Accident

Every couple has arguments....even the good ones............

Seokjin kept his eyes on his mate as he cooked lunch for the three of them. He enjoyed watching him cook.

"Wait....how much soy sauce is used again?"

"Three table spoons." Seokjin answered with a smile. "Three. I keep thinking it's two."

Hoseok continued his cooking. "Why don't you cook one of your creations, honey? I loved your spicy rice rolls."

Hoseok chuckles. "I know, but, I want to try one of your foods again. I keep messing up the beef bulgogi skewers. I'm not a chef if I can't do one simple dish."

"Babe, you can cook a beef wellington a lot better than that famous chef you like to watch."

"First, his name is Gordon Ramsey and second, he is the reason I can cook the wellington so he is still better than me." Hoseok sprayed some oil on the pan and watched the flames erupt before disappearing. "Alright, I think they are finished." Turning the stove off, Hoseok plated one skewer and gave it to Seokjin to try.

Seokjin smiles and quickly took a bite. Hoseok stares at him in anticipation. "Well?"

Seokjin chews. "Well. It's." Still chewing, he finishes. "It's very chewy."

Hoseok groans in anger. "But the flavor is there, honey! I can taste every bit of seasoning."

"I can't cook a thin slice of beef. I can cook all these dishes but that fucking skewer is messing with me." Hoseok sat on the floor with his hands to his face. Seokjin chuckles. "It's just beef hon."

"It's no just beef." Hoseok looks at his owner. "If I am going to release this cookbook, I need to know how to cook everything."

"Hoba, making your own cookbook is about showing the world the foods you make. Not everyone else's food. You have so many concoctions no one will notice that a beef skewer isn't part of it."

Hoseok pouts. "I guess you're right."

"I know I am." He kissed Hoseok's forehead. "Now, I think Joon is hungry."

Hoseok leans from behind the counter to see Namjoon sitting at the table staring right at him. Yeah, he's hungry. "Alright. Sorry, Joonie. I'll get you a plate."

After staying with the couple for almost two months, Namjoon has gotten better at talking, grammar is still trash though.

"Much hungry."

The two laughed at the male. "You better get cooking, before this one eats the table." Seokjin said as he rubs Namjoon's head.

Lunch was delicious if Namjoon's full tummy had anything to say about it.

"Dang Joonie, was it good?" Seokjin asked. Namjoon nods his head. "Yummy."

Namjoon watched as Hoseok dunks his head under water. "Is cold?"

Hoseok wipes the water off his face. "A little, but it's good since it's so freaking hot right now." He laughs. Hoseok wishes Namjoon can swim with him but the cast and boot stops him.

"Hot."

Hoseok nods and hops out of the pool and into the garage. "I think we have popsicles....somewhere. Ah, here they are. What flavor you want?"

"Not know."

"Ok well you are getting cherry."

Namjoon sat in a pool lounge chair eating his third cherry popsicle watching Hoseok swim.

"Ugh, it's so hot today." Hoseok complains. "Too hot to go back inside as well." There has to be a way to keep Namjoon cool, they only have so much popsicles. "More."

"I'm coming." And going in and out of the pool is more of a workout than swimming in it. "Seems we don't have anymore cheery flavored popsicles. Here, try the pineapple."

Namjoon dragged his body back to his spot and started to eat his popsicle. Pineapple is the best flavor. "Hey, I have to use the bathroom real quick. I'll be right back."

Namjoon nods his head and continued to eat. Once he was finished, he threw the plastic wrapping in the trash that sat next to his chair. Hoseok still hasn't returned. "Hobi?" Nothing.

Namjoon hates waiting. He stares at the pool and a thought comes to mind. Sitting by the pool floor, he sticks his un casted hand inside. Cold. Feels nice.

Taking a step further, he leans in to put his whole arm in. It feels so nice. Closing his eyes, Namjoon tries to enjoy the small amount of coolness to his body. The water was so cold, his arm is getting chilly, his face is wet, wait....his legs....he can't breath.

Opening his eyes, Namjoon sees he is under the water. He must have fallen asleep and his body flipped into the pool.

Kicking his working leg and arm, he tries to stay above water. "Hob!.....Hobi!"

His cast is heavy. His boot is heavy too. "Ho.....bi!"

Staying above water is difficult with the added extra weight and only limited limbs available. Also, he can't swim.

"Joonie!" A voice yelled out. Namjoon's head stayed under water he had one last breath being held. He can't get back above water. His eyes widened when he heard a quiet muted splash. Hands grabbed him and pulled him out of the water. "Hey, breath. Take deep breaths. It's ok."

Namjoon was terrified, he thought he died. Cuddling into the male's arms, Namjoon coughed out water every few seconds. "Jinnie. Scared."

"I know baby. It's ok." Seokjin rocked side to side to try and relax the man. "Oh shit. What happened?" Hoseok asked as he came out of the house. "He fell into the pool. Damn it, Hoseok. You were supposed to be watching him. Now Yoongi could be calling any moment now."

"I had to use the bathroom. I didn't think he would jump in the pool! And Min won't find out about this if you don't tell him!"

"He will know because he..." Seokjin's phone ringing brought him out of the argument.

"Shit." Answering the phone, Seokjin spoke. "Yes, Yoongi."

Hoseok glared at the tone Seokjin used when announcing Yoongi was the caller.

"He's fine. He just fell in the pool. I got him out and he's doing ok."

Hoseok lifted the still distraught human and sat him on the lounge chair.

"No I was here. Mang didn't do anything."

Hoseok turns to stare at his owner.

"Yes I know he got his cast wet. I'll handle it. Hell, I'll pay for the replacement. It was my fault." Seokjin glares at Hoseok with his last sentence. Hoseok pouted, just as angry.

"I'm taking him to the vet-hospital here, just call ahead so they know I'll be handling your pet."

Namjoon shakes, he hates hospitals.

"I'll send you the number. Yeah. Yeah ok. Bye." Seokjin hangs up the phone. "Fuck. You're lucky he doesn't want to see him." He picks up the injured man and walks inside the house. "I'm taking him to the hospital, you stay here."

Hoseok scoffs. "I didn't push him in so stop treating me like I did." He yells as he followed Seokjin to the car. "I'm not. I told Yoongi that I will take care of him and that you can watch him when I'm gone. I guess I was...." Seokjin stops himself. "Just stay here."

Hoseok watched Seokjin pull out of the driveway and down the street.

"I didn't push him." Tears fall from Hoseok's face.
