"Trial and errors, still, I fucks with her forever." - Rocko

ANT

I just paid for me, Jessica, and the kids to get into Incredible Pizza. All of us walk into the room that resembles a movie theater or something with big Televisions on the walls showing sports on ESPN.

The kids pick a table close the the wall, then sit. "Can we go get our food?" Noble asks Jessica. She nods her head yes. We can see part of the pizza buffet from here so they good.

I watch as all three of them walk out of here and over to the food. Jessica looks at me. "What? Why you lookin' at me like that?" I ask, trying my hardest not to smile.

She laughs a little. "We need to talk." she says. "About?" I ask, then sip some of my Fanta. "The kids. I don't know if I'll move back to California, I've been thinking about it but I want the kids to be able to see you whenever, so we gone have to work something out." she says. "Move back to California. You don't have to live with or near me, I just wanna see my kids and you know I can't move to Memphis when my whole damn cartel is in California." I say. She sighs. "Well, I guess we'll fly back there with you so I can go looking for a house or something." she says. I nod my head.

"And another thing, do not walk out of their lives again. Noble pretended like he didn't care, but I knew he did. You cannot walk out on them no more. Aren't you tired of breaking promises? Don't break their hearts again, Ant, for real." she says with her finger pointed in my face. I nod my head. "I won't." I say.

She nods her head, then checks her phone. She slightly smiles while texting somebody. "What nigga got you blushing? I bet the damn text wasn't even that deep." I say, becoming annoyed.

She looks up then rolls her eyes. "It's my lawyer, mind your business." she says. "Lawyer? Why you need a lawyer?" I ask. "Oh, no reason, I'm kind of in the process of putting you on child support. Nothing major." she answers, shrugging her shoulders.

I look at her crazy. "You lost your fuckin' mind, you not putting me on no child support. You know better." I snap on her. She starts laughing. "I'm kidding. The joke was funny, right? Right?" she asks. I narrow my eyes at her. "I ain't laughing so hell no that wasn't funny." I say.

"I'm sorry. Why do guys get so pissed about child support when the woman is the one who has to be there with the children all day everyday. When they're sick, tired, sad, lonely, misbehaving, crying, feelings hurt, or when they just want some attention, the mother is there.  Yall act like the child support will kill yall, it's nothing compared to what a real mother goes through everyday." she says.

I sigh. "Jessica, it's not like that. I just don't want to feel like I'm being forced to take care of my kids when I don't have a problem with doing it on my own." I say. "Yeah, whatever. Antasia, I mean this from the very bottom of my heart, if you ever walk out of their lives again, I will take you to court and take every dime you've made legally and I mean it." she says. "I believe you, damn, change the subject." I say.

She sighs. "I'm not trying to start stuff and be petty, but I really don't want Polly around my daughter. I don't want her around the twins neither, but I most definitely don't want her around Reign." she says. "How you expect her to not be around her when she lives with me and is about to be my wife, Jessica?" I ask. "No offense to you but she dresses like a slut, talks like one, she nasty as hell and she's open about what she does and I don't want my daughter going down that road thinking having sex with random men and women on camera is okay because she saw her daddy marry someone who does that." she says.

"Well, I don't know what you expect me to do but it's no way I can keep my fiancé and kids separate if she lives with me." I say. She sighs. "Why her?" she asks. "I ain't worried about yo love life right now so quit worrying about what I'm doing and who I'm doing it with. It's not your business, so quit asking me shit and quit bringing her up." I say.

She rolls her eyes then stands. "Whatever. I'm getting my food." she says with an attitude. I watch as she begins to walk out. I stand, then grab her arm to stop her from walking. She turns around, looking at me crazy. "You have a reason for touching me right now?" she asks. "Yeah... The wedding date just got changed to a couple of weeks from now instead." I say. "Your point?" she asks. "I want you to be in the wedding. Like, be her maid of honor." I say. She looks at me crazy. "Nigga, you got some nerve." she says, then slaps my arm away from hers.

I laugh. "I'm just playin'. But I want Reign to be the flower girl. Instead of throwin' flowers, we throwin' hundreds." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Nope. My daughter ain't about to be a part of that ratchet shit. What colors are yall wearing?" she asks. "Money green to represent money and silver to represent a stripper pole. We gone have strippers me and Polly picked from King of Diamonds and Magic City and since I'm from New Orleans we gone have all the popular bounce artists to come perform bounce music for the strippers to dance to. Then we gone have Snoop Dogg come and perform Drop It Like It's Hot, then we gone kiss. Oh, and Webbie and Lil Boosie gone perform." I answer, shrugging my shoulders.

She looks at me crazy. I look at our kids as they sit down at the table getting ready to eat, then look at her again. "I'm waiting on you to say you joking." she says. "I'm really not, I'm dead serious. I gotta pay a lot for Snoop Dogg, Webbie, and Boosie though but that's what Polly wanted so it is what it is." I say. "Is that what you want though, Ant?" she asks, staring in my eyes.

I sigh. "Yes, Jessica." I answer. "No it isn't. Remember when we were teenagers and you used to talk about how if you ever got married, you wanted everything to be flawless. You said you wanted something classy and beautiful, a day you and your wife would never forget. That wedding you and Polly planned is the total opposite. I know that's not what you want." she says, shaking her head.  I sigh, staring at her. "Yeah, well, shit changes when you get yo heart broken for the first time. You no longer give a fuck." I say.

She doesn't say anything. "What's that supposed to mean?" she asks. "I'm sure you know." I answer, digging in my pocket. I pull my bottle of mood stabilizers out, then pour two in my hand. "You've been depressed lately, haven't you? You don't look all happy like you did after you got help. What's going on?" she asks, watching me take the pills with no water. I ignore her, trying not to snap because I'm highly irritated right now.

"Hello?" she says, waving her hand in my face. "Nothin', I'm good. You just irritating me with these stupid questions." I answer. "Well, my bad." she says, then walks out to the buffet.

I follow behind her as my phone starts ringing. It's Polly. I answer it then put the phone to my ear. "Wassup?" I ask. "True or false, you back messing with your baby momma?" she snaps. "You got somebody following me?" I ask.

"No, I called your dad and asked him why you wasn't answering the phone. Why did you lie to me like you were staying in New Orleans with your dad if you really somewhere ducked off with Jessica? He told me everything, I thought you said you done with the messing around!" she yells.

"Well, for one, I drove here to Memphis to see my kids and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. Me and Jessica ain't on shit. All we doing is trying to figure out how to co parent the right way to keep our kids happy. That's it.  You may not like her, but you not about to constantly disrespect her and neither am I because at the end of the day, she is the mother of my kids and I don't want my kids to grow up resenting me for that shit." I say.

"That ain't what your daddy said! He said you went to Memphis to see Jessica! He said I'm a nasty hoe, he said he's disappointed in you for being engaged to me, and he said you don't even love me. He said you still in love with Jessica and another thing he told me was all you do is talk about her to him and that you never mention me. That's true?" she asks. I sigh. "Polly, me and Jessica don't want each other. She happy the way she is, she don't even look at me like that. If I'm marrying you, why the hell you still getting insecure listening to what everybody else say?" I ask. She sighs.

"Because... you remember what you did a year ago. You ate that bitch out and was creeping with her in the damn house I lay my head in. Then let's not forget how you got her pregnant with your daughter when we were together." she says. "What? I was just your friend that had sex with you at that time." I say.

"Don't cheat on me with her, seriously." she says. "Okay, Polly, dang." I say. "Why you got an attitude? You good for cheating and you and I know that." she says. "Okay. You pissin' me off so bad right now." I say. "And? Stay mad then!" she screams at me. "Bitch, fuck you. Go suck somebody dick like you always do, nasty hoe. Shit, get off my phone startin' shit up!" I snap.

She gets silent. I calm down as she cries in my ear. "Why can't you control your anger? That really hurt my feelings." she cries. I close my eyes tight. Why is my medicine not working? I feel like blowing some shit up, I'm so mad. "Look... I'll be home in a day or two. I'm sorry. Just worry bout the wedding. I'm not cheating on you. I swear I'm not." I say. She sniffles. "Whatever. Don't touch me when you get home." she says. "Wasn't gonna do that shit no way." I mumble. "Fuck you!" she screams, then hangs up.

I don't know why she acts so surprised. I was an ass hole the day I met her ass, she knew what it was anyway. I care about her, but I hate being accused and attacked. I don't even care when she gets mad. Every time an attractive female comes around, she swears I'm messing with her. She so damn insecure.

"You didn't have to talk to her like that." Jessica mumbles, then bites her slice of pizza. I raise my eyebrow. "Why you being nosey?" I ask. "Daddy, you were loud. Don't get smart with mommy." Noble says with an attitude.

"Who was talkin' to you?" I ask. "My mommy is part of me which means when you talk to her, you talking to me too." he answers.

"Ooh, Noble, stop being rude to daddy." Reign says. "Shut up." Noble says. "Don't tell your sister to shut up. And mind your business, I was playing with your momma." I say. "So? Who said I wasn't playing?" he asks. I chuckle, then playfully thump his forehead, making him, Majesty, and Reign laugh.

"I wish Jessie and KeKe were here." Jessica says. "KeKe swear up and down you feeling him." I say, laughing. I came into my son's life late because I didn't know, but the nigga became one of the best things that's ever happened to me. The boy is hilarious to me.

"Boy, no." Jessica says, laughing. I smile a little, watching her laugh. "You so ugly." I lie. She smiles. "I know I'm sexy, boy stop." she says, laughing. I raise my eyebrow, smirking. "You sexy? Naw, you ugly." I joke. She laughs. "My fine ass, boy stop." she says. I laugh. "Aight, I see you. You still got it." I admit. Jessica only got finer as she got older.

She smirks then laughs. Noble grins, then sips some of his Fanta. "Let me find out." he mumbles. "Find out what? Noble, shut up." Jessica says, laughing. I shake my head. My kids are so damn advanced and funny.

Majesty stands then walks over to a table where a teenage, Spanish girl around seventeen or eighteen is sitting. I noticed him staring at her since we got in here. He's only seven, but of course he'll like girls. I raise my eyebrow as he talks to her.

He grabs her hand, then pulls her up. He starts trying his hardest to grind while he sings to her. Me and my family over here dying laughing at him. "I see you, baby." Jessica says, recording him while the girl laughs and playfully belly dances as he sings. "He's so cute." she says to me. I laugh, shaking my head. This nigga ain't even tall enough to touch her chest. "Senorita, feel the conga
Let me see you move like you come
from Colombia. Mira en Barranquilla se baila así." he sings to her, then kisses her hand.

"Majesty is a pimp, daddy." Noble says, laughing. Majesty some type of way gets her to give him her number, then walks back over here blushing. "Really, baby?" Jessica asks. "Imma call her all night long. She sixteen. I know I'm seven but we only like nine years apart." he says, smiling wide, making me and Jessica fall out laughing.

A lot of people in here recorded him. It was so funny. "Baby, she too old. Don't blow her phone up." Jessica says, trying to stop laughing. "I'm gone marry her and have a bunch of mixed babies. Mommy, I like Spanish girls cause you spanish a little bit." he says, smiling. "You can talk to any girl no matter what race she is, okay? Because we're all equal." I say.

I'm mixed and so is Jessica but that's not why I said that. I'm more black than anything and so is Jessica, but I never really judged based on race. If you sexy, you just sexy. "They ass can be pink for all I care. If that's what you like, go for it." Jessica says.

The kids nod their heads. "Daddy, I got a boyfriend." Reign says, damn near making me choke and pass out.

"You got a what?" I ask. "A boyfriend. He's a boy that's just my friend and he kissed me on my forehead on the playground. He looks just like you. Daddy... he looks just like you." she says.

Jessica's eyes widen a little. "You got a picture of him in your iPod?" I ask. She nods her head, then hands me her pink iPod. I unlock it, then scroll through her pictures which are mainly her outfits everyday and pictures of her lip gloss.

I stop at a picture of a little boy. My mouth drops a little. That nigga looks just like my ass. I zoom it in. My heart starts beating fast. The kid got a dark mark on his arm just like Vonte had before he got a tattoo and covered it.

"This shit crazy." I mumble, handing Jessica the iPod. Her eyes widen as she stares at it. "Um... Ant." she mumbles, thinking the same thing as me. Me and Vonte resemble each other a lot, but the kid's body structure and a few of his facial features reminds me of Vonte. There's no way the kid could be mine. I never had sex in Memphis a day in my life.

"I'll be back." I tell Jessica, then walk out of there. I dial Vonte's number. "Yeah?" he asks. "You ever had sex in or with somebody from Memphis?" I ask. "Not that I know of. Why?" I ask. "Reign showed me a picture talkin' bout her friend look like me. I saw that shit and hell yeah he look like me and you. But the thing is, he got that same mark you got underneath your tattoos, and his body structure is like yours." I explain. "I don't want his ass." he says.

"Dang, Vonte." I say. "Who said he mine? I doubt it anyway, I don't even go raw. I went raw like twice and I had lost my virginity that time. Plus, she didn't even get pregnant, I was still fucking her for years until she got married." he says.

"Mane, this stuff weird. If he ain't mine or yours, he gotta be related to us. I can feel it." I say, shaking my head. "Well, go ahead and be weird. You really should leave it alone though. Apparently whoever raising him is well off if he can get into that expensive ass school Jessica got the kids going to." he says.

"Yeah... I guess. I thought you didn't talk to Jessica no more." I say. "We cool. I couldn't stay mad at her and I wasn't finna walk out on the kids." he says. "Aight. Imma call you back though." I say, then hang up.

Jessica walks over to me with the kids following. "I'm about to take them to the back so they can ride the bumper carts." she says. "Aight. I'll be back there in a minute, let me call my dad right quick." I say. She nods her head, then walks away with them.

I dial my dad's number. "Yeah?" he answers. "You got a kid in Memphis?" I ask. He gets quiet. "Who told you that?" he finally asks. "Reign showed me the picture telling me her friend look like me, and he does." I say. "Look... he looks like you because that's your full blood brother. Six years ago, I got your momma pregnant again and we didn't want nobody to know we were still messing around because I'm married, so after she had him, we sent him down there to live with her sister. I swear I'm there for him, he just went back to Memphis before you got to New Orleans." he admits. My stomach starts turning.

"That's some twisted shit. What the hell?" I ask. "He ain't wanting or needing for nothing. But now that you know, I was planning on moving him in with me and your momma permanently. Me and my wife are seperated." he says. I can't stand my biological momma but I knew they were still messing around. This stuff is nasty as hell. My parents aren't what you call old, and my parents still look real young. The young hoes and young niggas stay trying to get with them, but they were too old for baby making. All my siblings except my dead sister are half, I can't believe we full blood brothers and I never knew.

"Hell naw. Whatever, man. What's his name?" I ask. I don't know how to explain this to my kids. Reign's lil friend is really her uncle. "Your momma named him Adam." he answers. "Whatever, I'll talk to you later." I say, then hang up. I feel like I'm about to throw up.

I shake my head, then walk to the back where the game room is. I spot my kids and Jessica at the large Connect Four game. I walk over to them. "I thought yall were about to go to the bumper carts." I say. "They changed their minds." she says, watching them play.  I wrap my arm around her waist, then pull her back on me. "I gotta tell you something." I say, feeling my dick get hard on her butt.

She takes a deep breath. "Why you all on me?" she asks. "It's friendly. My bad." I say, getting ready to pull away. I change my mind, then pull her in a hug. "I missed you. Can I have a hug?" I ask. She hugs me back. "You're not the only person who missed me." she awkwardly says, staring between my legs.

I put my hand in my pocket, holding it down. "I'm sorry. I wasn't tryin' to disrespect you or no shit." I say. She nods her head. "I'm not about to go there with you and I'm not disrespecting Polly anymore. She's still your fiance as much as I hate her." she says, shrugging her shoulders.

I nod my head. "But look... the kid's name is Adam. He's my momma and daddy's son. She was pregnant and they hid it." I say. She gasps, then covers her mouth. "You lying." she says. "On Anyah grave I'm not." I say. "Oh my God, sorry to hear that." she says. "Mane, I don't even give a damn no more." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Dang. That's so ridiculous." she says. "Yeah, I know." I say. A tall white dude that looks like a body builder or some shit walks over here. "Hi, I'm Paul. And you?" he asks. "Jessica." she answers. He nods his head. "I wanted to know if I could have your phone number to get to know you better." he says. I raise my eyebrow, biting my tongue. She ain't mine, so it ain't my business.

She takes his phone, then bites her lip. Instead of typing her number, she hands it back to him. "I'm sorry, but no. I'm not really looking for anybody right now." she says. His face drops. "Man. Well, thank you for your time." he says. She nods her head, then smiles. He walks away looking defeated as hell.

"Why you turn him down?" I ask. "I told you, I'm chillin' right now. When I find the one, I think I'll know." she says. I nod my head, shrugging my shoulders. I got a million and one different things on my mind right now. My life is so complicated. Jessica grabs my chin, then gently turns my head to face her. "Quit letting everything get to you. Enjoy family time with me and our kids instead." she says.

I smile a little. "Aight." I say. She giggles a little, then pulls my chin hair. "Quit." I demand. "Why?" she asks, still pulling at it.  I wrap my arm around her waist, then push her down against the game next to the Connect Four game. "Quit." I calmly say, holding her down. She stares in my eyes. "Ooh, boy, get back." she demands. I laugh, then move.

"You ain't slick." she mumbles. "I know." I say, watching her pull her shirt down a little. "Noble, no!" I hear Reign yell. I glance at them, then shake my head as Noble and Majesty jump some boy who looks about nine. "Yeah, bitch!" Majesty yells, then slams his head to the side of the Connect Four while Noble punches him in his chest and face.

Jessica immediately snatches Majesty up. I go grab Noble. Both of them try to get back at the boy while he lays there crying while random people try to stop him. I grab Reign, then tote her and Noble out of there before we fuck around and have to deal with the police.

"Mommy, let me go!" Majesty screams while we walk out of incredible pizza. "Shut the hell up before I take my belt off in this fuckin' parking lot! I swear I'm about to beat yall asses when we get back to the house!" I snap on them, immediately making them shut up.

"Why the hell were  yall beating that boy like that?" Jessica yells at them while I drive. "How you gone scream at us and give us a whoopin when you don't know what happened?" Noble yells at me. "Who the hell you screamin' at? You better sit yo hockey puck headed ass back there in that seat and shut up." I say.

"Plus, your momma just asked why yall did it.  Don't play with me right now, Noble." I add. He blows, then punches the glass out the back window. "Oh heeeeeeeell no! Pull this damn car over!" Jessica screams, climbing over the seat while she takes her belt off.

She starts beating his ass while I continue to drive. It's too many white people over here, they'll call the police if I pull over to whoop him.

"You done lose your mind punching that window out." I say while Jessica continues to whoop him. She hits him one last time. "Now sit there and shut up! You better go home and get straight in the bed! How dare you punch my window out? And shut up before I give you something to cry about!" she screams at him.

I start feeling kind of bad. I feel like his reaction is my fault. He obviously took after me when it comes to anger issues. He probably wasn't even thinking straight when he punched the window. That don't make it right and he still getting punished, but still.

"Quit." I mumble, pulling Jessica down. She buckles back up. "Majesty, what happened?" I ask. "We were playing the game and the boy wanted to play. He was way bigger than us. Reign told us on him cause he poked her in her butt and she was scared to tell you cause you would've hurt him bad. So, he pushed her off the game for telling, so we beat his ass." he answers. "Watch your mouth." Jessica demands.

"Look, it ain't nothing wrong with defending your sister, but next time, tell me what's going on if me and your momma standing there, aight?" I ask. All of them nods their heads. "Guess what, Noble?" Jessica asks. He glares at her. "What?" he finally asks. "The money for my window is coming out of your Christmas shopping money." she says. "Leave him alone." I mumble.

Jessica know good and well she ain't gone do that. She blows millions on them every single Christmas. She knows good and well he getting everything his heart desires and then some.

She cuts her eyes at me, then looks straight ahead. "You okay?" I ask Reign. "I'm scared." she mumbles. "Don't be scared. Everything okay." I say. She nods her head. So much for family time.
