hide myrah and karan on that road only. There must be some kind of factory or house Manik?

Manik-(rubbing his forehead) I don't remember.

Nandini-( crying) we should go and check there manii.. you saw na how badly karan is bleeding, we have to get them as soon as possible.

Manik-(cupping her cheeks) I promise Jaan, Mai karan and myrah ko leke aaunga. Aap ko bharosa Hai na mujh par?

(I promise Jaan, I'll bring karan and myrah with me. You trust me right?)

Nandini-(nodding in yes) I do. Punish them manii...punish them brutally.

Manik-(determined) I will.

Abhi- we should go there guys. Nandini, you reach your hospital and get ward ready. We have to treat karan as soon as possible.
Navya, Varun,ishita bhabhi and mrudula you guys go with her too.

Raj uncle, neyonika aunty and aradhya , you guys stay at home, we will drop myrah home so that you can take care of her.

Mukti- I will come with you Abhi.

Manik-(glaring) no you won't. You and your friends has created enough problems for us.

Cabir-Mukti stay here please. Till then me,Abhi, Manik and ram will go with officers.

Aarav-I'm also coming.

Manik- no buddy you don't-

Aarav-(cutting him) please dad, I can't sit here when my best friend and princess is there.

Ram-let him come Manik.

Everyone nodded and soon started going for their respective works when mrudula holds Manik's shirt from back and very innocently asked

Mrudula- ( with tears in her eyes) you will bring back karan to me na? I can't live without him appa. Please bring both of them back safely.

Manik-(kissing her forehead) Within 24 hours your karan will be with you kiddo.

Manik's POV- hold on little more champ. I'll soon get you and my princess.

Nandini's POV- just little more baby, you completed your responsibilities as a brother now it's our turn.

Karan was laying on floor almost unconscious while myrah was given sleeping drugs so she was fast asleep.

Dhruv- what are we going to do now pandit? Why are you not beating him more?

Pandit- (angrily) so that he dies before I want him to? Already you dumheads injured him more than it was required. He should suffer Dhruv and he will. If he will suffer, then only manik and Nandini will feel that pain which I felt years ago.

Aliya-what about myrah? Why did you kidnapped her if you don't want to kill her?

Pandit-once karan will die, Manik will go crazy. We have to move out of the country as soon as possible and for that we have to keep myrah with us, then only manik Will be little bit sane thinking about her little princess who is still alive. Once we are safe, we can let myrah go to her dearest daddy.

Dhruv- ( smiling brightly) finally. Finally I will win over that Manik Malhotra.

They all laughed like total creeps sitting in one room from where they were able to see both karan and myrah from CCTV Cameras.

Karan's pov

Pain, helplessness,anger. That's what I can feel right now. My whole body is on fire. These injuries are making me feel as if I'll die next moment. Maybe I will...but I have to stay alive...stay alive till the time dad is here to get myrah. I can't leave her alone with these devils.
Please God...you never listened to me...you never give me happiness, but please just for once let my prayers be answered. Let me stay alive till anyone from my family comes and rescues myrah. You can't let something bad happen to that poor soul. Please. You already snatched mannat from mom dad, now I'll be gone too, you can't snatched myrah too from them. Mom believes in you alot, you can't disappoint her. I just hope anyone from family gets to know the hint I gave them. MANNAT. It's the same place where me and dad went few months back. A cliff where there are so many fireflies around. A place where stars and fireflies meet. I thought we will celebrate mom-dad's 25 anniversary there but I don't think so I'll be able to become a part of it. When they kidnapped me, I got conscious for a while and saw its the same road, at the end of this road only a cliff is there.

Nandini reached hospital with others and soon started shouting at her workers asking them to make O.T ready. They don't know how many injuries Karan has got but her intuition was saying they might need O.T. for him. She was also calling the pediatrician for myrah.

Everyone else were settled in nandini's cabin and was praying to God to keep both karan and myrah safe.

Nandini was breaking bit by bit but she knew it's not the time to give up. Her children needs them right now and she has to be strong for them. She won't let anyone harm her children. She always felt proud of her profession but today she was feeling as if being a doctor was one of the best decision of her life.

She was determined to save her child's life no matter what happens. She was confident enough that her Manik will get her children to her and she will be able to treat them. She will, no matter what. She trust herself, her Manik and most importantly she trust her aiyaapppa. They won't let her down.

Other side pandit was smoking cigarette sitting in that house where they have kept Karan and myrah when a loud bang was heard and next moment he knew his all goons were laying dead. He could hear gunshots and as he saw on his CCTV, he could see Manik with officers has already entered inside.

Dhruv-(running inside) pandit,Manik is here. He will kill of us, let's run from here.

Pandit-(shouting aggressively) how can this be possible dammit? How did he get to know? I won't let him win this time..I won't.

Saying this he entered inside the room where myrah was fast asleep and karan was whimpering in pain.

Aliya who was with dhruv said- Dhruv, let's run from here. Manik won't leave us. Let's run.

Dhruv-you are right, come.

Saying this he turned back but soon got a punch and he falls back and his head got banged with glass table present there.

Seeing the face of person who punched him, dhruv and aliya lost their senses. They were shivering in fear and were regretting their decisions.

Aliya-(scaredly) manik...Manik...listen

Manik-(shouting) shut the fuck up Aliya or else I will bury you alive right here.

A lady constable came and slapped Aliya tightly and got hold of her making her shout in fear.

Manik moves in froward and kept on beating Dhruv.

Manik-(angrily) I told you...I told you don't think of harming my family and you bloody beat my son? MY SON????  I will kill you bastard. I'll make you regret your whole existence. Tell me where is my children, tell me.

Dhruv-(coughing badly) inside that room. Pandit went there as soon as he saw you guys coming. Trio are there only.

Ram- manik leave him, we have to save Karan and myrah first.

They all entered inside and saw the most dreadful scene.
Pandit was holding karan from his collars who was bleading badly. He was not even able to stand on his own feet. His whole weight was on pandit who was looking furious.

Aarav, Abhi with 2 officers went towards back gate to get myrah who was laying on floor unconscious/alseep while manik and everyone else were waiting for aarav to get myrah so that then they can attack him.

Manik-(keeping pandit indulge in their talks) pandit, I'm warning you leave my son. It won't be good for you. Just leave him dammit.

Pandit- why so much care about this illegitimate haan? He is not even pure blood Manik.

Manik-(shouting) shut up. Don't you dare say that word for my son.

Before pandit could say something abhi hits pandit on his head from back making him stumble while aarav got hold of myrah and officers holds karan who fall down as soon as pandit leave him.

As soon as pandit left Karan, Manik holds him and started beating him black and blue. Even cabir and ram joined him and he was shouting in pain.

Aarav put myrah in abhi's arms and placed karan's head on his lap who was almost closing his eyes

Aarav-(caressing his forehead) buddy, please don't close your eyes. Hold on for little more, we have got you.

But Karan was losing his breaths, seeing which aarav shouted.

Aarav-dad, leave him..Karan....he is loosing his breaths dad. We have to take him to the hospital.

Everyone was shocked listening him and officers holds dhruliya and pandit while manik,aarav and cabir holds karan with different sides and abhi holds myrah whereas ram went to get the car.

They were moving out with Karan, when pandit snatched gun from one of the police officer and aimed at Manik which karan saw and he with all his left over strength pushed Manik resulting in him getting Bullet in his lower stomach.

Karan-(wincing in pain) ahhhhh

Everyone shouted in fear and Manik was just numb. He couldn't get what actually happened. Before karan could fall down cabir and aarav holds him tightly but Within seconds Karan was unconscious.

Pandit was again going to fire when Manik took another gun from one of the officer and shoot at his leg making him drop his gun.

Manik-(shouting crazily) I will kill you pandit.

Saying this he again shoot on his another leg which made him shout in extreme pain and he fall back.

Officers holds pandit and asked Manik to go from there as for now karan and myrah are their priorities.

Manik hurriedly settled at the back seat with karan's head on his lap. He was breathing heavily. Manik's heart broke seeing his son struggling for single breathe.

Aarav immediately called nandini to Inform her about Karan's condition. They were scared for myrah too as she was not opening her eyes but listening her heartbeats they were somewhat relieved.

Aarav-(on call)- maa, we are reaching hospital in 20 mins. Karan is loosing his breaths maa. His heartbeat is dropping.

Nandini- (worriedly) it will be too late for him aaru. Ask manik to give karan CPR till then. And who is driving the car? Where is myrah?

Aarav-ram Uncle is driving and myrah is unconscious. I'll ask dad wait.(turning towards Manik) dad, mom is saying that it will be too late for Karan, we have to give him CPR.

Manik hurriedly nodded and started giving karan CPR. Ram increased the speed of car while Nandini ran to get things ready. Now when she knows karan is struggling for oxygen, she was planning to give him that near hospital gate only. That's why she made stretcher and oxygen mask ready and now they were all waiting for the car to reach.

Luckily, they didn't get any traffic and they all reached hospital within an estimated time. Nandini and family members with other staff members were standing there with all necessities seeing which they took a little bit relief.

Mrudula and nandini lost their balance  seeing Karan's condition but soon hospital staff and Manik  made karan lie down on stretcher and put mask on his face to which he was taking long breathes.

In the meantime aarav with pediatrician which Nandini already called for myrah ran towards another ward and made myrah lie down. They didn't knew Pandit has given her sleeping pills so they were really scared.

Seeing Nandini going inside O.T. Manik stopped her and asked like a kid- Nandini, karan? You will save him right?

Nandini-(softly + tearly ) I promise manii....I won't let anything happen to our baby.

Manik nodded and pecked her forehead and soon she ran inside operation theatre while everyone stayed outside praying to God.

Aarav who was standing outside myrah's ward when saw doctor coming out, immediately rushed towards him asking him questions.

Doctor- calm down Mr Malhotra. Myrah is perfectly fine. They give her sleeping pills and that's why she is fast asleep. Once she wakes up in 2-3 hours make her eat something healthy and she will be all good to go. Also, I would suggest to make her talk about her emotions, as she is a kid who got kidnapped. We don't know what her mindset is right now. You are getting me right?

Aarav-(nodding in yes) yess, yess...thank you so much doctor.

Doctor patted his shoulder and walked away while aarav picked myrah in her arms and started going towards O.T. where Karan is admitted.

Seeing him coming Manik ran towards aarav and holds myrah in his arms and hugged her tightly as if hiding her from the whole world. He started dropping uncountable kisses on her face,hands,legs. Only he knew how he felt when he saw her little princess laying there on that hard floor. His heart is burning in pain seeing his children like this. He is determined enough that he will destroy those 3.

Manik-(worriedly) what happened to her? Why she is not waking up?

Aarav-she is fine dad, those asshholes give her sleeping drugs so she is fast asleep. Doctor told me to give her healthy food and also to make her talk about this incident as she is kid. All this can affect her in worse way mentally if we didn't talk with her and make her let her emotions out.

Manik nodded and again kissed her head, then pulled aarav in a side hug taking deep breathes while aarav too rubbed his back making him feel little calm. At this moment they just want nandini and karan to join them and make them feel complete.

Cabir-Manik, we should drop myrah at home.

Varun- but what if she wakes up and get scared after not finding you or nandini maa? Let her stay here for a while then after she wakes up, we can make her go home after giving her much needed assurance.

Manik-(slowly) okay, even I don't feel like sending her anywhere. Let her stay here, I'll take care of her.

They all settled down when after a while aarav got call from aradhya, he picked it up and came little away.

Aarav-(tiredly) hello?

Aradhya (worriedly) aarav? Where are you? Where is bhai and myrah? Did you guys find them? They are alright na? And you? You are safe right?

Aarav- (lovingly) baby, breathe...relax. I'm fine, yes we found karan and myrah. Myrah is fine but karan is in serious condition Jaan. Maa is inside with him in O.t. aradhya, you know he was struggling for single breathe of oxygen too...he was finding it so hard and then...then that pandit was going to shoot dad, but Karan came in between and he got shot in stomach. I'm scared Jaan, I'm really scared.

By end he was trying to control himself,he was stopping himself from crying.

Aradhya- we are reaching hospital aaru, please don't loose hope. Howz mrudula and manik uncle?

Aarav-(lowly) both didn't said a word, dad was only talking when I give him myrah after that he too stayed silent. He is holding princess so tightly, assuring himself that she is fine and his another son too will come out alive from that operation theatre.

Aradhya- don't worry Aru, everything Will be fine. I promise. We are coming there okay?

Aarav- hmmm.

They soon cut the call and aarav sat waiting for any positive news.

4 hours passed and no one from O.T still didn't came out. Everyone from the family was now sitting in hospital. As Nandini works there and is in high position, also everyone knows about Malhotra's they all were allowed to sit there.

Myrah was awake too, but she didn't utter a single word after crying for almost an hour in Manik's arms. She was clinging to him tightly while manik opened his shirts few buttons to make her feel little warm and safe.

Everyone asked her to come home, but she just wants to see karan. She wanted to go to him and was not ready to leave him or Manik.

That's when Nandini came out. She was looking hell tired and there were some tears in the corner of her eyes. She was looking really upset, seeing which everyone's breath got stuck in their throat.

She looked at myrah and her tears rolled down seeing her little baby all scared looking at her with fear in her eyes, looking for any info about her bhaiyu.

Manik-(worriedly) Nandu, what happened? Champ is alright na?

Nandini- (slowly) He is out of danger.

Everyone took a sigh of relief and then cabir asked her.

Cabir-then why are you so upset?

Nandini-( looking down with tears) he had so many injuries, bullet was stuck inside his stomach. He has lots of fractures Manik. He will take time to heal completely. His bruises were so ugly. (Then she looks up) Manik, please punish them. Do whatever you want to do but I want them to feel the pain which my baby suffered.

Manik-( with red eyes and determination in his voice) - I will Jaan. I will.
