Taehyung's POV

"Jimin, I insist that you do not try too hard to make my outfit look good," I said with a pause, looking at the male in front of me who had a needle perched between his plumper lips.

"We are just boarding a boat for god sakes." I continued.

Jimin's shoulders rose as a big sigh left his gob.

Jimin works for the palace, ensuring my older brother, Kim Seok-Jin, and I get properly fitted for the clothing he makes for us.

Basically like a royal clothing designer.

Jimin was currently unhappy with his work on a plain white long sleeve shirt because loose threads hung along the sleeves.

"Watch your language." I heard a demand come from behind me.

I rolled my eyes as my older brother, or should I say step-brother enforced his demands upon me.

Jin is very prim and proper unlike me.

He's the desirable son of the king and queen.

However Jin is my mothers son and not my dad's son which makes him the adopted half blood royal.

This puts me in line for the throne as I am a full blood work of my fathers.

I have real royalty in my bones and veins.

I'd say I just am a bit more care free at times due to dreams of being a normal civilian.

I have hopes and dreams of a normal life where it'd have to work my way up ranks.

Being a prince gives me an easy life, only a life where the richest people troll my premises.

"Jimin it is fine, I will be wearing that golden brown jacket and waistcoat anyways so no one will see the few threads that are along my arms." I muttered as annoyance kicked in.

I'd rather just go aboard the ship and set sail for England so we can meet and greet the royal highness of England to establish a relationship with them before I become crowned king.

I just can't wait to get back home again and continue to ignore the outside world.

However the time that I am on the ship is very exciting to me because my responsibilities are dropped mostly in the time period that I am at sea.

It will be a breath of fresh air where I can do as I please.

"He's right Jimin, this may not be your finest work but no one will see your mistakes. You can continue to fix the threads while we are on the ship. We should leave soon or we will miss the boat." Jin exclaimed.

I nodded, looking over at my best friend, Jimin, for his approval.

He pouted before nodding.

I stepped down from the wooden stool that I stood on, letting my arms relax by my side as I picked up the finely worked waist coat and jacket that Jimin had prepared for me to wear.

Jimin became my best friend not that long ago.

We just began chatting a lot whenever he dressed me daily and his company quickly provided me an escape to sanity.

I loved learning about his life and the way he worked so hard to be able to make good money for his family, eventually ending up as Jin and I's designer.

Once I was dressed, Jimin- Who was dressed in all black attire, Jin- Who was dressed in a stunning green suit with a frilled cream-white shirt underneath and I headed down stairs from my chamber, and out to the courtyard where a 1900th century horse and cart waited for us.

"Do you have everything sire's?" I heard Jung Hoseok, our butler, ask while he loaded the cart up with our belongings.

"Yes, thank you for your assistance." I responded, Jin also agreeing with my words as we climbed inside the four person cart.

Jimin faced backwards beside Min Yoongi, our body guard, while I sat beside my brother as Hoseok was our carriage coachman, directing the horses to our destination at the doc.

Upon our arrival to the vessel, Jin and I were ushered to take a photo in front of the ship by newspaper reporters before we and the others boarded the boat.

I walked inside the main cabin on the boat, smiling lightly as I saw my cousin, Kim Namjoon.

Jin excitedly walked over to sit beside our cousin on a brown leather couch, while I sat down beside Jimin at the small dining table where he continued to fix up my shirt.

The boat began to depart, leading us out to fresh water where miles upon miles of just blue ocean was visible.

After a couple hours of Jimin fixing my shirt and overhearing my brother and our cousin talk about boring politics, I was finally free to do whatever I wanted on the boat.

"Would you like a drink of tea, your highness?" I heard Hoseok, our butler ask, his brown shimmering eyes piercing through mine.

"That would be lovely." I said with a soft smile.

Jimin packed up his belongings, taking his sewing kit to put in the corner of the room, out of the way.

Jin and Namjoon shortly joined me at the dining table for a cup of tea.

"It seems we haven't spoken for a couple years." Namjoon spoke up, looking at me from the other side of the table.

"Indeed, it seems our paths never crossed recently." I replied, lifting up my cup of tea to sip at.

The only reason Namjoon is here is because he and Jin are very close.

So when Jin said to Namjoon that he was going to England with me, Namjoon's curiosity booked him a seat as well.

I'd love some peace and quiet right now but with family, you never just get to relax straight away.

"Are you excited for your crowning ceremony?" Namjoon asked while munching on a basic plain vanilla biscuit.

"Not overly." I replied, thinking again about my responsibilities.

"Taehyung doesn't have much desire to be King." Jin muttered with a sigh.

"Why not? You can be the most powerful person in all of Korea." Namjoon remarked.

"Well I don't want to be. I have the responsibility of being the people's speaker, my decisions can affect the entire population. I have no interest in spending the rest of my life making decisions for the better good when not everyone will be satisfied." I explained.

"Utilitarian ethics will never please everyone, but you must please as many people as you can. It may not be your desired job but it is much better than working." Namjoon hummed.

But he is wrong. To me, working and seeing the progress of my own life sounds so minimalistic and desirable.

I seem to be the most humble rich person which will likely be good for my future role so I am not corrupted, however I just wish I had a choice over my future.

"Have you gotten married yet? I know your parents have been thinking about it for ages." Namjoon continued.

He is so nosy and he is really ruining my tranquillity.

"No, I'm sure you'd get an invite when I get married." I said, my eyes staying firmly on my cup of tea.

My older brother Jin has gotten married.

He married a woman of my parents choosing, only they got along amazingly.

They instantly fell in love and my parents couldn't be happier with the pairing.

Only for me, meeting women they have chosen has always not progressed.

I haven't liked a single girl that my parents have chosen for me.

I know the truth is that I am homosexual which is forbidden, however if I have to live with a woman for the rest of my life, I want to at least create a great friendship with my future bride.

It just doesn't seem to be possible.

However as I get older, I will need to find someone, even though I'd prefer to keep my riches to myself.

However every royal family argues that if you marry another rich person, you'd increase your net worth, even while spending money on your significant other.

I am just hoping I can convince my parents out of my marriage to some random woman, because I'd honestly rather be alone than marry and sleep with a woman.

If only I could sleep and marry a man.

Though I'd have to be knocked off my feet and saved by my own kind of knight in shining armour to fully commit to a homosexual relationship, even if I have to keep it a secret.
