"Kay!" I wailed, slamming on the metal door, making my fists hurting like hell as I banged on the door. "Kay!"

"Kylen, come on!" Savannah called as she, Amoy, and Nik began making their way down the tunnel.

"No!" I shouted, a short sob escaping me. "Everyone else is still in there!"

"Kylen, we have to go!" Larry grabbed me by my shoulders and turned me to face him. "We have to follow the rest of your staff and get as far away from here as possible!"

"We can't leave them!" I gasped. I could feel the tears roll down my face.

"Look here!" The blond boy tightened his grip. "They're fighting for their freedom! You're the one the staff chose! Don't let them die in vain! Now come on!" he released my shoulders and snatched my hand. He picked up my staff and shoved it in my free arm and we all began running down the tunnel. My sobs echoing off the walls.

The sound of the drill coming closer as we ran. My tears drying out and my throat getting hoarse. The staff glowed and a light slithered into the orb. The sound of the drill stopping.

We ran a few more miles until we came to a ladder. It lead up to what looked like man hole. Nik ushered Amoy and Savannah up the ladder and Larry had to push me ahead of him to get me to the ladder. I climbed up with my head low, my chest hurting, back feeling like it was getting torn open, eyes burning, and my head hurting. A silent hissing sound came from the staff, but it didn't seem to worry anyone, so I left it alone.

Once I reached the surface and Nik and Larry climbed out, we went on running, me being dragged to by Larry once more.

But I stopped after a few yards and yanked my hand away from Larry's. I turned back to look to where the cave and all the other survivors were, fighting to the death.

"We... We have to keep... Going..." Savannah panted.

"I... I just left them all behind..." I panted back, dropping the staff to the dead grass. "Now... Now they all might... Be dead... Because I'm not there..."

"Kylen," Savannah put a hand on my shoulder, "we can't linger on the past! We need to find shelter until we know what to do about Na-"

"Don't say his name!" I shot, shoving her away from me. "Don't you ever speak his name to me! Look what he's done to me, to us!"

"Your Grace," Nature began.

"Shut up, the both of you!" I turned to the transparent ghosts that always were behind me, giving me the chills with their hissing voices. "You have no room to talk, you haven't done anything to help!"

"Who... Are you talking to..?" I heard Amoy ask.

"I'm not crazy!" I spat, spinning around to face my friends. "I didn't ask for anything! For Kine, Natas, Nature, Time, none of it! I'd rather die than for this to go on any longer!"

"No one is blaming you for this!" Savannah assured. "If anything it's Natas' fault, Kine's, and Bás'. If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be-"

I brought the staff to my hand and held it to Savannah's neck. "Don't you dare blame Kine for this! She's what I'm doing this for! She wants to go to Heaven and be happy! It's my job to do that! But she can't as long as Natas is in control!"

"Then just take him down!" Savannah snapped. "You're the one with the staff!"

"What, did you want to be the one to take him!?" I roared, stepping up to face her. "Did you want to be the little hero!? Fine!" I shoved the staff into her chest. "Take it! I certainly don't want it! I want Natas gone! I don't care who takes him down!"

"Neither do I, but you got the staff, not me!" Savannah shouted throwing the staff to the ground. "Whatever happened to you while you died, I don't know! But wherever you were wants you! The rest of us are spare game!"

"That's not true!" I shot back.

"Yes it is! Why else did he only want to fuck you, while the others got raped by his followers!?"

"What do you mean by 'the others'!?"

"Yeah, we all got our virginity taken the night this happened." Nik explained.

"I didn't." Savannah admitted, making the others, including myself, stop and stare at her. "I had beneath the cot."

"You... You... You bitch!" Amoy screamed, pouncing on Savannah. They both fell to the ground, Amoy trying to strangle Savannah. "You just hid and watched us get tortured by those bastards! Don't you know that if one falls we all fall!?"

"We didn't fall when most of us died!" Savannah shouted back. "You're hurting my arms!"

"That's because I can't reach your neck!" Amoy spat back.

"Stop it! Stop it!" Nik ordered, grabbing Amoy while Larry grabbed Savannah. The boys yanked the cats apart, while they still spat and clawed at each other.

But I didn't get raped... I thought as the four tried to calm down. I'm still a virgin... At least... I think... I didn't fall, yet they still rely on me... 'Don't linger on the past' Savannah had said... But she was glad Luke died.... Humans are... Are... Selfish and are poisoned.... That's why this was happening... Children are pure and know no evil.... Adults grow wise and understand right and wrong... Teenagers... Teenagers are cruel and make their own decisions...

I let out a scream as everything became clear. I had to stop this madness. We didn't get a chance to grow wise. We're here so Natas can make an army of the impure young in this world. I had to stop him before we were all controlled.

"Kylen!?" I heard Larry call.

"Get yer 'ands off her, ye bastard!" Bás' voice hissed. My hand outstretched and I felt the cold of the metal of the staff against my palm. "Me an' her got an appointment!" She shoved Larry away from me, using my own hand. "Hope ye lads and lasses don't min' if I borrow this 'ere body. But she needs to get ready to save ye impure assess! Enjoy this 'ere face, because you won't be seein' 'er fer a long time!"

With that the wind picked up. Yellow, purple, red, and blue light swirled all around me like a vortex. My friends vanished behind the strange wall and the last thing I saw was a flash of bright light.
