SEVENTY- Pain and Heartbreaks
"That bitch ain't yo bitch, dawg." - Yo Gotti
ANT
"Well isn't this ironic?" Jessica mumbles as we walk to Jah's hospital room. "What?" I ask her. "Montana's room is next door." she says, pointing at a door. I shrug my shoulders. "Damn. Ain't it ironic though? I put both of these disrespectful ass niggas in the hospital right next to each other on top of that." I point out. She shakes her head. "You think we over exaggerated?" she asks. "Aw hell naw. Don't start feeling sorry for Jah pussy ass. Whether they had sex or not, a nigga ain't finna look me in my eyes and tell me my daughter pussy good and tell me she know how to ride dick and shit. That's a whole damn violation and he lucky I left my gun in the house cause I would've just shot the bitch dead." I tell her in all honesty.
I know my daughter gone start having sex one day but the look on that nigga face and his whole demeanor showed he was trying to disrespect me when he said it so I had to let it be known, I ain't with that shit. You gone respect me, especially if you even think for a second you gone be kicking it with my daughter.
"Well, we need to sit and talk to Reign later. We need to talk to Jessie and the twins too. And do you think it's time to give LaLa and Tae the birds and the bees talk?" Jessica asks me. I raise my eyebrow. "Yeah, we do need to talk to Reign but a nigga honestly ain't ready. She grew up so fast, mane. It seem like she was just my lil babygirl I used to sing to all the time, now I'm worried about her having sex. And what the hell we need to talk to Jessie and the twins for? Them niggas been getting pussy." I say, laughing.
She chuckles. "One of them might still be a virgin. Who knows?" she asks. "Quit trying to convince yourself the boys ain't grown up. Jessie eighteen and the twins seventeen. Face it. One of them already had a girl get an abortion, remember?" I ask. She shakes her head.
"Well then." she says. "I ain't having that talk with LaLa yet. And whether you decide to have the talk with Tae ain't on me. That's not my place cause he Montana son and I ain't getting in yall business. You know that nigga parenting skills ain't the same as mine." I point out. She nods her head.
I open the door to Jah's hospital room then allow Jessica to walk in ahead of me. I follow her in then close the door. Jah glances over at us. He got a concussion, one of his eyes swollen shut, he got plenty of stitches, and he just look fucked up overall.
"Fuck yall here for?" he asks. "So you can see who you shouldn't ever fuck with again." I answer. "Anybody ever tell you that you sound like a female when you get on some tough shit?" he asks, chuckling. My eyes trail to the bandage covering where Reign stabbed him. "I'll admit, you got heart." I admit. "Yo point is? I don't give no fuck about none of this shit. Imma still fuck with Reign cause I fuck with her tough and ion give a fuck who don't like it to keep it all the way one hundred with you. I'm almost nineteen and yeah, she just turned sixteen. Yeah, I got a baby. Okay? We established that a long time ago. What's yo point? Our age difference little as hell. She mature and we just be coolin' it." he says.
I fold my arms across my chest then look at Jessica. She standing here smiling a little. "What the hell you smiling about?" I ask. "Who he remind you of right now?" she asks. I shake my head at her. "Are you serious?" I ask. She looks down, laughing. Now that Jah just said all that, I already know Jessica about to start liking him, start allowing him around my babygirl, and she gone swear up and down he remind her of me. I can feel that bullshit coming and I mean it when I say I ain't going for it.
"Nigga, I don't give a fuck what was established a long time ago. You ain't allowed around my daughter, period. You got a damn baby. I know what young niggas with babies be about and my daughter ain't bout that life so naw, nigga." I say. "Let's do some math in this bitch real quick. If KeKe yo oldest son and he like twenty five and you only thirty eight or almost thirty eight if I'm correct. So if you thirty eight and KeKe twenty five, that mean you knocked Mrs. Mitchell up at thirteen." Jah says. "First of all, smart fucker, Jessica ain't even KeKe real momma so I didn't knock her up at no damn thirteen. You already fucking up. If KeKe was Jessica son it wouldn't be considered knocking her up. My pregnancies with her are planned." I correct him. "Nigga, what? Sir, what the hell you talkin bout mane? I ain't asked you none of that. I don't care about whether yall shit was planned or unplanned parenthood. Yo, what the fuck?" he says, looking at me crazy. "You got the attention span of a damn piglet." he adds.
Jessica bursts into laughter. "Not gonna lie, I was wondering what you were talking about too." she admits. "Shut up. The point is, I know what young niggas with babies be about." I say. "You can't judge me for a mothafuckin thing in all honesty, Mr. Mitchell. Think about that shit, mane. You had yo first child at thirteen and Jessie ain't Jessica son even though you named him after her. He by a whole other woman and Reign been told me you didn't even know he existed and you had him when you was young and when Mrs. Mitchell was pregnant with yall twins. Yo real issue with me is I remind you of yourself. Understand we ain't shit alike, sir. I'm my own man. If I was just here to fuck Reign, I wouldn't be having this conversation with you." he explains.
I shake my head. "Nigga, what? I caught you on top of my damn daughter or are you forgetting that last ass whooping you caught? You don't want a mothafuckin' thing from Reign. You right, you do remind me of me. I know the games you playing and that's why I don't respect or fuck with you. I done played them same damn games. You ain't fooling me at all with this explaining and shit you sitting here doing right now. You know how many females parents I pulled this same shit on, then fucked and left they daughters? I'll be damned if it go down like that around here." I tell him.
He shakes his head. "You really trying to tell me how I feel." he says, chuckling. Before I can say anything, his room door opens up. Reign walks in holding Dream in her car seat. She silently takes the baby out then hands her to Jessica. "Hey mommy baby." Jessica says, kissing Dream on her forehead. While we here, I should tell Jessica to head on over to Montana's hospital room so we can get this blood test done cause I'm almost positive I'm the real father of Dream.
"Wassup Reign? You ain't gone speak?" Jah asks. "Jah, shut up before I slit your throat. You lied on me to my parents like you took my virginity. Do you know how much trouble you caused?" she snaps at him, then throws her purse across the room at him.
I wrap my arms around her. "Calm down." I demand. "Daddy, I swear I'm not having sex. I'm so mad." she says, crying on me. "I believe you, babygirl, it's all good. You want him dead?" I whisper in her ear, hoping she says yes. She shakes her head no. "I just don't want to be around him." she mumbles. I sigh. I really was hoping she would've said yes.
"I'm finna go take Dream to see Montana." Jessica says, picking the diaper bag up off the floor. I narrow my eyes at her then watch as she walks out the room.
I turn to Jah. "Reign, come here, babygirl." he says. "Over my dead body. Reign, you better not." I say. "You being too controlling. She gone get rebellious and I like em like that." Jah says, laughing. I walk over to his bed then punch him in his mouth. "Shut the fuck up." I demand, putting my gun under his chin before he can talk. Reign grabs my arm. "Daddy quit being childish." she says.
"Get your purse so we can go." I demand. "You doing too much daddy." she says. "I'm protecting you." I say. "Protecting me from what? I'm fine." she says. "Again, get yo bag and let's go. I ain't gone say it no more." I tell her. She sighs. I need to smoke. This way too much for me to handle.
MONTANA
"Look at who the wind blew in. I guess you don't know me no more now that you back with your no good ass ex husband." I say to Jessica as she walks in holding my daughter. She doesn't say anything.
"You ain't gone say nothing?" I ask. "What do you want me to say to that? I brought Dream to see you. Tae is with my sons." she says, handing me my baby. I look at her face then sniff her white Armani onesie I bought her. "Where the fuck she get a gold pacifier from? What happened to the diamond one with her initials that I bought? And please tell me what the hell my daughter smell like that nigga Cologne for!" I snap on her.
"Montana, Ant bought her the pacifier. It's not a big deal. And he plays with her and stuff. He ain't gone hurt her in no way. He'd never harm a baby." Jessica says. "Don't let that nigga near my daughter no more and I mean it. I will take your ass to court and get full custody. Keep him away from my baby." I demand.
Jessica starts hysterically laughing. "Look you lil bitch. You just crossed a line your ass never should've crossed. I'll kill you, your lawyer, and the damn judge before I let you take a mothafuckin thing from me. Then I'll let Ant raise your daughter while you in the grave. Tae young. You'll eventually fade out his memory and he'll be calling Ant daddy. Now, how you love that, bitch?" she asks, glaring at me.
I sit up, looking at her crazy. I don't think I've ever pissed her off like this. "Who you calling out they name? If I don't call you a bitch, don't call me one. And I'll be damned if another nigga get called daddy by my kids. I ain't none of Ant. I don't tolerate no shit like that." I say.
"Watch your mouth then. I call it like I see it. If you say some bitch nigga type shit, imma call you a bitch." she says. "You acting like a little girl." I tell her. "I don't have nothing but respect and love for you so I'm not even about to get into it with you. Maybe, I'm over exaggerating telling you to keep him away from Dream. I'm just overprotective when it comes to my kids and I'll admit I do the most at times. I apologize." I say. I really don't feel like fighting with Jessica so I'd rather be the bigger person and squash it now.
"Don't ever threaten to take my baby from me again. That ain't cool. You know how I feel about that." she says. "I just apologized. I'm sorry." I say. "Apology accepted." she says. I nod my head then smile a little.
"You happy?" I ask her. "Yeah." she answers. I nod my head. She knows like I know that she lying. It ain't my business so I'm staying out of it but I can tell this shit with Ant still up and down for her. That's her problem. I can't make her want better for herself so she gone have to deal with his shit until she come to her senses.
"Bring Tae to see me tomorrow." I say. "He said he wanted to go to KeKe's kids art class." she says. "Let me see my son tomorrow." I say again. "I will get KeKe to bring him. When you getting out the hospital anyway?" she asks. "You'll see." I answer. She laughs a little. "Whatever you say. I got a question. Didn't you put that boy Jah on to some money that night Reign was with him and all that crap went down?" she asks. "Yeah. The boy got a son and his family to take care of." I answer. "Exactly what job did you give him? Do you have him drug dealing or doing hits?" she asks. "Neither. I got him doing something that's somewhat legal. I didn't wanna give him nothing illegal and put him in a position he ain't ready to be in." I answer. "Exactly what does he do?" she asks. "Let's just say I got him working with animals." I answer.
"Tell me." she demands. I chuckle. "He work with animals, like I said. Get out that man business, babygirl. He ain't doing nothing involving drugs or murders. Trust me." I assure her. I got him in a position where he bringing in at least two hundred thousand a week. I make sure I keep him paid for a reason. For one, I know he doing right by his son, he taking care of his siblings, and he making sure his momma get off the drugs.
"How is he as a person? Aint you with him a lot?" she asks. "He got a few loose screws, he gone always be a street nigga, but overall he a good kid in my opinion." I answer. "What kinda loose screws?" she asks. "The kind any real street nigga got. The young nigga been through a lot, ya know? It show in the way he carry himself." I answer. "Does he have a lot of girls around him?" she asks. "I don't speak on no other man business. You know that." I answer.
I really don't even understand why she asking me so many questions about him. "Does he respect women?" she asks. "Again, that ain't my place." I answer. "What if I said him and Reign are close and he pretty much made it known he isn't leaving her alone. Me and Ant fucked him up today and he still isn't backing down. I don't know what it is but despite all the issues the boy has, it's something that I like about him." she admits.
"To be real with you, he a nigga at the end of the day, so yeah, he getting pussy here and there. But really, Reign all he talk about. He stay mentioning her to me and shit. Supposedly they just friends. To be real, I already know Ant raising hell behind this shit but Reign growing up. She bad as hell at times but she smart. Trust what we all taught her. That girl ain't having sex until she ready. I ain't even worried about that." I say.
She doesn't say anything. "Sit down and talk to him before yall automatically say she can't fuck with him. That ain't my place to make that call." I say. She nods her head. "Well, I'm about to go. I'll bring the kids to see you tomorrow." she says.
I nod my head. "Noble still hiding from me, I see. I told him it's all good. Tell him come see me." I say. "Good luck with that." she says, laughing. I chuckle then kiss Dream on her forehead. I really have no intention to get payback for what happened with Noble.
NOBLE
"You straight?" KeKe asks. We sitting in a nail shop. It's pretty much all my siblings except Reign and Dream. KeKe took LaLa to get her nails and toes done so we here waiting. "Yeah. Why?" I ask. "You seem distant." he answers. I chuckle. "Naw. I'm good." I answer.
"First love hurt your feelings with the baby with Jah huh?" he asks. "Naw. It is what it is. I won't lie, I used to think about T all the time and every time I saw her I dissed her but I was really glad to see her and if she didn't start giving her pussy to any and everybody I would've considered getting with her again. She got a baby though. It's a wrap." I say.
"You sure?" he asks. "Yeah. Everything just hitting me back to back. First the whole thing with momma and Montana, now me and Miracle ain't fucking with each other no more, and now this. I can't catch a break." I vent. "That's life. It come with the pain and the heartbreaks. It's gone make you stronger. Trust me." he tells me.
"I won't lie, I miss Miracle like crazy." I admit. "Go try to make shit right again. Do it differently this time. Go alone. You messed it up by yourself so fix it by yourself. Don't go over there being typical and materialistic with flowers and a long ass speech cause that ain't gone cut it. Go admit your wrongs and let it be known you ain't on no games and that you serious." he says.
I nod my head. "I need to talk to uncle Vonte but I'll honestly fuck around and kill his adopted son." I say. KeKe starts laughing. "Mane, ignore Drew and Sean lil bad asses. Them niggas psychotic but they funny once you get to know em." he says. I shake my head. "I'm stressed." I say, sighing. "Go analyze everything that's broken and fix what you fucked up." he says.
I nod my head. "Stop me by uncle Vonte house when we finish. Imma stay the night." I say. he nods his head. I stand up then walk over to Tae while he plays with Amari.
"Awww hell naw." I hear Jessie say. "What?" Majesty asks. Jessie points towards the entrance. I shake my head, watching KeKe's girlfriend walk in holding another nigga hand. I glance at KeKe as he looks dead at Khari while she stares at him in fear and shock. KeKe starts laughing. "I feel yo pain, Lil bruh. These hoes really don't be shit but will get on yo ass about loyalty." he says to me.
"You good?" Majesty asks him. "I'm great." he answers. Khari walks over here. "Move." Amari whines, pushing her legs. I pick him up then sit him on my lap. He always get fussy when he hungry. "Um... what you doing here?" Khari asks KeKe. He stands up. "I should be asking you the same thing. I see you got ol dude with you. But if the roles were reversed and I would've came in this nail shop with a whole other bitch on my arm you would be trying to fight." he says.
"Chill. He just my homie." she says. The nigga walks over here. "Baby, she said what color you want on your nails." he says. "Fuck no." Jessie mumbles, chuckling. KeKe looks dude up and down. He a funny looking, ugly dark nigga. Not on no gay shit, but the nigga ugly as hell. If she was gone cheat, she could've at least found a better looking side nigga than him.
"Who is this?" dude asks. "Nigga, who is you?" KeKe asks. I shake my head. This ain't gone end well. KeKe changed into a more sophisticated person over time but that street nigga instinct ain't ever left and I can see now it's finna come out of him. "Fuck you mean who am I? We got a problem?" dude asks. "Marvin stop." Khari demands.
"Hell yeah we don't have no fuckin' problem." KeKe says, making his gun visible to Marvin. Marvin nods his head. "Let's just go." Khari says, grabbing Marvin's arm. He turns around then slaps the shit out of her, catching everybody off guard.
I look at KeKe trying to see what his next move gone be. "This nigga just slapped yo girl." Jessie says, wide eyed. Women in the shop are calling the police or staring in shop. Some are even leaving. Majesty walks over to LaLa then gets her so we can leave before it gets ugly.
"You just gone watch a nigga hit me?" Khari screams at KeKe, throwing magazines off the table at him. He shakes his head. "You just came in this bitch with another nigga, out here disrespecting me when I'm being faithful to yo phony, hypocritical ass and you really think Imma swing on yo nigga for hitting you? I don't give a damn no more. That's yo shit, you handle it. I ain't fighting for no bitch that's cheating on me with a nigga who beating her ass." he says.
Marvin draws back then smacks her in her face again. "You got a nigga and playing with my emotions and shit?" he snaps on her as she cries, screaming about how KeKe wrong. He shakes his head. "You chose a nigga who beating yo ass over me? Mane, it's a wrap." he says, then walks out the shop.
"I wonder if he finna get on his waiting to exhale shit and burn all her clothes in her car then walk off on some thug shit." Jessie says. "Jessie, shut your stupid ass up." Majesty says as we walk out the nail shop.
"Amari, stop whining." I demand as he pouts. "I'm hungry." LaLa says. "Okay we can stop and get something in a minute. Don't get in here whining. KeKe not in the mood." I tell them. "Wait, so his girlfriend got another boyfriend? What's wrong with that? Daddy used to be momma's other boyfriend when she was mad at yall daddy. Nothing is wrong with having another boyfriend or girlfriend that's better than the main one." Tae says.
I face palm myself. That's a conversation my momma gone have to have with him. "Talk to momma bout that." I say. "Why that man hit Khari? If I was KeKe I would've beat the brakes off him." Tae exclaims. "You'll understand when you older, Tae." Jessie says.
I honestly don't know if KeKe was right or wrong for not defending her. I'm just gone stay out of that crap they got going on.
All of us are in the Benz luxury van we came in. "Fuck, then I hit the bitch raw!" KeKe snaps as he drives. I look at him. I can tell his anger rising. "Calm down." Jessie says. "Who interested in helping me pack her shit up? She out my fuckin crib tonight. I don't give a fuck if I got the apartment for her, I want her ass out." he says. "I'm down." Majesty says.
I shake my head. Everything way too hectic. He didn't lie when he said life come with pain and heartbreaks. Ironically, he just got that.
