Chapter 4 - The Camps Meet My Boyfriend/Fiance

The days passed faster than anyone would have expected. Every night, Kronos first picked Percy up from would kiss the man he loved the most and then wake up the next morning, alone, with the ghost of a kiss lingering on some part of his body.

Sometimes his forehead, sometimes his lips, his cheek, his-

Well, you get the idea.

Finally, after weeks of waiting the day arrived.

The Valentine's Day Dance.

In his room, Kronos straightened his tie and sighed as he glanced at his watch. Percy was supposed to pick him up 10 minutes ago, but Kronos had accepted the fact that it was impossible for Percy to ever do just about anything on time.

Then, with a flash of light, Percy appeared in the room. He was wearing a similar suit as him, and he looked way more nervous than Kronos felt.

"I hate you so much," he mumbled, shooting Kronos a glare. Kronos stared right back but with a smirk on his face.

"You just need to embrace the fact that you're in love with me," Kronos murmured, his finger gently tracing Percy's jawline.

"No, I don't," Kronos could practically hear Percy repeating those words in his head as if saying it more would make it less true.

"That night, you probably used some magic thing on me to make me agree to bringing you and pulling all those stupid stunts, I-"

"There was no spell," Kronos cut him off and turned away. "Now, can we please go?"

Chewing on his lower lip, Percy flashed the two of them to...

Some random street in New York.

Percy gripped Kronos's hand and pulled him along, dragging his palm across the brick wall to their right.

He finally stopped after his fingers found a brick that seemed a little loose.

Then Percy froze. "I can't walk in with you with me! You're why half of their parents are imprisoned!" He looked at Kronos with wide eyes, and his heart began hammering in his chest.

Kronos then promptly shut Percy up by placing a kiss on his parted lips. Percy hummed softly before pulling away.

"Stop doing that!" Percy hissed, his face gold. An elderly couple glared at them before they continued walking with their noses placed back in the sky.

"I'll come up with a mortal name for myself," Kronos whispered, his hands placed reassuringly on Percy's shoulders.

"My eyes won't be gold," he continued, his powerful golden eyes dulling to amber.

"And I, really like you," he finished kissing Percy's cheek. Percy scowled, but the lover boy in him was squealing in joy.

Muttering curses to every love god that existed in every pantheon he could think of, Percy pushed the brick into the wall and then knocked the brick above it five times.

The Mist rippled around them, and the brick wall faded away to reveal a door, which Percy pulled open and shoved Kronos through the door.

There was loud music blaring and demigods everywhere. Some were dancing, while others just sat on benches that lined the hall.

Dark walls and blinking neon lights.

Weird for a Valentine's Dance... right?

"Hey, Percy!" Annabeth Chase called out, ducking past two demigods who seemed to be eating the other's face off.

"Annabeth," Percy breathed, staring at the girl he once loved with wide eyes and gave a sideways glance to Kronos, who was eyeing the mortal girl before him.

"I didn't think you would be here," Annabeth said, cocking her head slightly to the side.

"Oh, um about that," Percy rubbed the back of his head, giving Kronos the perfect opportunity to start talking.

"He found me," Kronos smirked. He held up his hand that was clasped around Percy's.

Annabeth looked slightly taken aback.

"Drakos. Percy's... fiancé," Kronos said. Percy blushed. "W-What?"

Amazing, it was, the way the Fates weave the future. Sometimes, everything makes sense, while at other times, it seems that all they want to do is laugh.

Because at that very moment, none other than Piper McLean appeared. "Hey babe-" she had reached out and grabbed Annabeth's hand, and had frozen upon seeing a blushing Percy, and the dude whose hand he was holding.

Percy raised an eyebrow. "Babe?"

It was Annabeth's turn to blush furiously. She was as red as a tomato, while Piper spoke up for her.

"I'm her girl now. As I once very nicely said, 'Annabeth's now one big ole queer mess,'" Piper said, shooting Annabeth a loving smile while her thumb gently went over Annabeth's knuckles.

After the meeting with Annabeth, word spread like Greek fire- the Hero of Olympus had returned, and with him, was his very gay fiancé, Drakos.

And it was the pleasure of Travis Stoll to tell Percy that since Valentina Diaz had gotten bored with all the organization shit for the dance, he had gladly taken over.

Somehow, only Hermes probably knew, Travis had managed to dye Kronos's eyebrows pink.

"Punk," Kronos had murmured, along with asking Percy how he had lived for years at the insufferable mortal camp and how much better it would have been to just smite both camps.

----

"Perce, you sure his name is Drakos? He doesn't look like one," a camper pointed out.

Percy scowled. "No, his name isn't Drakos. This is the Titan Kronos, and he wants to propose to me soon," he shot back, not even sparing a second glance at the camper.

----

The dance was absolute torture until the screams began.

They echoed through the air, startling the demigods and Titans alike.

Kronos's eyes became their normal bright color again. The solid gold eyes gleamed, standing out in the gloom of the dark hall.

"Kronos, your eyes- they've become gold again-"

"A mere disguise doesn't bother me at the moment," Kronos breathed, fixing his gaze upon Percy's, sending a shiver down his spine.

Then behind the some demigods- purple lights flickered. Screams rose once more- each lasting a mere second before it stopped. It was as if the demigod had been dragged somewhere.

A golden scythe appeared in Kronos's hands. It glowed, its inhuman power radiating off it in waves. A force exerted by the ancient weapon pushed apart demigods standing in front of Kronos, so a path led from where they were standing to the source of the strange lights.

Kronos made his way forward, and demigods gasped upon seeing their new king before them.

Percy had never grasped why the demigods had never spoken of the new reign, but now some sort of spell seemed to have broken.

Percy willed himself to turn invisible, then silently drew Riptide, at Kronos's heels.

At the front, there was a large purple portal, taller than any demigod or Titan in the vicinity.

Purple and dark blue matter swirled in the portal, and bits and pieces of rock churned as well.

Kronos observed it, and Percy noticed a muscle in his jaw twitch slightly. He regarded it, then raised his scythe.

Hethruste the weapon through the middle, then twisted it.

He dragged it downwards, then when a spike appeared from the other end of the scythe, he pierced it into the ground, as if anchoring the portal to the ground.

He then let go before turning back to the crowd of demigods, his gaze searching for something, someone in the crowd.

"Do not step through the portal." Kronos's deep voice boomed, causing the ground beneath him to vibrate.

His eyes swept the crowd once more, before turning back to the portal. He hesitated for a second before getting sucked in.

Percy's eyes widened, Kronos had left his weapon and entered a realm where he had no clue what would happen.

Panicking, for no fucking reason again, Percy leaped through the portal still invisible, leaving behind the campers, who were bound to their places due to Kronos's order.

He had to protect Kronos.
