stella left tony's care a few days later, telling him that she felt okay enough to go back to her apartment.

this was not the truth. she truly left because she felt like a burden on the billionaire. he didn't need more people to look after. she didn't want to inconvenience him anymore.

so stella went back home. she unlocked the door to her apartment and hesitated on opening the door. her hand froze on the rusty knob, debating on stepping back inside once more.

with a deep breath she opened the door.

she was met with eerie silence instead of the usual small barking of a certain dalmatian. tears began to surface but stella forcefully blinked them away. her throat felt constricted as she swallowed her cries away.

the woman walked into the space and glanced around sadly. fortunately everything was cleaned up, she could thank tony for that one. he had called some people to take care of the incident so she wouldn't have to do it herself.

the white haired woman sighed and dragged her feet on the floor as she made her way to the small kitchenette. her nimble hands opened the refrigerator and her eyes scanned the contents.

her options were simple: bottled water or beer for the drinks. eggs, broccoli, and zucchini. stella took out a cold beer and twisted the top off. she carried her drink to the living room couch and took a sip as she sat down. the cold drink chilled her throat and eased the lump that  had blossomed so suddenly.

her hazel eyes sadly looked at her surroundings. the atmosphere that surrounded her was quiet. there were no barks to be heard or the sound of tiny nails clicking against the tiled floor. all she was left with was silence.

with watery eyes stella took another sip of beer. and then another. and another. and another. a new alcoholic drink was brought out and was downed as quickly as the first.

somehow in the blurry mess her memory was she had occupied her lighter and blunts. as she smoked the cannabis her body began to relax from its rigid state. she didn't know how many blunts she smoked, all she knew was the feeling of being so relaxed that the woman finally began to fall asleep. she welcomed the drowsiness feeling and fell into a much needed sleep.
