28.

Taehyung's POV

"Ahoy their Jeon."

I turned around to the voice, seeing a male in his 30's standing in a long blue coat with golden embellishments, ugly puke coloured pants and black boots.

His hair was black as night but he wore a yellow headscarf which covered most of it except a couple strands.

I heard some of Jungkook's crew gasping.

Either hearing Jungkook's last name or from also recognising the person as I am not sure which yet.

"Long time no see." The male said while walking towards Jungkook and I.

"I see you've got some new crew since I left, I don't know why you got more when I was a prime member of your crew until you abandoned me." The male went on, his eyes falling on me.

Jungkook shoved aside the other captain's crew member that was still alive, raising his sword at the captain.

"We both fully know why I left you behind." Jungkook growled.

"Come on, you still can't be mad at me over that?" The male teased.

"What is Tan-kwan talking about Captain?" I heard Dawon ask from a distance.

"Oh did he not tell you all why I no longer journeyed with you?" The male that Dawon called Tan-kwan questioned.

"Shall I tell you then?" He said looking at Jungkook before at Jungkook's crew that he recognised.

"I challenged your dear captain for his position, he didn't like it so the next day he made sure to leave me on Korea's shore while you all left me behind." He snapped.

"It wasn't like that, you tried to kill me in my sleep. That is not the pirate way. We battle to the death, you do not try to assassinate me without giving me a chance to prove that I am the better captain." Jungkook hissed.

I heard gasps from behind us.

Jungkook must be very secretive if he's hiding truths such as this from his crew.

"You even were going to use a gun. Pirates cheat but not towards their own crew. To think I would've died without even being killed by a pirate's weapon is disgusting." Jungkook complained.

"Then why do you keep a gun beside your bed if it's not very 'pirate like'?" He asked.

"Maybe because I had a feeling that you were up to something and that I may have lunatics who try to murder me in my sleep." Jungkook argued back.

"You are a coward because you know your skills don't match mine. If you killed me, all of our beloved crew would be dead too from your mistakes and bad guidance." Jungkook snarled.

The male chattered his teeth while looking directly at Jungkook.

"It doesn't have to be like this between you and me. We were best mates." The male cooed.

"You don't attempt to kill your best mate Tan-kwan. You are manipulative and I will never fall for any of your games ever again. You don't deserve to be a Captain. You let most of your men's lives go to waste because you recognised my ship. You fucking attempted to attack all of your old mates when they could've died *scurvy dog. You are evil *landlubber. You deserve to *dance with Jack Ketch." Jungkook spat.

(*scurvy dog - an insulting name.*landlubber - a person who is uncomfortable, or not incredibly skilled, at sea. *dance with Jack Ketch - to hang (Jack Ketch was slang for the hangman))

"I don't want to see ye or ye crew ever again. If I encounter ye again, *dead men tell no tales." Jungkook said very sternly.

(*dead men tell no tales - the reason given for leaving no survivors. In this case used to warn them that he will kill them all.)

"Go check their *booty, then we are leaving." Jungkook ordered his crew who then disappeared inside the other ship.

(*booty - treasure or loot)

"Did you just say booty?" I gasped from beside Jungkook.

"It means money or loot." Jungkook told me his tone softened.

Hoseok laughed from behind me, "You thought it meant buttocks didn't you?" Hoseok teased me.

I smiled to myself knowing that was definitely my initial thought.

"You have a very inexperienced crew." Tan-kwan muttered while his eyes scanned over me.

"They still bet your crew and your crew were real pirates." Jungkook replied cockily.

"What's a pirate doing with a bunch of males that aren't pirates? Are you prisoners that are trying to please the captain to get free?" He questioned.

"More like he kidnapped or stole us." Namjoon spoke up from a distance.

"And you all are trusting this man, fighting for him and his crew? Why would you choose his side considering what he's done to you all." Tan-kwan gasped.

"Shut up or I will slice your head right off. Your sly words put everyone at danger." Jungkook growled.

Tan-kwan shrugged as Jungkook's crew brought out crates of jewellery and such.

"We are leaving." Jungkook demanded.

I watched Jungkook climb back onboard the other ship as I kept my eyes on Tan-kwan and his one living crew member.

Then the rest of us left his ship, going back to Jungkook's ship, knowing that the other captain and one crew member wouldn't try anything because they would be unsuccessful in beating us.

"Why are we going along with this captain and not the other?" I heard Hoseok ask just loud enough that us royals heard while our ship pulled away from the other ship.

"Sadly because a lot of Tan-kwans crew are now dead, we'd be outnumbered with skill versus this crew." Namjoon explained to Hoseok.

"Plus right now we are being promised to be taken back, whereas if we went with the other guy, he may not take us back ever or may hand us over for money or the ruling of Korea or something." I commented.

"True." Hoseok mumbled.

"This captain also gave us chest plates for our protection and made sure that his crew were looking out for us so this ship is the safer bet by far." Yoongi commented.

I hummed in agreement even though I know I just want to stay on this ship because of Jungkook.

I had no idea that someone tried to murder Jungkook from within his own crew before.

He must have to keep his crew in place or his life may be gone within seconds if he does something wrong.

Right now, his crew may even be questioning his leadership if he didn't inform his crew the real reason behind why Tan-kwan no longer worked beside them.

Jungkook may already need to be more careful.

However, from observing Jungkook's skills today, no one would be better than Jungkook.

I think it would be more if all his crew walked out on him if they didn't trust him, rather than trying to beat him in a battle.

My eyes landed on Jungkook who was directing the boat, his hands on the wooden wheel.

However my eyes scanned down to where Jimin appeared from under the boat.

My eyes scanned over his shocked expression but more down to his hands.

His hands were completely red, stained from what must be blood.

But Jimin didn't fight...

I rushed over to him now utterly concerned.

"What happened to you?" I gasped out, grabbing his red hands to check for exposed cuts.

However he was not bleeding himself, which means this was someone else's blood...

My best friend is wearing someone else's blood.

Jin's blood? It couldn't dare be... Could it?

"Boy do I have a story to tell you..."

Thoughts? Feelings? Concerns? Dramaaaa. What's gonna happen now? Who's blood is on Jimin's hands? Take a guess and comment it here before you read the next chapter hehe.
