Synth was no genius, sure he did stupid things, but he wasn't dumb. He just don't understand hard things. Or even simple things

"Hmm..." Synth grumbles to himself as he sat on a edge of a rock. We're the water below him we're calmly chill, he sighs as he looks at his reflection. He was all alone... well-

"Whatcha moping dad?" Shi, his own daughter appeared dangling from a tree branch right in front of him, a concern and confused look on her dark purple face.

"Woah! Heheh kiddo you sure need to stop that!" Synth flinches a bit back as he laugh. "Uncle Branch really needs to stop teaching you survival." He shakes his head smiling.

"Pfttt!" She blows her tongue, "stop changing the subject! What's on your mind pa?" She tilts her head confused as she plops down into the water. As she swims back up to see him, her head only appearing in the water as she looks at her father.

Synth softly sighs as he leans onto his hand leaning down. "Just negative thoughts dove. But it's not that bad" he said softly as he smiles.

"Hmm.. you looked sad after dropping ma off at her book club. Is it cuz of what Val and Holly said?" She began to get out of the water as she climbed the rock to sit next to her father.

Synth flinched a tiny bit at that as he sighs "...." he looked down sadly , she knew. How? Who knows with his daughter. She even know things he and Laguna never told her. "You saw through me huh kiddo..?" He asked as he chuckles sadly as he rubs his arm gently with his other.

"hm... I guess.." Shi shrugs.

*flashback*

"You sure you be fine taking care of Shi and her friends? You know how she can be.." laguna said awkwardly as she and Synth we're heading to the public library, holding hands together as they walked.

"For sure dove! I know Shi and her friends can be very wild, trust me I'm wild as well!" He smiles as he held her close "just have fun with your club, I can handle Shi!" Synth smiles, assuring her.

Laguna sighs and smiles "Heh. Your right, I just need to put faith in you more..I apologize for my rational behavior." She said

"Uh yup! Uh... it's fine dove?" He said a bit clueless as Laguna chuckles as she pinch his cheek softly

"I mean I need to put trust in you, along with saying sorry for my mean attitude" she explained more easily

"Oooh! That's fine dove' I gets it, don't worry about all that, your man can handle a few radical kids!" Synth smiles happily chuckling.

Laguna sighs lovingly as she leans close to rest her head onto his shoulder, since she was a bit sort them him, though he didn't mind, he enjoyed it as he leaned close.

*at the library*

Poppy, along with Val, Holly, R and B, and a few other female and male trolls were at the entrance, chanting away about their newly book reading.

Poppy saw Laguna and Synth nearing them as she smiles "Laguna! Synth? Oh you two both showed up for our annual book day?" She asked them

"Nah! I'm only here to drop lagun here, gotta keep a eye on Shi and the gals and guys!" Synth said smiling

"Uhhhh What?" Val asked raising a eyebrow, she hasn't really understand Synth much, since well. They barely hang out.

"He means he's dropping me off while he has to babysit Shi and her friends from doing crazy things." Laguna explains her husbands words.

Synth nods, smiling.

"Uhh okay? Well anyway your in time! The library is opening soon!" Poppy smiles as she walks off with the rest of the trolls

Laguna and synth shared a goodbye kiss "I'll cya sugar, just have fun and radical away!" Synth said cheerfully kissing her cheek playfully and smiling

"Heheh, I know I know! Stop!"
Laguna said smiling "just be careful alright? You know those trio..." she said hissing through her teeth at a memory

"Nah they got nothin on me! I'm chills and cool, they be fine!" She assured her

Laguna sighs as she smiles "I believe you on that hon. Just. Be safe okay?" She kissed his cheek, putting a hand on his shoulder before she began to walk away to the group.

"Cya later dove! Have fun!" Synth shouted a bit as he chuckles when she tense up. He runs off a bit smiling at the fact he made her flustered.

Laguna sighs as she rubs her blue face. a big smile was hard to hide from her face. As the doors open for the club trolls, everyone began to move as the main cast began to stay put, chanting

"You know I can't really understand you two much anymore." Val blankly

"Val be nice. Sure Synth can be a little..." Holly hisses through her teeth as she tried to think of a word "different.." she said.

Laguna froze a bit as she felt her body turned cold "different how?" She said, a little offended. She hoped she wasn't gonna be hearing what she thought she would hear.

"Well uh. No offense lagun. But. Your husband's talking language is hard to understand..?" Holly tried to explain.

"No offense or anything but uh. How did you two even dated?" Val said blankly

Poppy quite froze a bit at the convo "woah guys. Come on don't talk mean about Synth! I mean sure he can be different and hard to understand-" poppy said trying to reason both sides

"Your AGREEING WITH THEM?!" Laguna snapped, turning to poppy, shocked and upset, she wasn't happy at the fact their trash talking about Synth a bit

"Woah woah Laguna! I didn't mean it like that! He's a good guy! I swear! He's just hard to understand, doesn't mean he's different in that way." Poppy said, trying to calm laguna down

"Yeah nerd chill, we're just saying. Why don't we just head inside to read." Val rolls her eyes a bit "last one there is a rotten troll!" She shouted as she running off, holly running after giggling.

Poppy sighs "come on lagun. We can talk more about this later okay?" She said softly as she walked off

"I... ugh. Fine." Laguna said annoyed as she walked after them

Unknown to either of them. Synth accidentally overheard them. He felt his heart sting as he stood still,

"Ooh... man that must of stinged." Shi said looking down a bit.

Synth shrugs "it's fine kiddo.." he said looking down, his fins sinked a bit as he looked in his reflection.

".... You know.. I don't think your different dad! And if anyone says that. Then who cares! They don't know us!" Shi stood up and posed a heroic pose "were a strong tide pool pa! We don't need no one who dare mock us!" She said cheerfully

Synth chuckles as he smiles, looking a little better as he watches his daughter being herself
"Your to sweet dove..." he said softly as he looks down, looking more mopy as ever

Shi frowns a bit, she looked down a tiny bit "pa.. come on. Don't be sad. I knows ma wanted to defend ya. But it wasn't the right time to yell. I'm sure she's talking to them about the issue." Shi said, resurring him.

"I don't blame her if she don't.." Synth said. "I know I'm different.. but.. I just.. didn't want it to be bad. I know I'm not good enough for your mom. Or even worth anyone's time." Synth curled himself a bit in a ball, he sank his head into his knees as he quietly cried. Unable to be heard

Shi froze as she felt shocked in horror "Pa-" her fins twitch a bit as she went quiet for a moment. As she gently placed a hand on his shoulder for comfort, "Don't listen to aunt Val and Aunt Holly. They don't mean it. Beside! I gets tons of insults a lot from Trolls! That don't mean it's the end, they don't know ya completely..." she said, trying to cheer her dad up, though it was faling. She sighs "I tried ma" she grumbles when Synth froze as his head shout up, he looked up confused.

Laguna was behind him as her arms were crossed, her expression itself was hurt. Mad and upset.

Synths fins sinked as he smiles awkwardly "Uhhh.. Hi dove??" He said with a cracked voice

Laguna sighs, "my club meeting was done 20 minutes ago. You weren't there this time." She raised a eyebrow at him

Synths expression paled a bit as he chuckles nervously "Ohhhhh my bad! Hehe! Clumsy old me! Forgetting simple th-" He was cut off by Laguna tone of voice

"Synth. Enough of that! I heard everything." She said, her tone dropping as she looked down at him.

Synth stayed quiet as he held his hands together to his fin legs. He looks down as his fins sinked.

Shi backs up more as she didn't want no part of this.

Laguna sighs long. She soon plops down behind him, hugging close to him, with her head on his shoulder, her arms wrapped around his waist, and her legs wrapped around him as well "Stop.. just.. please stop Synth... enough of the insults. I had enough of the way Val and Holly talking about you." She grumbles as she leans close to his body

Synth didn't move. "Well their right ya know. I'm different." He said softly as he leans close to Laguna's touch.

"So? Doesn't mean my love for you   Will ever leave. We're to symbiotic  to be apart." Laguna explained to him

"Symbo-wha?" He said confused, raising his unibrow.

Laguna sniffed a chuckle, as she leans close "it means being dependent on one another. Two beings. Being one." She explained to him as she kissed his cheek.

"Ooooh like a DJer and the DJ set! Two different beings make one!" Synth said understanding. smiling as he looks down

"Heh. Sumthin like that" Laguna smiles at him, "Your my DJer Synth. And I'm your Dj set.. okay?" She said softly to him as she used her hand to make him turn to her. Her eyes soften as her smile brightens.

Synth stares into her gorgeous eyes and smile, he sighs softly as he leans into her palm of her hand, "I know I know. I just.... want to be worthy enough for you." He said as he leans close to Laguna, who happily leaned close back

"If your worthy enough to be the ambassador of Techno Trolls. The father of our child. Your worth enough to be my husband." Laguna said kissing his nose.

Synth blushes as he giggled "Heheh. Yeah" he smiles as he kissed the bridge of her nose as he nuzzled her, "Come here you!" He wrapped his arms around her as he dragged her into the water

"W-Wait Synth n-no! Woahhh!" Laguna falls into the water, along with synth as she gave a cold glare at Synth, who just happily smiled. That cold glare melted into a smile as she laughed.

Shi soon tackled both "group hug!"she smirked as she laughs "can't catch Lonely time eh??"She teases

Synth and Laguna laugh as they smiled

Sure they were different. But it don't mean they can't be together. they went through hell just to be together. So why not a few years together hurt anyone? Nothing..
