I am chenhui and how may I address you?

Some people call me Micky. Otherwise I go by Michelle or Mich. I don't really have a preference. It's all by what you're comfortable with calling me.

What was that one thing that made you start writing stories and most importantly BTS fanfiction?

I've always had a passion for writing. Ever since I was little, I enjoyed writing essays and stories because it somehow made me feel better. I just like putting my thoughts and imagination onto a piece of paper where I am able to read it. I started writing fanfictions 5-6 years ago to see where it would go and how I would do. I didn't really think it'd bring me here. But at this time, I was pretty young. So my imagination was huge when it came to thinking about the possibility of being with these bts members, in a relationship (in general), going through these type of drama, and just having fun with plots. Therefore, it was me wanting to see what I can do with writing-using BTS members as an outline.

That's amazing how you started writing. Imaginations poured on papers do satisfy the authors. Do you think your messages are conveyed better from your stories? Is there some particular message you are trying to aim towards?

I think it's different for all of my stories. They all have their own messages. I'm not really the type to show that I'm vulnerable or what's going on in my life. I'm a very private person, but also an open book-I won't tell if I'm not asked. But there was something about how I was keeping many things inside, I just decided to write stories about my feelings and life. For example, Ideal Man was really surrounded by events that happened to me. And my other stories had messages like "love yourself" or "choose yourself, for yourself". It was all about "yourself" that I actually forgot that we need to also be able to love others as well.

As for the first question, I always think messages are conveyed better from stories or movies. Just cause we're allowed to actually see it or imagine it. Maybe it's just me but when you're in a situation, you don't usually notice the wrongs and lesson you're supposed to learn from the event. But if you're watching/reading this same situation elsewhere, you're able to see what's really happening and can learn more from that.

This is really touching. In this generation everyone must start learning to love themselves and change themselves for themselves and not for others. This is beautiful. Were there some hard times when you felt you wanted to quit writing? How did you cope up with it?

Actually, yeah. Lol. There were multiple times where I felt that way. And I still feel that way.

I have mentioned before that as I am growing older-and of course, I'm in college now-I'm slowly losing passion for writing. Not because it's boring now, but I haven't found the time or come up with great ideas where I think it's worth writing anymore.

Hope you get better. In your opinion, why do you think your books got the fame?

I think I just got lucky, to be honest. Hahah. But also, I've always talked about being different from others and thinking outside the box. That's what I did with my stories and I guess it just stood out to others.

That's creative. As you stated earlier that your books are trying to spread Love Yourself message, have you been able to love yourself?

I'm probably going to sound like such a hypocrite. But I think I'm working on it. It's like everyday, I love myself a little more though.

I just want everyone else to be better than me and live a happy life-with knowing that all you need is yourself, really.

I don't think I have anything. Just that I know I've been MIA, and I hope everyone is doing well & staying safe during this pandemic.
