Tears And Sorrow

Disbandment Darkness Of Kpop In 2021

Kpop; a culture of Korea where musicians enact music videos and provide content. A spice of stories erupts when there is a crash between the company and groups. GOT7 faced the same because of JYPE [JYP Entertainment].

Being one of the most famous and richest bands in the K-pop industry shocks. It would only make sense if the band disbanded for a personal problem or popularity disparity. But, in the case of GOT7, they disbanded immediately without renewing their contract. What could be the reason?

GOT7 is known for its prey under JYP entertainment. A business should be out of the doors of family, but JYP kept it indoors and didn't give proper treatment to JYP.

JYP never left a chance to insult the members and their hard work. Yes, Jinyoung Park isn't the CEO, that doesn't give a reason to Mr. JYP to reject their pieces.

This incident repeated with another band, IZONE. IzOne debuted on October 29, 2018, with their first extended play (EP) ColorIz. Upon its release, the group received immediate commercial success, selling over 225,000 units and peaking at number 2 on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. Also, both the EP and its lead single "La Vie en Rose" charted on Billboard World Albums and World Digital Songs respectively.

IzOne was formed through the reality competition show Produce 48, which aired on Mnet from June 15 to August 31, 2018. The show was billed as a collaboration between the Korean Produce 101 franchise and the Japanese idol AKB48 Group. Out of an initial ninety-six contestants, the final twelve were announced via live television broadcast.

The group was scheduled to release its first studio album on November 11. However, the release was postponed due to the Mnet vote manipulation investigation. Investigations revealed that the Produce 48 producer Ahn Joon-young had selected the twelve members of IzOne from the top 20 just before the airing of the finale. As a result, IzOne's showcases, promotions, and several guest appearances were canceled or put on hold, which included the release of their concert film, Eyes on Me: The Movie, and their Japanese promotions.

Ever since then, IZONE fans started noticing the silence on the radio. They were getting fewer promotions and their group slowly became prey to disbandment rumors.

Once a band in K-pop indicates a hiatus and breaks, the next thing you must expect is a disband notice. Hiatus is usually meant to show how they are silenced first later removed.

This case happened to a band called Red Velvet. Initially 4 members now 5 members, went on a big hiatus with no sign of comeback in 2020.

The two members Seulgi and Irene did post out their EP Monster showing a new side of the duo but after promotions, they went into the dark again. Red Velvet's Member Wendy, however, had faced a huge life dangerous incident.

Another hidden reason for Red Velvet's disbandment could be the debut of Aespa. SM is known for kicking out old bands while bringing in new ones. This is just a rumor and SM stans have noticed this pattern for a long time.

For EXO, SHINee was muted; For NCT, EXO was hidden. Now for Aespa, Red velvet shall be removed.

No hate on the girls but this is complete hate towards the company, SM Entertainment for a bad managing ability.

Hopefully, we could see these members of Red Velvet performing as a soloist on a better platform.
