"Don't tell me—you actually ran into that twerp?" Levi's voice was hard and firm. For someone who rarely shows emotion, his face was quite easy to read.

Annoyed, irritated, unhappy. Usually he never appeared like this, but today when I mentioned running into Eren his soft demeanor changed. He sat across from me at the dinner table with his sliver eyes set on me.

Despite knowing this man for a year, his gaze still intimidates me. And usually it was a good thing.

"You act like it was a bad thing," I force out a chuckle. "He isn't all that terrible."

"Suri he made a crude remark about my—" His face suddenly brightens in the color red as he gestures his eyes down. "—you know!"

I fail miserably to hide my smirk and even more so when it came to my giggle. I knew all too well how upset Levi was about that. He glared down at his steak, his eyes lit with embarrassment and anger. Only I was the one who found it funny.

"Relax," I sigh as I attempt to hide my laughter. "He was joking."

"Joking or not that was still inappropriate! He's a shameless brat!"

I watch him carefully seeing how upset Levi became. I cursed at Eren's temper. It was the sole reason I couldn't sleep at night.

I had to tend to—Levi's frustration. And it left me in a pretty bad shape. But that's the least of my problems right now. Releasing a heavy sigh I stood, the chair screeching against the wooden floor.

"Should we go another round, darling?" I make my way towards him and swung my leg around till I sat atop him. He didn't seem all that phased, his eyes were still narrowed. "I'm sure I made it quite clear that what he said shouldn't make you worry. I mean—if you're still having trouble understanding then—" My hand snakes down his body till I grab hold of his belt buckle. I give it a little yank as I smirk deviously at my fiancée. "I'll be glad to show you right now."

"Suri," Levi groans with a hard look. "We're at the dinner table."

"So what?" I rebuke with my breath fanning his face. "Don't act like this isn't our first time doing it here. Remember?"

Levi swallows thickly as he tries his hardest to resist the urge to touch me. I admired his willpower. It only made me want to tease him a little more.

Slowly I undid the belt and slide my hand underneath his shirt. On reaction his body flinches to my gentle touch. I lean in close till my lips brushed his.

I run tongue along my own. My eyes hooded in lust.

"We were just like this," I say lowly. "It was during breakfast in the hotel in Sina, and you couldn't seem to get enough of me."

I give him a deep kiss before quickly pulling away. Levi instantly wanted more, his lips parted slightly wishing for my mouth again. I simply deny his wish by lowering my face to his neck.

"You sat me on the table, not caring if the people in the other room next to us would hear." I breath heavily against his skin, I could practically sense Levi clenching the armrests with all his might.

"Suri," he growls. "Stop—I'm serious now."

"Are you though?" I chuckle darkly. "You know you like this more than me. And I can tell you want to spread me out on the table like last time. Hearing me scream till I—!?" A loud gasp escapes when I was abruptly tossed in the air.

Levi had stood violently, the chair falling behind him in the process. He had tossed me over his shoulder in one simple motion, it took me a moment to understand what was happening.

"You know what?" He begins with a dark tone. "I guess I do need another lesson." He begins his walk through the house and up the stairs. I couldn't help but chuckle till we reached the bedroom.

"Took you long enough." I smirk when he tosses me atop the mattress.

I watch him with a hazy gaze as he begins to undress himself before me. I watch him with a predator's intent, my heart beating miraculously fast. I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing his magnificent body.

He was barely able to take off his pants before I grabbed him and threw him on the mattress with me. I set myself atop him once more. Levi did nothing, only smirking up at me knowing how much he enjoyed seeing me like this. I could only copy his expression finding myself more excited each second.

"Now let's get started, shall we?"

"So what brought you back here anyway?" Sasha's question lingers in the air as she placed a piece of cake in her mouth.

It was barely noon and she had decided to order a slice of cake as her lunch. While Annie, Mikasa, and I ordered a decent lunch. We watched her with a grimacing smile still surprised by the amounts of food she digests.

It's only been a week since I ran into my old group friends. A part of me was glad knowing nothing about them changed one bit. I sit back and take a sip of tea before answering.

"Work." I reply simply. "I got transferred here almost a month ago."

"A month?" Sasha gasp with food still in her mouth. "And you didn't bother contacting us?"

A judgmental and questioning tension suddenly overlays the table. I was wow notice to both Annie's and Mikasa's hurt look.

I shake my head quickly, "I-it's not like I chose to!" I quickly defend. "I was caught up with work and so was Levi. We both really didn't have time to go out and socialize, you know?"

"Levi?" Annie repeats with a raised brow. "You mean, he was transferred here too?"

I nod, "Yes, coincidentally. It was actually him that got here first though."

Mikasa nods in understanding before taking a sip of her drink. "What does he do anyway?"

I had to smile, Levi's career—he took great pride in it. And so do I. Watching him reaching his goals promotion after promotion he was now well-known across the three major cities; Shiganshina, Trost, and Sina.

He worked hard day-in and day-out. Never will I forget those nights where I spent alone in our small apartment waiting for him to come home. Or even come home for that matter. That simple 'what if' haunted me and still does today.

"He's a police officer," I say with a proud smile. "Captain of his own team."

Sasha releases a whistle with her eyes wide in astonishment. "Wow," she breathes. "Never knew the shortie had it in him."

"Hey! He's not that short!" I chuckle at her jibe.

"Captain, huh?" Annie nods in approval. "Heh, it's funny because his seriously looks like and has the same name as the popular cop everyone knows about. You know, Captain Levi? Everyone knows him as this handsome, cold, brutal officer who always gets the job done." Annie continues with a nod seemingly impressed with her analysis.

Everyone else seemed impressed too, only I could stare with such a blank expression. I wonder how long it'll take them to know he was Captain Levi. That he was famous police officer everyone's heard of.

Just as the three continue to gossip how Levi looked like the famous cop he was, I laughed. "Honestly, don't tell me you don't see it?"

"Don't see what?" Mikasa asked with a confused look.

"It's so obvious," I shake my head before resting my chin on the palm of my hand. "My fiancée is Levi Ackerman."

"Yeah, and?" Sasha sniffs.

I smile, "As in—Captain Levi."

I let that small known fact sink in for a moment. I watched in utter entertainment as the piece of information finally sinked into their brains. Sasha was the first to gasp loudly.

"Oh my god! You're engaged to him! The best cop this city has seen?"

"Oh, so you three finally got it," I grin happily. "But yes, that's him. The one and only."

Annie smirks in my direction, "Damn Suri. Didn't know your standards rose—I've always thought you'd be stuck with someone like Eren."

Sasha snickers in agreement, "Honestly. This is a huge step-up."

"Don't talk like that about Eren!" Mikasa suddenly fumes with a look. "What's he got to do with this?"

"Now, now," I sigh with a neutral look. I knew where this will lead, I wasn't all that excited to see Mikasa getting worked up about him. Especially in a small cafe such as this. "Let's not get feisty. Don't you have a husband anyway, Mikasa? Why do you still get worked up over Eren?"

Sasha smirks mischievously and leans close, "Yeah~~Don't you think Jean would be hurt to see you still defending the likes of him?"

"Tch, he's still like that," Annie mutters while crossing her arms. "What's new?"

I shake my head at her comment before looking back at Mikasa. I could tell she was getting uncomfortable. She looked down at her plate while aimlessly placing a hand over her red scarf——the one Eren gave to her when they were kids. I loosen a bit hoping to show her it wasn't a big deal.

"Anyway, you asked what type of job I was in, right?"

I made sure to steer the conversation into a different direction, loosening the heat off of Mikasa. She inaudibly thanked me with a small smile. I begin to tell them my career in the modeling business, and how it all came to be.

Despite finishing college a year earlier, I was scouted by the Rose Clothing Company. I've modeled for them since and became one of the top models in their business and others as well. It was tons of work and it led me back here to my home city.

Needless to say, I was proud of myself and the career I've obtained.

"Well, good for you Suri!" Sasha praises while stabbing a fork into another piece of cake. "I'm sorry I never pay attention to the modeling world or what-not, but now you give me a reason to."

"Don't bother," I smile. "It's really no big deal, honestly."

"I'm dragging to the mall one of these days," Mikasa asserts suddenly. "I'm going to need your opinion on some things."

Seeing that determined, yet hard look in her eyes I knew there was no way around this. I laughed awkwardly while agreeing to arrangement. It was quiet for a moment, everyone becoming reinvested in their forgotten food.

The silence was comfortable, one that I longed for for years now. I never realized how much I missed my old friends and the amount of happiness it brought me just speaking to them. That sense of serenity was short-lived, however.

I hear Annie snicker in disgust before crossing her arms roughly. "Speak of the devil."

Confused, I look over my shoulder to see a young man saunter into the building. He wore simple black sweats and a white shirt. A black hat covered his head while his long brown hair was up in a small bun.

I resist the urge to groan at the sight of Eren—I'd completely forgot about the bet I made with him.
Quickly I turn back around praying to God no one calls him over.

"Hey! Asshole!"

I grimace instantly, damn Annie and her vulgar names. I could sense everyone's eyes on us—even Eren's. Seeing how Mikasa's eyes lit up with a hesitant smile coming to her features, I knew he was headed this way.

"What the hell do you want?" His assertive, deep tone rumbled behind me. I thought every bone in my body shook just by hearing his raspy voice. I swallow hard, does he realize I'm here as well?

"Finally want to apologize?" Annie demands with a look.

Eren scoffs, "For what? For answering your stupid question? Yeah, hard pass."

The hairs on the back of my neck stood, he was too close.

"Don't have to be rude about it," Sasha sniffs with a frown.

"Well, you guys called me over." He rebukes. "All I want is to get my cup of coffee and leave."

"Then go!" Annie ushers with her hand, shooing him away. "But before you do shouldn't you say hi to the rest of us instead of Mikasa?"

It took me a moment to fully glance to Mikasa's direction. I notice the way she seemed contempt for Eren had placed a hand on the back of her chair. It was always her that he showed affection for.

Still, I never drove my gaze up to his. I regretted almost instantly when he agreed to the bet of ours. I was out of line and childish.

I already knew he was worse than the idiot asshole I knew in high school. I shouldn't have spent time trying to be friends with him. Looking back down at my plate I slowly ball my hands into fists.

I already felt a hard, stony gaze on me. Eren was staring at me as if waiting for me to break.

"Huh, didn't see you there, Suri. My bad."

I swallow thickly, my body moving on its own completely. I slowly look back and looking up at him this time. His head was tilted, there was that small glint of amusement in his green eyes.

He enjoyed seeing how uncomfortable he made me feel. Slowly, a smirk appears over his features. My throat abruptly constricts while my body suddenly becomes frozen. All I could do was stare into that coy gaze of his.

"Glad I ran into you?"
