Talk Of Heart
Author:- MINNIEMALIST
Interviewer:- Faith
Hey, I am Faith. I will be interviewing you for the community magazine. I am really thankful to you for agreeing to this. What may I call you?
Hey there, Faith. You have got an awfully pretty name, I must say. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to participate in this project with you! And I go by Armani!
Thank you for the compliment, Armani! You have a pretty name too!

I have been a fan of yours since I read 'MASTERPIECE'. As a reader and a fan, I think your books are slightly underrated. Do you think so?
Why thank you? You are too sweet.
I would like to start off by thanking you for reading 'Masterpiece' ! I'm elated to have met so many wonderful people, throughout the course of writing that book.
Coming to the question, I'm very thankful for the amount of reads my book gain — no matter how much or how little it is. Although it feels like number matter in every aspect of our lives, and I won't deny that even I sometimes let them define my self worth. But at the end of the day, I think that if you truly enjoy what you're doing and take pride in it, the negative opinions of the people hardly matter — unless they are constructive criticism, of course, in which case, I welcome them with open arms.
—☆—
Wow, I love the way you are so optimistic. I am going to try to be like you. My next question to you is, what type of story do you enjoy writing the most?
Haha, I try. Though speaking in real life terms, I am probably the most pessimistic person you'll ever meet, unfortunately.
Ah, that's honestly a difficult question to answer. These past days, I have been experimenting with different genres and even venturing with a new genre I never thought I would try — fantasy. But I'd most probably say that thriller and labyrinthine murder-mysteries with a bit of romance are probably my absolute favourite genre to write!
—☆—
Mystery is one of my favourite genres too! Now onto the next question, how did you start writing? And most importantly, what made you keep going?
Honestly speaking, I have been into writing ever since I was extremely young — Five? Six years old? Ever since I could form sentences, that is lol. I always found it fascinating, how you could create a whole new world with paper and ink. Maybe my fascination with writing is where it started. Although I'd deem writing more of an escape mechanism for me now, something that makes me feel safe.
Keeping it honest again, I've lost interest in this passion of mine multiple times, owing to the time constraints being a high schooler. But I think finding people who motivate you and inspire you really helps you keep going in your field of work. Personally, I have made some wonderful friends on here, who have constantly supported me and encouraged me in every work of mine, and I am immensely thankful to them for inspiring me to continue writing.
—☆—
That's truly fascinating! Readers and supporters are the biggest motivation indeed. If it hadn't been for writing, what do you think you'd be doing right now?
I completely agree with your statement.
Hm, as i previously mentioned, writing is a sort of escape-mechanism for me; somewhere I feel safe. If it hadn't been for writing, I think another form of art would've taken it's place, since I've always had quite the fascination with the different forms of arts. Maybe painting or photography, since ai find both of these hobbies quite enjoyable!
—☆—
I am sure you would have been amazing in whatever you did!
What was the most valuable lesson you learned through writing?
Why, thank you so much. You're genuinely so sweet.
Personally, I think I still have a very long way to go and a lot of more valuable lessons to learn but one thing that I cherish is the feeling of venturing out of my comfort zone and being persistent and consistent with what I write. People may not always like what you write. Quite contrarily, some people might absolutely love what you write. You've got to truly accept both the good and the bad of what comes with it if you genuinely cherish and want to stay in a field of work.
—☆—
I agree with your statement. What do you think makes a good story?
I think the answer to this question lies in the eyes of the beholder. As I previously mentioned, some people may not like what you write and contrarily some people might cherish it. It truly depends on the perspective.
In my personal opinion, a good lead makes a good story — I think it's important to show character development throughout the books while at the same time not diverting from the main plot. Authors who are able to achieve this feat truly write some of the best books. Apart from this, having a distinctive writing style that sets you apart from the others is really important as an author.
—☆—
I love the way you answer every question! I wish I could continue this for longer, but that would be too much. So my last question to you is, what advice would you give a person who is working on their first book?
You are such a sweetheart. It was absolutely wonderful talking to you and answering these questions.
My advice would be to just — write. I know it can be quite daunting at times when you don't know your writing style or what genre you like to work with, or if somebody will even like your work. But you won't know unless you experiment. Believe me when I say this, it has taken years and years of experiments and trying out different writing styles and genres for many of the most accomplished authors to reach where they are today. So, as daunting as it is, just sit down and write because it's your passion — not just to please anyone, or not just to gain reads, but because it makes you happy. Because at the end of the day that's what truly matters.
—☆—
Wow. I am glad I got to talk to you and gain some valuable knowledge.
It was an honour talking to you. Thank you so much for giving your precious time to me for this interview. I wish best of luck for your coming projects!
Likewise! It was a pleasure talking to you!
Thank you so much! I'll be looking forward to seeing more amazing works from the community! Thank you again for this opportunity!
