<Continuation of the Hopeless past>

"So, you're saying I should resolve everything?" It was Jae-hyun who questioned the older omega as he sat comfortably with the pillows all surrounding him.

The irony here was that Yoongi was trying to explain all the crazy stuff to a teen who barely was qualified to have control over himself.

Sighing, Yoongi nodded and Jae-hyun started brainstorming once again. "So, the whatever silver you're talking about, can cut anything?"

"Yes and it ca-"

"Vengeance, Love, Evil, anything? Any emotion?" Watching Jae-hyun murmur was just like watching a mute guy starting to suddenly talk one day type of situation. Yoongi was however not fed up with the younger analysing the situation. He was rather happy.

"Do you know your Mr. Alpha once almost went crazy for you?" That immediately stopped the murmuring teen to look at the older with a 'really' face. Smiling, Yoongi nodded. "It was when you were a newborn. Jungkook took you to his workplace in our pack and Park Jimin, the dumbass thought someone abducted you"

A fond smile was traced in Jae-hyun's face as he heard it but soon, Yoongi's emotions dropped halfway and he spoke up again, "But then again, you actually went missing and that's when Jimin went primal"

Without a thought, it was too disturbing for Jae-hyun. "Living without them was kinda hurt. But I was used to it. However, Now I just can't afford to lose them again. What do you think?"

"I can help as your uncle but can't guarantee much of anything. The Immunai's powers are limited to the user. The user's powers are what would make it work. I don't know if you're immortal as well"

A little confused, Jae-hyun just hummed before questioning, "Is it important to be immortal or some to use it?"

"Not really. It's like insurance. If anything goes wrong with the silver in the process, it can suck on the life force of the user. If you're immortal like your parents, then maybe it can make you a mortal like the rest of us"

Nodding, Jae-hyun hummed again and the older omega was amused while watching the younger omega being a little too chilled. Nothing like his parents.

"Aren't you a little too chilled?" Yoongi chuckled as he looked at the teen. However what Jae-hyun said next shocked him to the very core.

"They won't know that their son died if I lose my life while preparing the silver. So, it's fine enough. However I've a request." He uttered and Yoongi hesitantly nodded.

"If I die, just make sure that they never know their pup was ever alive"

And that scared the shit out of Yoongi.

"Neither Jae-hyun nor the crescent blessed parents are free from death from the Immunai's power"

It wasn't intentional. However, Yoongi regretted ever telling Jimin about the Immunai. And more importantly mentioning Jae-hyun was the blow to Jimin's patience.

"Why Immunai? Why Jae-hyun? What do you even mean?" Jimin sat up, coughing blood in process as he tried getting up to confront the Omega.

Pinching his forehead in distress, grimace painted his face as it dawned that the Alpha will use his pheromones once he will be healthy to get the truth squeezed out of him.

"I can just tell you one thing. Other than that, I can't tell you anything" Yoongi murmured and Jimin nodded desperately as he tried reading the older Omega's face but it was just packed with constant regret.

"Tell me-"

"Ning is someone who can bring every hope of yours to live. Without him, nothing will thrive." Jimin's mind went blank. However, Yoongi's next set of words just made it worse. His fears surfaced.

"Nothing can bring back your pup back if not Ning. If he dies, Jae-hyun dies along"

The past was repeating itself. If he lost his pup now, it's gone forever.

"H-How Ning all of a sudden?" His panicked voice was surfaced over. And Yoongi just chuckled as a fond smile spread on his face.

"That human is not just anyone. You're lucky to have him around. However-" The Omega's smile immediately turned bitter. The change in pheromones was almost an irony.

"-he isn't that lucky to have people like us around him. Even with our Luna gifted powers, we won't be able to save him if needed. He'll die a miserable death along with Hyunnie if anything wrong happens"

The pheromones in the room were similar to that of a graveyard. Remorseful memories flashed over and over again until it was too much to awaken the Younger Alpha that lied on a separate bed.

Blinking his eyes, once, twice, thrice till Jungkook's visions are clear enough to spot Yoongi sitting beside Jimin.

"What happened again?" His voice resonated as the attention was all on him now. Jimin was shedding bloody tears as he wiped it down but the younger Alpha caught a view of those tears.

"Why are you cryi-"

"I can't explain twice again. I'll just say that if you try killing the human kid, It'll just be your loss. Bye" Yoongi bursted out with a sudden warning as he halted out of the room.

It wasn't the explanation he was trying to avoid, it were the tears that rushed out with sadness.

"What did he mean?" Jungkook asked as he stared blank at Jimin and the older Alpha just smiled. "He says Jae-hyun is the only one who can help us as parents"

As always, Jimin didn't mention the worst part. And as always, Jungkook would always be the clueless person. That was the only problem.

"Really?" Blood still dripping from his right eye was painful to watch but clearly, Jungkook was crying.

"Maybe let's suffer a little while he brings back our pup back?" Jimin smiled at him.

It wasn't that he wanted to hide the crucial things, it's just he was trying to formulate every detail himself until he's sure of them. But somewhere along the line, these are the things that may hurt Jungkook one day.

Jae-hyun sat down exhausted as he stared at the window in his room. The sun was rising again and his hopes as well were rising high.

The silver was almost done and all he needed to do was cut off some things here and there. But the most distracting thing was Eun. She was quite the lady who was only interested in leading a peaceful life till she dies.

However, he wanted her to meet his parents. Not parents but at least meeting Mr. Alpha worked as well.

It's been a while since he saw parents and now, he regretted ever talking rudely to them. He loved them more than he knew but it was quite unknown to him. The affection was so sudden that neither did he knew nor he wanted to know.

But, Today he was just missing them too much.

"It's too early to be distracted" He sighed, talking to himself as he buried himself in the cozy setting of his room.

The Gumiho's cabin was always warm despite being in the middle of the woods. The warm settings just reminded him of his childhood in the orphanage. However, they were all vague memories.

The latter wasn't having it.

In order to remove the bad and rotten memories, he needed to make better memories. However, again-

"If I die, I won't be able to see them again" Realisation struck as he sat up in panic. Getting up from the bed as fast as he could, he ran out to see Eun already sitting on the floor while stretching herself.

Detecting the panicked face of the omega, she called out to grab his attention "Good morning to you too"

Jae-hyun nodded hesitantly, sweat starting to form as he tried calming down.

"Why don't you go and get fresh air?" She asked sensing the panic in him. "Y-Yea"

He was wearing a pair of sweats and a thin t-shirt as he went out. The air was cold outside, yet the burns of his memories kept him distracted from the harsh cold weather.

Walking calmly, he stopped right before a tree. It was the tree where the Immunai was hidden. Staring down, his mind went blank and he kneeled down completely before tears of agony fell right on the earth.

He lost it right at the moment. The only thing only could've heard in the woods there was his agonising sobs. It wasn't unknown to him that he shouldn't be crying out loud yet, muffling down the sobs didn't help at all.

Not only will he die but his parents, whom he never knew existed will never know about him. What an irony!

He screamed "W-When did it all go wrong?" He wasn't in his right mind. Life is unfair. Falling down on his side, he curled his body as the cold winds took over his body.

Distant thoughts that never lingered his mind came crashing today and were causing agony to the boy. It was desperate yet no one was with him today.

He was trying to think what was happening to him suddenly that broke him this bad. But, Did he knew that it was always there. The teen never realised but he was the miserable one every time.

It was after a few minutes when the cold actually took a turn and the warmth of the sun that rose seeped in his skin. Slowly as he calmed down, he felt like dying in the inside. However, he just stood up.

Yet, he felt a slight bit of peppermint-y smell tingling his nose. It was Chein for sure.

"Why did you follow me?" Jae-hyun spoke up, his voice was breathy as he just stopped crying. The mood turned upside down when the Gumiho appeared right in front of his face, dangling upside down on the tree.

A remark on his face as Jae-hyun stood up taking a step back for the Gumiho to land down on his feet.

"Well- Make sure you're well covered"

The natural disgust in Jae-hyun's face just resurfaced as he spoke against it. "And why is that bothering you when you are legit wearing a satin robe?"

Chein immediately tsked in annoyance before landing straight on ground with his feet. Flicking his hair back, he spoke up, "I wear what I want. Plus I was making sure for you since it's cold in the Southern pack."

Jae-hyun sure was taken aback. "Southern pack?" But before he could say anything, Chein spoke up. "I ain't that bad, Hun. I had a particular goal and thanks to you, it's destroyed-"

It was time. Jae-hyun felt quite confused at some point where he tried talking but the blabbering guy won't stop. But there was a certain thing that attracted him into the incoherent blabbering.

"- But If you think of decaptivating me with that silver-"

Jae-hyun's eyes widened slightly before his trigger snapped and he spoke up loud and clear. "How did you know about the silver?"

Chein averted his expressions into a sly smirk before crossing his arms against his torso. "I ain't dumb. Eun is. But whatever. Don't cut me off with that since I just returned a favor to someone by abducting you"

That struck a certain interest in the omega. "What favor?"

"I don't really wanna say it but I'm also a fox. I don't do anything unless it's a favor." Jae-hyun just sighed at it. He didn't know what to do but Chein was true. He was a fox after all.

"Want a favor then?" Chein asked once again. But as a matter of fact, you cannot trust a fox. "Not really. I'll just have to find out"

"So you won't decaptivate me?" And Jae-hyun just shook his head with a smile. "I would cut you off into small small pieces if I find out you're blabbering nonsense"

Mumbling a little 'whatever' Chein tsked before walking away with a little shiver playing along his spine.

As Chein was out of his sight, he was quite relieved. His interactions with Chein were really messed up yet this one was pretty fun. That Gumiho never really helped however, this time he just provided a hint.

"He would've asked my lifespan as a favor" He sighed. "But is there really a way for me to sneak in the Southern pack?"

Just when he was about to turn around, the peppermint scent was back. And before he could respond, Chein was right in front of him.

"Of course, there is a way to sneak in" That didn't shock the omega but he was sure confused. His face well- it showed it all.

"I would've figured that out but when did you change your clothes and hair?"

From a satin night gown to a jumpsuit and from long hair to a short bob, Chein was almost unidentifiable.

"It's a Gumiho thing. Like Werewolves change their scents according to moods, we change physical appearances according to our needs"

It would be a lie if Jae-hyun said he was interested in knowing these things.

"But wolves can't control moods and shit happens sometimes." Well Jae-hyun can't deny that that. He just hummed. "What will you want if I asked how to sneak in?"

Chein backed away a little and smiled as he pulled out a empty packet of something. "Isn't that a cheese wrapper?"

"Well, I'm hooked. And I cannot go out of the woods because of that Alpha" and that's when Jae-hyun was bewildered with the thought. Chein, a gumiho who he thought was a renowned sly fox with no weakness was asking him to bring back a block of cheese while he goes to achieve something like an once in a lifetime chance of meeting his parents

"G-Great"

Chein just rolled his eyes back as he stepped back. "I know what you're thinking. I just once wore that crazy outfit from the dramas to intimidate you. It's pretty normal for me to want cheese, okay?!"

Jae-hyun had no answer to that. Thinking about it now, He realised just now that everything is similar to what he saw in Humian.

"Do you guys have cities too?" The unbelievable look from Chein answered that question.

"I'll show you the way while explaining. Is that fine?"

"Sure I guess" That just created a sense of humor. Even thinking about it was crazy. Just when did he become this close to Chein.

"Are you sure you will show me the way instead of trying to push me down the cliff?"

"Chill, I like my cheese more than I like to push people off the cliff"

'Well this isn't bad either'
