The morning was calm and serene. There were flowers flowing along the wind with the small bees buzzing around them. A scene one would relish.
Aayrah had just come from the shower with her damp hair and wet body, droplets falling on her shoulder and back. She had worn a kurti, maroon in color with intricate design of the same color and same colored cigarette pants down.
After drying her wet hair, she went down to prepare breakfast for everyone that took a good amount of time.
Now keeping the cup of green tea that her husband prefers to drink as soon as he wakes up, she hopped up her way to their bedroom.
Reaching her room, she saw her husband sleeping soundlessly, hugging the pillow which she had arranged in place of her. It was hard, she had to accept.
She kept the tray down and picked up the cup of tea and went to the balcony, which gives the view of the whole mansion as Izaan's room is at the corner. It was beautiful.
She had finished half of her tea, when a hard body was pressed against her back and she felt someone wrapping his arms around her waist. Nuzzling his morning face in her wet hair, Izaan sighed in content.
"Good morning." She whispered, biting down her bottom lip.
"Of course it's a good one." She heard him mumble.
"I have to go to the office today." He continued, informing him as a good husband.
"I know. I heard you talking to Dad." She mumbled as she turned towards him.
Taking the cup from her hand, he kept it aside and covered her hands with his own as she had fisted his shirt as always.
"I should probably get ready then." He informed and she half heartedly nodded.
The only thing she was thinking was, Stop behaving like this Aayrah! He had spent almost a week with you staying at home and this is how you behave in return? Now, behave like a good wife and listen to him.
"Okay." This time she gave him a bright smile which he gladly returned.

It was around 8 in the evening, an hour before the dinner time. The people of this house were busy doing something or the other. Well, most likely it was Dadi, Manyata and Aayrah. Her mother in-law was taking a nap due to her headache and Aayrah was now getting pampered by Dadi as she was already done with the preparations of dinner.
"Dadi, can I ask something?" Aayrah questioned all of a sudden.
"Of course." Dadi nodded encouraging her.
"Why didn't you prefer Reva for Izaan? I mean she's so good-"
"To be honest, it wasn't like I didn't like that girl. No doubt she was one amazing woman. I could see that. But, she wasn't the one for him. And I have always wanted you for Izaan. I always had this thought of making you my grand daughter in-law, no one else. It was the other family member's idiotic brains that made their alliance." Dadi grumbled.
"But at the end, whatever you wanted only happened." Aayrah pointed out looking at her sideways.
"Absolutely right. And I can assure you that no one is happier than me about this fact." Dadi chuckled.
"But-"
"Aayrah!"
It was Izaan's distant voice that cut Aayrah off right there and Dadi gave her a teasing smile.
"Go before he comes here too." Dadi said, patting her back lightly and she nodded, running her way out of her bedroom.
"How was your day?" She asked, handing him the glass of water.
"Good." He nodded while smiling lightly at her.
His life had definitely improved with Aayrah's entry. She would not leave a chance to brighten his mood and day in the simplest of manner.
He would impatiently wait for her to come to him and have a conversation. At this point of time, he won't even care if someone would call him whipped. This girl had snatched his heart and made it her own, completely.
In between all that tension of marrying Reva and their future had made him somewhat lost. He had forgotten how to live his life but now the time spent with Aayrah only made him see things with a different perspective. A positive and happy one.
"Did you miss me?" She cheekily asked, making him let out a laugh. A genuine one.
"Of course I did." He nodded with a smug look making her glee in happiness. It was visible in her expression.
"Here." He said while forwarding a box towards her.
"Is that my favourite blueberry donuts from my favourite cafe?" She asked excitedly, putting the pressure on 'my'.
"Yes, it is." He nodded and she instantly stood on her tip-toes, hugging him tightly by wrapping an arm around his neck. This made him wrap his arm around her waist.
Guess, this decision was actually good.
Nothing was better than seeing this girl happy.

Sniff
Sniff
Sniffffff
"Enough Aayrah. How long will you keep crying?" He cajoled, pulling her figure towards him who happily buried herself in his chest.
"But why doesn't he love her?" Aayrah sniffled.
"If that would happen, then what would be the purpose of the movie?" He questioned, raising his eyebrows.
To make up for Aayrah's boring day at the house today, Izaan had decided for them to watch a movie. And it was chosen by Aayrah, no matter she had watched it hundreds of times already and even cried every single time.
With the big flat TV screen in their room, they were laying on the bed, cuddling to each other and watching the movie.
The end wasn't satisfying, as always.
This innocent girl kept crying at the theme of the movie which she thinks is just like her life.
"Aayrah, stop crying. If you'll continue this, then remember we will never watch a movie together." He threatened and she buried her face in his chest even more.
"But this is so relatable. Look at us. We are in no different situation than this." She mumbled hoarsely.
"What the hell Aayrah? What do you even mean by this?" He asked, his tone changing in a flash.
His temper had never been good.
"Their marriage too happened in a hurry, without their consent. Look, they are not having a happy ending. He doesn't even glance at her when she's head over heels with him." She sniffled while explaining, her thoughts wandering to their wedding day.
Hasn't the same happened with them? Maybe he too doesn't even like her?
"I dare you to say that again Aayrah!" He gritted out, almost coldly.
"B-But-"
"What but? Have I ever told you that I don't want to be tied in this marriage? Or have I ever meant that with my actions? What do you want me to say? That I love you? So that you scare away right now and probably don't even talk to me ahead." He gritted out, anger pouring in each as his face displayed only coldness.
There had been ample of time of her witnessing his anger. It was always a difficult situation.
"But you didn't say that you want to be tied either. I- I mean there was no reaction from you towards all this." She mumbled, lowering her gaze.
How would he even tell her that he practically danced in the shower everyday at the thought of Aayrah being his wife?
"Aayrah, look at me." He sternly said.
She didn't comply. Her gaze was still lowered down, playing with the end of her silk shorts that displayed her slender and tanned legs.
"Aayrah." And this dangerous tone of his instantly made her look at him who was boring holes in her head in return.
"I believe it well that you very well know how I wasn't exactly interested in marrying Reva. No offense, but I could never imagine my life with her. Let it be her, I couldn't imagine it with anyone else except you." Words rolled off his tongue without any resistance making a wavered breath come out of her mouth.
"So you'll never leave me?" She asked with a small pout, her brown eyes oozing with innocence.
"Never. You're my wife Aayrah. There's no going back for us now." He murmured, rubbing her cheeks lightly with the pad of his thumb.
"And I don't understand why-" And before he could lose his temper again, she placed her lips on his', shutting him from speaking any further.
Both of them were frozen at the spot. Slowly, slowly she backed out and her eyes met his black orbs who were looking intently at her. They were darkened. She could feel it.
His hand reached up to her bare waist from the side as her silk shirt had ridden up. She felt him draw soothing circles there and she didn't realize when her sniffles had stopped completely, now a waver breath coming out of her mouth.
"I want to eat donuts." She said in between all of a sudden, with a sullen expression.
A groan came out of his mouth at her innocence, but it was soon replaced by a smile as he took her in his arms.
"Here." He said, forwarding a piece towards her of which she happily took a bite, swooning over the amazing taste.
"Share with me?" He took the chance of asking, though knowing how she hates when someone eats her share of donuts. She's just crazily obsessed over them.
Her disappointed gaze met with his as she gave him a scolding look. He looked at her so innocently, battling his eyelashes and she couldn't help as a laugh escaped her lips, and she nodded while biting the insides of her cheeks.
He was shocked at his level best. But before she could deny, he took the bite and embraced her again as the two kept cuddling and teasing each other, all late in the night.
//////////
He was seething in anger as he shut the door of his car with a bang making Reva flinch as she was still seated in the passenger seat.
Calming herself down, she got down and walked towards the entrance of his house where he had already gotten inside with his fast pace.
Her eyes landed on him who was pacing in the lounge, one hand kept on his forehead while the other was situated in his pants pocket.
For a moment, she felt scared of him and then she realized this wasn't the first time of her experiencing his anger. In fact, she had gotten through worse.
"Water." She mumbled, forwarding a glass of water towards him who instantly took it, gulping in a go.
And then it was the loud noise of glass shattering making her flinch and jump at her place.
"What is wrong with you? Couldn't you have spoken something good and relevant instead of the nonsense you spoke in the meeting? Do you even know how important it was for me and the company? Do you even realize what you've done today?" He shouted, eyes turning red second by second as he clenched his fist tightly.
She gulped in response, seeing his angry figure. It was getting hard for her to control herself and portray her strong.
"One time. This one time I decided to give you a chance to speak in such a crucial deal and look at what you did! Bloody have some sense of responsibility or not?" He continued yelling while stepping closer to her who took steps back.
"I didn't-"
He didn't let her speak.
"You literally said the exact opposite of what was in the presentation-"
"STOP IT! I said stop it right now!" She yelled back, glaring at him as she now took a step closer, having enough of him and his blame towards her.
"Were you zoned out when they clearly said about the presentation being at fault? I was the one saying the right thing which should've been presented and they bloody noticed that too! What if it was the opposite, it was the correct thing right?"
"Don't tell me just because you don't want to put that woman into blame is why you're blaming me for everything. Let me tell you Mr. Reyhan Kapoor, the only person who is at fault is you! You're the one who decided to give that woman, Alia a chance to make that presentation for such a crucial deal. You know it as well that she doesn't know B about Business and yet you made this decision. Who are you to put the blame on me? And what do you think of yourself?" She asked, jabbing a finger on his hard chest, as he took steps back at her every sentence.
"I don't care if you give her hundreds of chances or even thousands because this is your company, not mine. You should be having enough brain to make the right decision, not me even though it clearly displays who has more." She gritted out, shooting him a harsh glare.
"How dare you speak to me like this? Who do you think you are?" He roared.
"Then how dare you yell at me or blame me for everything? I am not someone who is going to listen to this nonsense all the time and will never be a source of taking your anger out. Go give Alia as many chances you want and then see yourself losing every deal, everything crashing around you. Even this company. You deserve this. And she deserves you. Actually, you both deserve each other as the only thing you guys know is how to destroy things and people!" She yelled, nostrils flaring due to the amount of anger she was feeling right now.
There has never been a time she was this angry. Not even when the villagers were forcing them for this marriage.
She turned on her feet hastily to walk away from him and what she didn't notice was the glass pieces falling on the floor that pierced her bare feet.
She shouldn't have removed her heels this soon.
"Ahh!" She yelped, taking her foot in her hands.
Blood was trickling down on the floor and the amount of pain she was feeling made tears run down her cheeks.
He was coming towards her to help with a worried look all of a sudden when her palm stopped him right there.
Her harsh glare for him was enough to make him understand how disappointed and angry she was towards him.
//////////
The only sound that was heard since an hour was her sniffles.
She was sitting on the balcony on the first floor. Only she knows how difficult it was for her to walk and bear this pain. But the more pain she felt was in her heart.
This time, he had crossed his limit.
She's not someone who is going to be a source for him to take his anger out. She has had enough in her life these days that all of this was only making everything worse.
A familiar cologne reached up her nostrils and she turned stiff knowing he's currently towering behind her form who was sitting on the floor instead of any chair or anything.
He sat himself right beside her with no such gap. In return, she instantly turned her face towards another direction so she couldn't see him and his annoying face.
He lifted her leg that was bruised with the glass, some drops of blood still leaking because of movement and placed it on his lap ever so softly that made her look at him.
He was dressed in just a pair of sweatpants, no tshirt. His hard abs were visible and she turned her eyes towards his face as feeling her face heating up.
"I am sorry Reva." She heard him mumble quietly but she heard it very well due to the utter silence.
In between he opened the first aid kit that he had brought and began cleaning her wound so softly that she barely felt pain. It was more because she was busy looking in his eyes. Her attention didn't waver from there.
"That woman, Alia, she is somewhat forced on me. She's a family friend and I was forced by my father to give her a job. I didn't pay attention to her. Maybe that's why she complained to her Dad saying she doesn't get any work. And then again I was forced by my father to make her handle a deal. I know I was doing wrong by making her handle such a crucial deal, but I was helpless." He began explaining as he rubbed the big cut with the antiseptic after removing the remaining glass pieces.
"I thought one deal wouldn't cost a lot. Maybe she would actually perform well. But only I know what I felt when I saw that presentation and her ideas. I might lose the company as it's still not in my name completely if I'll shout at her or fire her. Dad is too bent towards her father, even more than his own son I guess."
She hissed as his finger came in contact with her deep wound and she soothed the place down.
"Hearing you speak the correct things and whatever should've been presented only made my anger increase. It's time I tell Dad about the reality and remove her from the company in every sense."
"Look, I am really sorry Reva. You're the one who I see 24*7 and I have no idea why I took out my anger on you. Maybe because now you're the closest to me. Forgive me, will you?" He asked, this time looking at her as he was finally done wrapping her wound.
"I-It's fine. Maybe you can start boxing so that you punch the boxing bag taking out your anger instead of treating me as a punching bag for your shouts and blames?" She suggested with a mischievous shrug.
"That's not a bad idea." He nodded with a same expression.
"Come on, you need to sleep." He said while helping her to get up from the floor.
"Ahh!" She yelped as she bit her lower lip as it became nearly impossible for her to walk.
And without thinking or waiting for another second, he lifted his wife in his arms bridal style who was too shocked to react but wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning her head towards his chest as he led them towards the bedroom.
