Neither of the elder Cooper girls were all that happy about having to go to school that day especially Betty which surprised both Polly and Alice seeing as the blonde had always liked going to school because she loved to learn anything new that she could.

The two of them wanted nothing more than to spend all day making up for lost time with their long-lost baby sister.

Both girls had perked up pretty quickly though when Alice reminded them that they would be spending that particular weekend with her instead of their father like they'd previously thought due to Hal having called Alice the previous evening to inform her that he had to change weekends yet again because of a sudden "business trip".

Betty had rolled her green eyes at hearing this from her mother.

The middle Cooper girl hadn't been at all surprised that her father had wanted to switch his weekend yet again.

It wasn't the first time that Hal had wanted to do that and Betty honestly doubled that it would be the last time that it would happen either.

After enjoying a yummy breakfast of pancakes and eggs made by Alice, the 2 elder sisters headed upstairs to grab their school bags and jackets before making their way back down the stairs.

Both girls exchanged a firm hug with both Amelia and Alice before heading out the door, leaving their baby sister and mother alone in the house.

Amelia helped her mother clean up everything from breakfast. Once the two were finished with their cleanup, Alice asked her youngest daughter if she would possibly be interested in them going shopping for a few new outfits since all she had in terms of clothing was what she had been wearing the previous night and the few items of Betty's that she had found for her. She also suggested that they could go ahead and get a few items that Amelia would need for school since Alice planned to enroll her as soon as she possibly could.

Time skip to a few hours later just cause 😂

The mother and daughter pair had finally gotten their shopping done and had decided together to have lunch at Pop's instead of at the food court in the mall they'd spent most of the morning at.

Upon entering the diner, the two were immediately greeted by Pop Tate who was kind enough to welcome Amelia back to Riverdale again. The older man had known Alice for a long time and he had seen the devastating effect that having her youngest daughter taken from her had had on the blonde woman. He was thankful that she was able to reunite with Amelia though. Not every family whose child went missing was that fortunate.

"So what can I get you two ladies today? It's on the house too."

Alice tried to protest Pop's very generous offer but he insisted, explaining that he was doing so as a way to celebrate Amelia finally being home with her again after so much time.

Alice and Amelia both thanked him before giving him their orders.

Right as their food was brought to the table, Alice spotted Fred walking into the diner over her daughter's shoulder, FP right behind him.

The older blonde could feel her heart skip a beat at seeing FP. She couldn't help but think about how incredibly handsome he looked at that particular moment.

As if he could tell that Alice was watching him, FP looked over and locked eyes with the gorgeous blonde.

He stared at her for a few seconds before snapping himself out of his daze and smiled at her, earning a smile from her in return.

Fred suddenly nudged FP in his side with his elbow, causing his friend to tear his gaze away from Alice.

"Why don't you go over there and see if they would mind if we joined them, dude? It would be a lot easier than standing here watching you and Alice making obvious heart eyes at each other."

FP rolled his brown eyes at Fred's poor joke but also decided to do what he'd suggested and ask Alice if the two of them could join her and the girl he assumed was a close relative of hers judging by the fact that the girl had the same blonde hair as Alice.

"Hey-Hey there, Alice."

Alice couldn't help but feel a little bit amused at how awkward FP seemed to be acting at that moment. She secretly thought that it was kind of cute how nervous he appeared to be while talking to her.

Amelia stayed silent but was watching with interest at her mother's interaction with this man who seemed vaguely familiar to her but she couldn't quite place who he was.

"Hey, FP. How are you?"

FP felt a bit of relief at the fact that Alice was actually being nice to him at that moment. Their last encounter hadn't exactly been the best and he was honestly still kicking himself for what he'd said to her then.

"I'm good, I'm good. You?"

Alice smiled at him and replied that she was also doing well. She then realized that she had been completely ignoring Amelia during her interaction with FP.

"FP, you remember my youngest daughter Amelia, right?"

FP was taken aback at the news that the young girl with Alice was actually her long lost daughter. He remembered when Amelia had mysteriously gone missing at five years old almost ten years before.

Unbeknownst to anyone other than Fred at the time, FP had actually attempted to help Alice find out what had happened to her daughter back then with some help from a few of his most trusted Serpents. He'd known even back then that Alice's girls were her entire world.

He had wanted to help any way that he could have even if Alice hadn't been aware of what he was up to at the time.

"Sure I remember Amelia. Used to play with Jug and Fred's boy sometimes back in the day before..well y'know."

"Yes. Well, she finally came back home to us as of last night. Her sisters and I are so excited to have her home with us again."

"That's amazing to hear, Alice. I'm really happy for you and your family."

"Thank you for that, FP. Do you and Fred over there want to join us for the remainder of our lunch?"

FP and Fred ended up accepting Alice's invitation to join her and Amelia. The two men sat together on the side of the booth that Amelia had been sitting in while the teen joined her mother across from them.

As they ate their food and made small talk, FP couldn't help but notice that Amelia seemed to be pretty anxious to the point where she was sitting as closely to Alice as she possibly could. It was as if she was afraid that if she moved away from her, Alice would somehow disappear or something.

A/N: Like I said at the beginning of the chapter, I just wanna say that I am sorry that it took me so long to get another chapter of this story out.

Secondly, I know that the ending was a bit abrupt but I couldn't come up with another way to end it.

So what do you guys think of this chapter?

Also, any thoughts/theories about what might have happened with Amelia that seems to have her on the edge enough for FP to notice and how it might involve Alice?

Hope that you all have an amazing day/afternoon/night wherever you may be and please stay safe!!

🥰🥰🥰
