44.
Taehyung's POV
"Then think of this as our last fight, we have to keep fighting for something that is worth fighting for. You and I- Us- We are worth fighting for."
A small smile appeared on Jungkook's rose tinted lips.
"I will fight for you, I'd never go down without a fight." Jungkook told me.
I smiled, my hand brushing his cheek.
"I know you're literally in the dungeon of my house but you still somehow look amazing." I cooed.
He laughed, "Maybe you find me being chained up sexy?" He hummed, shimmering his shoulders which made me laugh.
"It's a nice sight, I must admit." I hummed as Jungkook's smile grew bigger.
"Part of me thought I wouldn't be as captivating for you if I was on land. My brain for some reason thought you were only interested in me because of the freedom and more choice that I could give you out at sea." Jungkook mentioned.
"That didn't contribute to the reasons I like you. It was just a bonus factor." I explained.
Jungkook softly chuckled, "Well that's a relief. Just please get me out of here because then we can hopefully spend more time together."
"I will, I promise." I hummed.
"Cuties." Dawon chimed.
I looked to the side and blushed when seeing some metal bars to the side of Jungkook's cell, some of it being stones and rock, other bits allowing for Jungkook's crew to see or hear Jungkook and I.
Before any of us could talk more, I heard the voice of my father in the staircase.
My heart pace exhilarated.
"Taehyung, come hide here with us." Dawon called.
I quickly dashed around from Jungkook's cell, shutting the door before slipping inside the other cell.
Dawon passed me a grey blanket which I used to hide my green coat.
I then slouched down by Dawon, hiding against her and the rock and metal bar wall between Jungkook and their crew's cells.
Of course Jungkook and I's eyesight was momentarily glued together.
My father banged on the crew metal cell, looking for me but he didn't see me.
He then walked around to Jungkooks cell making me gulp nervously.
He opened Jungkook's cell and I saw him walk right up to Jungkook.
"Where is he?" My father asked.
"Where's who?" Jungkook asked back.
"Don't play games with me, pirate. Where is Taehyung?" My father bellowed.
"I don't fucking know, he wasn't allowed to see us. That was your decision so I thought you'd be the first person to know that I wouldn't know where he is." Jungkook replied.
My body jolted as my father slapped Jungkook across the face.
Jungkook did look surprised but he still looked up at my father, not intimidated by him.
I so badly wanted to get up and make it stop but Dawon held my arm very tightly to stop me.
I didn't know my father would ever be abusive.
"Don't lie." My father snickered.
"I am not lying. I do not lie." Jungkook said making a small smile appear on my lips at his teasing behaviour.
"Taehyung was seen walking in this direction, do not try to tell me he didn't see you." My father boomed.
"Don't you have guards to stop him from coming down ere? They'd know better than me if he tried. Plus if Taehyung came down ere, he'd have left the same way you entered so if you didn't see him, he likely is still oblivious to my existence because you are messing with his brain." Jungkook snapped.
"I am not messing with his brain. I just want my son to forget all about you and your horrific behaviour. You would make a rebel out of my son. You make a joke out of him, thinking that he'd ever want to be yours." My father growled in Jungkooks face.
I was astonished by my father's words.
He speaks of my sexuality so poorly.
He's so happy to get rid of people that mean nothing to him. Specifically people that are deviant when us homosexuals just want to experience love like other heterosexuals.
He decides people's fate, he doesn't give them a chance to overcome their wrong doing and change.
Or a chance for him to understand people like me who are homosexual.
I'd had enough of watching my father speak.
I got up off the floor, passing Dawon her blanket as she gave me an uncertain look.
I then made my way quietly through the crew cell door, my hand undoing the lock because I know how it's done up.
I then made my way back to the staircase.
I wanted to stop my father from grilling Jungkook but if I act as though I don't know about Jungkook still, it may be best for me and for creating a plan to get Jungkook and his crew out.
I could've tried to get them out now but I know I don't have a king status so if my dad steps in front of anyone, he still ultimately has the power. I could even lose my chance to be crowned king if society views me as deviant.
I ran up the stairs, then ran down the hallway which was empty to my delight.
I then slowed my pace as I made it to the dining hall.
My mother and Jin were talking quietly but they stopped as I entered.
"Where were you? Everyone's been looking for you to remind you about tea." My mother questioned as I sat down near my brother at the table.
Golden plates, cutlery, and glasses were in front of me on the grand white wood table, a red rug with golden embellishments covering it.
"I went to the bathroom after getting dressed from fencing training, I didn't know I was late." I replied simply while gazing at a clock perching on the wall.
I felt Jin and my mother's eyes on me but I ignored it to play innocent.
"Where's father?" I asked as Hoseok poured me a glass of red wine.
"He went looking for you. Do apologize to him for wasting his time when he comes back." My mother told me.
I nodded, even though I truthfully had nothing nice to say to my father after what I witnessed with Jungkook.
Food was brought into the room and placed on the table.
We however sat in silence waiting for my father to arrive.
Not long after he walked in.
His walking pace was brisk but he walked slower when his eyes landed on me.
"Oh, you are here child." He hummed.
I nodded as my mother spoke up, "He was just in the bathroom dear, take a seat."
He sat down opposite me, pulling a napkin off of the table to tuck it into his blouse.
"I am sorry to have bothered you father. I didn't mean to be late to dinner." I spoke up.
He looked at me before giving me a slight nod.
Possibly uncertain whether he believed me or not. Hopefully Jungkook didn't say anything different and kept on lying to my father.
"Ah, I suppose your fencing training ran a bit late." He commented while food was placed neatly onto the plates in front of us by staff.
"Yeah, the last round did run a bit over time. I did my best to make it here on time but you know how Jimin makes Jin and I always look our best always." I responded.
My father's eyes lit up hearing Jimin's name.
"Are you close to Jimin, Taehyung?" My father asked.
My stomach churned hearing this question.
What I say could risk Jimin's safety.
"I'd say I'm close to a lot of our staff. But mostly because I see them day to day. Jimin is one of the staff that I am getting to know over time. I am fortunate to get to know about his passions for fashion." I replied, hoping he wouldn't connect that we speak a lot about other things besides fashion.
My father nodded, looking at the feast in front of us.
"Are you excited for your coronation on Wednesday?" My mother spoke up, changing the subject as my father began to eat.
"Definitely. I am feeling a bit nervous now about the role. But I am excited for the ceremony." I answered.
I began eating as well.
"I remember when that was me. You will do a great job leading the country Taehyung. Everyone here is to guide you and support you through this new journey and royal duty." My father said, covering his mouth as he spoke with his hand.
I rolled my eyes while hearing him mention the support and guidance because I know that is just a measure of control.
"We also have some news that may come as a surprise to you Taehyung." My mother spoke up.
All our eyes were on her but she nudged my father's arm to suggest he should tell me.
Are they going to bring up Jungkook?
My father hesitated but then spoke up, his words making my breathing almost completely stop.
"You're getting married!"
Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns? I fucking hate Taehyung's father. Taehyung needs to get them out man! The fact Taehyung is back and heard he's gay but are now proposing a marriage for Taehyung and obviously it's not to Jungkook is disgusting. Lmao imagine Jungkook crashes Taehyung's wedding after Taehyung saves him and his crew ahahaha. Anyways what yal thinking?
