Taehyung's POV

I sat in silence, the fresh salty air circling my head like an angel's halo as I dipped my bare feet in the crystal clear sea.

The cold water pooled around my ankles as I admired the scenery from the back of the boat.

Korea seemed to have disappeared from sight as all that was in front of me was the ocean.

Not a single other boat was in view.

I ran a hand through my blonde hair, finally feeling a sense of peace for the first time in a long time.

My white shirt gently blew against my tanned skin, while my jacket laid beside me.

Only when I finally get a sense of peace, it must be interrupted at some point.

I winced, scrunching up my nose as I heard a loud scraping sound.

At once, I jumped up, grabbing my shoes and jacket before stumbling my way to the front of the boat.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a large black rock had collided with our ship.

The others, one by one came out from the hatch which leads from the inside of the boat, to the outside.

They all gasped as they looked at the rock beside our boat.

We were stuck against the rock.

I crossed my hands across my chest while seeing Jimin flee into the hatch, the boat driver finally appearing out of the hatch.

"Our parents paid you a lot and a lot of money, and you crashed the ship into a rock." Jin snickered under his breath.

"Were you even looking at where you were going?" Namjoon snorted.

"Of course I was, just I didn't see that rock." The boat driver stuttered.

"Get us out of here, fix it." Jin demanded.

"Hey guys! You may want to come have a look at this!" I heard my best friend, Jimin, cry out from inside the boat.

I sighed, following behind Jin as we entered the hatch.

I gasped as I entered the hatch, water lapping at my ankles again.

"Ugh, my brand new shoes are all wet! And my trousers!" Jin shrieked.

I rolled my eyes, pushing past Jin.

My mouth fell agape seeing Jimin standing in hip depth sea water.

"I cannot work out where the hole is, there could even be multiple holes." Jimin explained, his hands feeling along the walls of the hatch.

"We need to get off this boat at once! This is not repairable when we don't know the extent of the damage." I exclaimed.

"Is there a safety boat!?" I exclaimed, waiting for the captain of the boat's answer.

Only there was no answer.

"Go back up to the main deck." I said pushing Jin's back as he followed the others back up to the deck, Jimin following behind me.

I needed to speak with the captain as quickly as possible.

We stumbled reaching the deck of the boat as one side of the boat began to sink and tip.

"Where's the captain?" I asked, looking at the others.

"I am afraid you will be mad to know where he is, sir." Hoseok answered me.

Hoseok stepped aside and my orbs grew wide with panic.

In the distance was the captain, in a safety boat, sailing away from us, leaving us stranded without a ship.

I am not mad however, just I am not an expert on boats or being shipwrecked or sinking, so the decision of what to do is not what I normally have to deal with.

"What the fuck do we do!?" Jin shouted in panic.

I've never heard those derogatory words leave my brother's mouth before.

He must really be worried.

"I'm too handsome and important to die!" Jin continued.

"Jimin, Hoseok and Yoongi, try to salvage anything from the water down there, clothes and food and such. The rest of us will work out if there is anything on here that will float and bear our weight because we can't afford to be stranded in the sea with our bodies in the water." I directed.

"On it." Jimin hummed as the three males headed away from Namjoon, Jin and I.

"Don't just stand there, throw anything you can into the water and see if it floats." I gawked.

The males nodded, rushing around the boat.

I threw some barrels in the water, and they floated. But there were only three barrels and we needed room for 6 of us to float.

My eyes scanned over some wooden horizontal gates that had square shape gaps in it.

They are usually the roof of prisoners' chambers, however if I was to get them off the boat, there should be enough room for us all to float on the wooden boards. Plus we wouldn't get eaten by sharks.

(By the way, by prison gate doors I mean these, just so you can imagine it better because I am not sure if my describing can actually establish the imagery of this alone. It's the thing on the ground, just multiple of them. And they will float on that.)

My eyes scanned around the deck as water began to spill onto the deck around my bare feet.

I dropped my shoes, abandoning them while tying my jacket around my waist, I then grabbed a metal spear that's normally used sometimes while fishing, and started to hack at the wooden latches that kept the wood attached.

While doing this, Namjoon stumbled over to me, catching onto what I was doing.

When the first board finally ripped off the boat, Namjoon grabbed the board, placing it into the water while Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok emerged back on the deck of the boat.

I then continued to hack at another board, hoping that 3 people on a wooden cross-hatch prison roof wouldn't make it sink.

My shins were now covered in water.

Sea water splashed around my feet with every whack of the spear.

Only my vision of where I had to hit had been removed by the water as we sunk.

The others started to get onto the other wooden board seen as it floated.

"Taehyung, Namjoon, maybe give up on the second board and get too safety on the first board." Yoongi tried to insist but I continued.

Finally the wooden board broke off.

Namjoon, Yoongi and I clambered to the second board with Jimin, Jin and Hoseok on the first board.

The boat sank underneath us as we perched upon the boards.

"I found some life jackets, put them on." Hoseok hummed from the other board, the three of them now wearing life jackets.

I knew how to swim so I was less worried about having one, only my brother looked pleased to have one slung around his wide shoulders.

"Good thinking with the wood." Namjoon commented from beside me.

I nodded silently.

I feel as though this has been the first time that Namjoon and I have had similar ideas and not judged the other person.

We tend to clash, both of us liking to think we are smarter than the other person.

It is just a shame we got along for the first time before we possibly drowned.

"I managed to save a couple suitcases." Jimin hummed, patting the suitcases beside him.

"One is mine so I can make more clothes for whoever I've missed- that's if we make it to land or something. The other two are who's?" Jimin asked.

"One looks like mine." I heard my brother state.

"The other appears to be mine." I heard Yoongi say from beside me.

"What do security guards even wear?" Jimin wondered aloud.

"A lot of black." Yoongi replied back.

"How boring." Jimin said with a sigh, giving Yoongi a disgusted look which was clearly stating that he has no style.

"I managed to get some food but it is not a lot." Yoongi spoke up, changing the subject as he opened up his black jacket to reveal some random food that he shoved into the inside pockets he has.

Normally he'd keep a gun in it or a knife so for once the pockets became useful in a less violent way.

My mind began to wander while the others continued to talk, Yoongi every now and again sticking his hand or foot into the water to paddle us closer to the others.

Only as my peace phase continued, it was bound to be interrupted at some point.

And would you believe it, it was about to be interrupted again...
