A Long update ahead!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have just been cleared to land at the Sydney Airport .Please make sure one last time that your seat belt is securely fastened. The flight attendants are currently passing around the cabin to make a final compliance check and pick up any remaining cups and glasses. Thank you.

This is what karan could hear admist all the chaos going on in his head from last 20 hours since he had boarded the flight to reach his Grandparents as soon as possible. He had a very long flight, and to add on this the anxiety if his Grandma is safe or not was making him feel nauseous and dizzy. After all he can't afford to lose one more person. Can he?

Soon his flight landed and he came out of the airport to find a car already waiting for him. He immediately got in and asked the driver to take him to hospital directly.

As soon as he reached the hospital, he got the biggest shock of his life. He was stunned, emotional, disturbed, angry and what not seeing THE person in front of him. True he wanted to meet him since long but it's not like he was ready to face him, specially in this condition when he was not in his right state of mind.

Few minutes earlier

Raj and Manik were standing outside the Operation theatre as neyonika was being treated inside. Neyonika slipped from the second last stair from the top which had lead to a lot of blood loss further leading to a clot in her head and to remove that, an operation was going on from the last 05 hours as earlier the doctors were getting ready to operate her.

Raj was again and again looking towards the corridor as if waiting for someone while Manik was too lost to notice him. He was sitting while resting his head on the wall and was desperately waiting for the doctor to come out. He even called nandini and informed her about the operation and stuff which made her more worried but she knew that she needs to be strong at this moment. Also because of all this, Manik forgot about Karan's panick attacks, but soon he felt someone's gaze on him. When he looked at the person who was looking at him, his mind went blank. How did he forgot that his dearest Dad must have told his son as well? Seeing him after 08 years made his eyes teary but soon he got conscious of his surroundings on listening Raj's love filled voice.

Raj- Karan!

Listening to Raj, even Karan composed himself and hid his tears which both Manik and Raj noticed. Manik felt as if someone has poured acid on his burning heart. Nevertheless, Karan came forward hurriedly and asked Raj about Neyonika.

Karan- Dadu, Dadi how is she? She isfine right? Aap log bahar kyu khade ho?

Raj( holding Karan's shoulder)- Karan Neyonika slipped from the second stair from the top which resulted in a clot in her brain. They are operating her now.

Listening to Raj, Karan stumbled back making both Manik and Raj worried. Raj immediately held him and asked him to calm down.

Raj- Karan please be calm meri jaan. See Neyonika will be fine. You know right this doctor is my friend, he has assured me that it's nothing serious and she will be fine soon.

Now Karan got some relief on listening to Raj's words. He just nodded his head and sat down opposite to Manik. Soon, he got conscious seeing him after so long. Oh how he wished he could just run and hug him tightly, just hide in his arms and complaint about the evil world which made his life living hell or complaint about how much he misses him on every important event of his life which he spends alone,how he never had anyone with whom he could share his grief or his achievements. But alas! He can just wish all this because he knows how much Manik hates him. He would never want to upset him more specially when he knows how his mother is inside and how much helpless and disheartened Manik would be feeling right now.  

But the thing which he didn't know was yes Manik was feeling helpless and disheartened but not only because his mother was inside the operation theatre but also because his son was in front of him after 08 freaking years and he cannot hug him, or tell him how much he missed him, how much proud he felt when he saw him achieving something through video calls or how much it pained him when he was in pain. Pain? Wait that's what reminded him that didn't this boy had a panick attack yesterday morning and now he is literally here after a 21 hours long flight??? Knowing how much he cares and loves Neyonika, he knew that his son must be very anxious and depressed. What would be his mental condition right now? Hell he didn't even knew if this stubborn careless boy of his had anything since yesterday or not.

Manik immediately got up and walked towards canteen and messaged Raj about coming here. Raj frowned seeing his message but nevertheless, told Karan to wait, that he will just come. Karan just nodded his head again and closed his eyes resting his head on wall.

Like father like son- that's what Raj thought on seeing him like this and walked towards the canteen to find Manik gritting his teeths.

Raj(annoyed)- what is it?

Manik( angrily)- seriously Dad? You are asking me what is it? Why did you call Karan here?

Raj thought that he didn't wanted to face Karan that's why he is saying like this which angered him more and he very sternly said- What do you mean by why I called Karan here Manik? Neyonika is his grandmother and he has the right to know about her and even come here to see her. If you have any much problem with that, you can leave me and your son, ohh sorry MY GRANDSON ! We can take care of Neyonika very well.

Realisation dawned upon Manik. He got to know that his dad had misunderstood him . He immediately annoyingly said - Ohh God Dad! It's not about me, it's about Karan. He had a serious panic attack last morning, Kaka had to inject him and then you told him about Mom? It's a 21 bloody hours flight from New York to Australia. What he must be going through..do you have any idea? You could have told him later on. What was the need to tell him immediately. Look at him, I don't even know if he had anything since yesterday. Anyone can tell by looking at him that he is sleep deprived and hungry from ages.

Manik vented out all his anger while Raj stood there shocked. He never knew that Karan had a panic attack. He would have never told Karan about Neyonika until he would have been sure enough that Karan is stable enough.

Raj(shockingly)- What? He had panic attack? Again?

Manik(confusing) - You didn't know?

Raj(sternly)- If I would have known then I would have never asked him to come here. Kaka didn't informed me anything.

Manik- Forget it, just take this burger and hot chocolate and give it to him. He must be hungry and this hot chocolate will calm his mind.

Raj(smirking)- Karan likes coffee.

Manik(glaring)- I know MY SON better than you. He must be feeling anxious and caffeine will make it worse so please give him this.

Listening his statement, Raj's smirk fell off. How did he forget even though Manik shows to Karan that he doesn't care about him but he is the only one who can tell what his son is going through by looking at him. ( Okay may be not the only one but definitely one of them.)

Raj just glared his oversmart son and walked towards his sweet grandson with an evil idea in his mind. He knows how much Manik is possessive about his family especially Karan though he doesn't shows that to him and for sure, Raj Malhotra has many ideas for the upcoming days to show Manik the way of hell and back. Tough days are coming for you Malhotra- thought Raj dreamily while going towards his ladla grandson.

Raj caresses Karan's hair, who was resting which made him get up immediately being startled.

Another symptom of anxiety- thought Manik dishearteningly looking at Karan being easily startled.

Karan- Dadu? What happened?

Raj- Nothing Champ, it's just I bring you hot chocolate and burger. I know you must be hungry come on eat this or else your Dadi will kill me for not taking care of you.

He said last line jokingly to make things lighter while Manik gritted his teeth seeing his Dad calling his son Champ. How many times he had told him that only he is allowed to call him Champ! But does he listen? Hell naaah!
While Raj was very well aware about Manik's condition and was smirking mentally.

Karan- no Dadu...mera bikul mann nahi Hai...aap khalien please.

Raj- Karan Bacha.. please Neyonika ke liye?

And he hit the right cord as Karan agreed to eat. He just ate half Burger when the doctor came out. Looking at him, the Malhotra trio hurriedly walked towards him while the doctor was having a serious face.

Manik/Karan- how is Mom/Grandma doctor?

Listening each other, both of them looked at each other awkwardly and turned their faces while Raj had a small smile on his face.

Doctor- I need to talk about something very important. All of you come in my cabin.

Seeing him, Raj, Karan and Manik were worried as hell but still they followed the doctor to his cabin and sat infront of him.

Raj(worriedly)- What happened Edward? My wife is fine right? You removed the clot na?

Doctor (softly)- I'm sorry Raj...the clot is removed but there is a serious disease which we found in her body.

Karan( hurriedly)- what is it?

Doctor- Mrs. Malhotra has brain cancer, last stage. She has maximum a year left with her.
